President Donald Trump on Tuesday issued a rare public rebuke of Israel's military tactics in Lebanon targeting Hezbollah militants, saying it ‌was unnecessary to bomb entire apartment buildings to hunt militants.

Trump, who in recent days had expressed his displeasure over Israeli attacks in Beirut that he said could have endangered his peace deal with Iran, said Israel has been fighting Hezbollah, the Iran-aligned Lebanese militia, for "too long".

"Too many people have been killed. You don't have to knock down an apartment house every time you're looking for somebody, because there are a lot of people in those apartment houses, and they're not all Hezbollah," Trump said at the G7 ⁠summit in France.

His complaint comes at a moment of rising tensions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has remained a key political ally despite occasional ups and downs between the two leaders over the years.

Recently, tensions have been more prominent. Israeli officials are quietly expressing frustration about the Iran deal that the Republican president struck while Trump is growing impatient with Netanyahu over Israeli strikes of Beirut, which triggered Iranian attacks just when he was working to finalize the peace deal.

Trump said he has a "great relationship" with Netanyahu but in the same breath added that he should be "more responsible" with Lebanon. "Without us, without the United States, there would be no Israel. Without me, there would be no Israel, because no other president was willing to do what I did."

He's sensing a general trend in the US as opinion about Israel is shifting from positive to extremely negative. The influence of AIPAC and Miriam Adelson is coming clearer, and most Americans are exhausted with the narrative that their taxes are funding social welfare and military excesses of Israel.

Netanhayu allowed his far-right coalition to drive him towards such egregious humanitarian excesses that even staunch supporters of Israel in Europe and the US are pinching their noses in disgust.

It's almost impossible to salvage the image of Israel in Europe and the US now. Except they unleash a massive false flag operation and pin it on the usual suspects: radical islamists.

The stranglehold AIPAC has on US and, especially, their diplomatic posturing seems to be unraveling under Trump. Save for a couple of ardent voices in the parliament, the Trump administration, and indeed the entirety of the US, have grown, as you rightly said, utterly disenchanted with the 51^st state of the US.

The days and weeks ahead would be very interesting given the preliminary activities taking place with respect to this deal.

The deal represents heaven on earth for Iran tbh. The concessions from US are unbelievable. And what's more unbelievable is that these concessions were given in exchange for, wait for it, a return to status quo ante!!

Not mind games. You see that seemingly little leverage Iran has called the strait of Hormuz, it is like a fire ant on the scrotal sac of a Goliath.

The Persians are an extremely stubborn people to deal with, and understandably so. This is a civilization that is thousands of years older than those of their worst adversaries. That should come with some measure of advantages, not withstanding America's scientific superiority. These are people with a lot more years of experience in war compared to Israel, Arabs, and the US combined.

We have a lot to learn from what's happening.

President Donald Trump said ‌on Wednesday that it would be unfair for Iran not to have ballistic missiles if other countries have them.

"I'm saying that ⁠if other countries have them, it's a little bit unfair for them not to have some," Trump told reporters in Paris.

"If Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and they all have some, I would ‌say ⁠in relative proportion, I think it's okay."

Trump also said the United States would leave its military in the ⁠Gulf "for a while" after Washington struck a deal with Tehran to end its ⁠nearly four-month conflict in the region.

I have often said it that you people who attack the government the most over insecurity, especially terrorism and banditry do so not because you care but because it is politically rewarding to do so. Children are in captivity with people being killed daily and this one here, just to validate what the ultra ignorant Gringori said, has told us it is okay to be a bandit or a terrorist as that puts food on people's tables.

God forbid that Gringori or anyone who supports him gets anywhere near the corridors of power. I can't believe the things I've been reading over this issue. Is there ever a time you people sit back and say "let's sit this one out. Obi misfired"?

I watched the interview with Rufai Oseni and I still have a bit of problem with POs elocution.

However, he made very salient points especially on Banditry, No Nigerian leader can totally crush Banditry as it stands today.

It has a very multi-pronged approach including the root-cause and taking a firm position.

Please do you mind telling us the SALIENT points he made? What is it Obi said which already has'nt been said before, which we dont already know, or which isn't been done today or hasnt been done before?
