Okay that will be great!! Mine took a while

Just to update on this, pre-approval is still not out, the relocation manager from my office said when they followed up, the labor office said there is delay because of Ukraine situation. Anyways I went ahead and applied for visa without it as I was running out of time ( I applied from another EU country which my visa there expires in few weeks to avoid Nigerias long wait for appointment) and got a response the next working day.

Hello everyone.
I urgently need your help. I am looking for the certified Spanish translators that are acceptable by the Spanish embassy. I am afraid of going to a company where my documents would not be accepted at the embassy. Please guys, need your suggestions, I am running out of time.
I will be happy if you can list some of the translators.
Thank you.

which city are you in?

JahBwoy:

Lol depends sha on your location and work environment

I agree that learning German is important for integration but it's not a do or die affair from my experience. My work is fully in English and most residents here understand basic English. I've almost never met anyone here who can't understand English

I guess because my degree and university is already in the anabin database so all I am doing is just the LMA. If i needed to do ZAB approval it would have taken longer. German translation and apostille was not needed for the approval either. The translation was just need for a later stage.

Anthonyedr:
Hi Omabisco, i am in the same position. I was told it will take up to 15 weeks to get the pre approval.

Can u enlighten me on how you managed to do this if you have.

Hello everyone,

My employer is asking for German translation of my degree and Apostille of my Degree for the pre-approval. Has anyone recently done any of this that can guide where to do this?

Thank you

You can try https://www.thehomelike.com/ . I was able to get something reasonable when I used their service way back and you won't need to pay a deposit.

My employer did this on my behalf. All I did was send them certified copies of my transcript and certificate. and a regular copy of my waec

Been able to get someone to translate as my employer is not doing that for me, and they informed me I do not need the Apostille for Nigerian docs.

How long did the pre-approval take for you?

I applied as an entrepreneur, so I submitted my personal bank statement with the actual proof of fund money in it, company bank account with like 400k or less inside then company CAC documents.

oseremenifidon:
Very insightful bro, but would love to know was it only your bank statements you submitted as proof of funds or you added other documents like your company payments slip.
Thanks.

For Germany, you need to have lived in a place for atleast 6months before you can apply for their long stay(student) visa from that country, otherwise you will need to go back to Nigeria to apply from.

oseremenifidon:
Really there are questions people shouldn't be asking here.
It put to question their intellectual capacity as a student. Asking this kind of question is like asking how can I move from delta state to edo state.
Spain is in the schengen region just like Germany so accessing it won't be as difficult as from Nigeria. However, you still need to present your admission letter and block account/SL to the German embassy so they can register your stay in Germany. Please do your little research before asking questions if you are asking this kind of question from Spain, then what do you expect our Nigerian brother's to be asking..

POF: 8m and no that amount wasn't in my account for long, it was put in same week I applied.

POF was in my personal account not a sponsor.

Hello Everyone,

So I got quite a number of requests so I have decided to do a break down of my process for everyone here.

Note things might have changed so you need to check with the authorities involved.

Application and admission

Feb - April 2021 Application to different schools
May 2021 Got admission in Spain, paid €1,500 reservation fee then school sent admission letter (electronic and hard copy), insurance, proof of accomodation (for visa application)

Document gathering for visa application

Processed my transcript, certified true copy of certificate and reference letter from my university. To get the certified true copy I scanned my original certificate to my school, they printed it there and stamped, then included a reference letter stating I graduated from the school. All three documents were sent to the consulate. Do this and ensure the documents arrive the consulate before legalization.

I had state birth certificate so I did affidavit at NPC. I basically didn't even enter, at the security point I told them what I wanted to do, the security said he will call someone for me, which he did, told me how much to pay and he will call me when it's ready which he did

Medicals, used garki general hospital. Well I wanted to actually do check up not just pay for documents. Everything including tests and seeing a doctor cost 15k. Ensure the write the exact complete full sentence stating in line wIth section .....

Ministry of education legalization. I didn't have my WAEC certificate so I had to go to WASC hq gwagwalada to process some sort of declaration which I needed to do affidavit for also did that at Sharia court. There's a baba who sits in front of the court that does it. The people at gwagwalada office will direct you. After gwagwalada I had to go back to MOE to do the legalization there. This whole process took like 3days with Abeg and like 30k.

Ministry of foreign affairs legalization. One woman at MOE directed me to a contact at Foreign affairs. Met the woman outside, gave her the documents, paid like 1k or so (this was the cheapest as the woman didn't add extra money, can't remember exact amount) then picked up next day.

Police report. Got to Force HQ Abuja, they asked me at the gate, told them my purpose. They told me to wait, called one lady that came to the gate to pick me up, went in with her and filled the application and paid the normal amount ( can't remember exactly, either 10k or 12k). She called when it was ready for pickup, also got their automatic text.

Legalization at consulate

While I was preparing my documents, I sent an email to the consulate to confirm they had received my documents from my university and booked an appointment for legalization.

I only legalized university certificate, police report, birth affidavit.

Visa application

I applied for visa same day I collected my legalized document at the consulate. Then you didn't need appointment but I hear you need now for visa application.

I got my visa after a month or so. When I didn't hear from the consulate, I contacted my school and they contacted the consulate. My school informed me that my passport has been ready so I went to pickup.

arriving Barcelona

School helped me get an accomodation (not all schools do this)
Budget like €600 per month for rent, feeding, transportation. This amount is small if you are not a minimalistic person.

You will need to register to get you residence permit. The appointment for this is hard to get, just ask your school to help with this process.

If you are in Barcelona, you can register for free health service. Go to any nearby CAP center with you registration of address which you must have done at your town hall.

Register for a public library card, go to any nearby public library. This card can give you free access to some paid tourist site.

As a student, you are not permitted to work. However you can do internship (if you find) and if your school is willing to give you an internship agreement.

Make friends with people around, attend a church if you are a Christian, you can connect with helpful people there.

I won't be able to answer questions about after studies as I am no longer in Spain.

which bank did you use?

Ketima:

Please run den zenith bank. Did for someone and even after a month, nothing. Had to move it to all these new banks without much customer. Under 3 days, it was done.

Now with this new CBN policy on form A, you may need to visit the bank and see if it hasn't been cancelled.

All the best.

Please how did you legalized your documents (birth certificate, police certificate, medical and your school results) and the cost.

Booked an appointment with the consulate and went there to submit.

My school sent my transcript, letter of reference and certified true copy directly to them before the day I went to submit.

Update:

My school contacted me that my visa was approved, went to pick it up today. On my way to the consulate, I got a call from the legalization lady to come pickup

The visa was issued a week ago but don't know why I wasn't contacted.

God be praised!

We move!

Yes to having enough money.

Well no document was falsified, however my school was closed the entire month of August and said they will follow up with the consulate.

However I did read in this thread someone that had similar case with delay and still got a response.

Whatever the case maybe, there should still be a response, I need my original documents for other purpose.

oseremenifidon:
Hope you had enough money in your account as bank statements.
Its basically falsified documents or insufficient money in the account that causes such delay or denial, well based on what I read though.
I am also preparing to apply for a visa they just started today this booking online for submission, I pray I get date so I can apply for my Visa soonest.
It's clear that so many people are applying to Spanish universities but its either they are not on nairaland or they just choose to be quiet.
I was shocked at the number of persons I saw at the embassy when I went for legalisation.
The dream of Nigerians is truly to leave Nigeria.
