#FACT!!! |
Hahahahaa..... Co-moderator is not needed. Only a change of attitude of the posters. If the posters are not up to expectation, if you like, post 1 million questions to be discussed and resolved, a dullard still remains one and cannot respond to any question but rather waits for website review to post and attack others (while their portfolios are filled with crappy works). Solution doesn't lie on multiple moderators. It's on the people. |

^^^Correct and I agree generalizing isn't the better say. Although he said "MOST" |
yawa-ti-de:I agree with your points but on another note, people on board from my observations are scared to give answers and be told they are wrong. Nobody wants to tackle a question once it involves his knowledge of coding like PHP, MySQL, and all those Server-side languages. Instead of here, I'm busy getting more reps on Stackexchange and being proud of myself. Gone are those days when codes were posted and counter codes posted to buttress facts. E.g. I last week wanted to test people here with a post. I asked for the difference between intval() and int() in PHP and not a single soul posted even a letter. What do you think about that scenario? |
greenmouse: ask the dude, i think he just lack a topic to post ?He has a point! Don't call him off. He might lack some data of proves but you and I can attest to the reality of his words. |
From observation, this Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) is becoming so rampant. Most of them come in form of shortened URL and most are spread on social mediae like blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Stumble upon, etc. One needs to be careful on what links are clicked because the resultant effects might be so dangerous before you can tell what action you just took. Coders also should take a peep at this and see how to protect their applications from being agents of such attacks. Overview CSRF is an attack which forces an end user to execute unwanted actions on a web application in which he/she is currently authenticated. With a little help of social engineering (like sending a link via email/chat), an attacker may force the users of a web application to execute actions of the attacker's choosing. A successful CSRF exploit can compromise end user data and operation in case of normal user. If the targeted end user is the administrator account, this can compromise the entire web application. See more here: https://www.owasp.org/index.php/Cross-Site_Request_Forgery_(CSRF) |
@OP Count down from 2005 to date how many of such threads have been set up and where they ended. Note: Nigeria designers/developers still lack very much with regards collab projects. Investing into it is like searching the sea for a pin. All is concerned about my own thing and not our own thing. Our is seen as too a waste of time because it's owned by many and glory goes to many not one man. You can term it anything but truth remains, "Collab things as this will end up being drowned." Better thing: Make a pick and personally talk to good developers/designers you'd work with, draw up your agreements, set up all your structures then work on your project until the end. Beware about code hijacks and spreads. One man must want to copy and keep all codes to himself and start off on his own when he decides to drop the group. Shine yah eyes Let your mind lead you on! |
***Gone are the days when men were on |
Is there any particular difference between intval and (int)? Please post your replies with example codes and outputs for validation by others. |
Bandwidth Exceeded! |
yawa-ti-de:I guess they likely couldn't handle some stuffs so decided to use what they could manage with which isn't a nice approach at all. Let's not talk security now or that portal might just get invaded in some moment. You know we have some "angelic hackers" looking for where to do some school assignments. ![]() |
Only in Nigeria can someone force you to use Internet Explorer. Go to http://portal.unn.edu.ng/pg/frm/adm/default.asp on another browser and see. I'm just so shocked! If you know the developers please alert them to call for help with some codes for browser compatibility. Imagine tying your application to one browser in this century. Mehn!!! |
@greenmouse When you get scared of criticism then you leave yourself no room for improvement. BEWARE! |
@spikes_C Nothing do you but just drop your own argument and it surely would be helping someone out there unknown to you ![]() |
Why do people run away from topics like this? Is that they can't defend their profession or they fear one or two questions may arise and they are not able to respond to them? |
Choi... So even the main the main designers that post for reviews often are yet to say at least #notInspired even if they truly are ![]() |
yawa-ti-de:You're on point! I love the CSS insight you gave because many don't know that CSS OOP really helps. Rather than including re-usable styles into an ID styling, you create a re-usable class and that solves your issue. A lot of repeated lines of codes are reduced making for even more faster loading of a web page resources. A fast one for those interested to get this at a snap. ###visibility: visible vs. display: none These two style properties do two different things. visibility: hidden hides the element, but it still takes up space in the layout. It tells the browser: calculate all the width/height/position of this element and his children, but do not paint it. display: none removes the element completely from the document. It does not take up any space, even though the HTML for it is still in the source code. It tells the browser: completely ignore this element and all his children, don't waste time with it. @Yawa-ti-de Thanks for your contributions and insights. Where are the many other programmers in the board that code on PHP, why aren't they talking or have they ignored the thread because it in one way or the other is pointing fingers at them as b*d programmers or n* programmers in the first place |
yawa-ti-de:Talking that koko is the hardest part of it. I was asked for a website redesign and I asked what language I would be working on and they said PHP. When I peeped into the source code of the online version of the website which was proposed to be a PHP website, I felt so sorry for the designer, no, sorry, PHP Programmer. All I noticed were includes. Over 6 DTD declaration of HTML headers inside just 1 page and all having their different styling s well arising from PHP includes. I connected the Programmer and asked him how competent he was in the Language and he said "very very" that all his websites run on PHP but... He never processes his contact form using a simple PHP mail function. He rather uses a formmail inserted script from a 3rd party processing website. Don't dare have errors in his forms else you'll be redirected to the 3rd website from where you can click away if you like. We can call him a PHP Programmer also not so? After all he knows how to include or require pages... I'm yet to different Paul from Barnabas. Until I know who a PHP programmer really is, anyone that designs a web page but has his pages running on a .php extension is a full PHP Programmer. #GBAM! If you say NO, define who a PHP programmer is. |
Does saving your pages with .php extension make you a PHP Programmer ?I really want to understand who a PHP Programmer is so I can know what criteria to use in sieving the chaffs out from the grains. |
Crosses by... *sheds tears after reading for some time*... I wish I could define classy and quality website.... Any helps? |
It's not Windows 8 specific. @Ponana just got the exact thing. Skype uses that Port: 80 and WAMP listens to same port too. That causes the issue of WAMP being offline. Note well that other applications could listen to same port. If you experience same problem after doing that of Skype, just change your Apache port to say 8080 or any Port that hasn't been used by any other installed application. |
greenmouse: @mini, weldone. We are not fighting ok.Now you are talking. And I've not beefs for you other than trying to help you keep your games top. That's the essence of you posting your works and asking us for reviews. Enjoy your new year ![]() |
greenmouse: @omin, @sology, I know wella u have got some beef for mua....?SMH... Imagine the beef. Arrogance!!! You did a bad job, accept it and redo a new job and get your life going. Chikina. Keep crying o after all, you placed your name on the footer as the designer or did you place mine? I think I'll get that thread for the greenmouse: No matter how bad this website is its far better than some of ur websites...@sology and @omni....If only I had your time, I'll be better off teaching kids in primary school to design far better than you. Don't think you stand any close to anything I can do. Take corrections and move on. Or in fact, wait a minute, is it that you designer went on vacation and you did this yourself or that a Trainee did this for you just to save you some time ![]() Abeg make we move on with life jare. Until you don't redo this website then we go know whether your name don change from Greenmouse to . . . ![]() |
Sorry I'm having to start this year's posting with you @greenmouse. I won't go about doing a comprehensive review before you'll hate me more this year. greenmouse: @sology, thanks alot.Don't you think you are being arrogant here? Take words and just do something nice. IMHO, this website is far way below standard. Compare it to other websites you've displayed here. I don't think it has 2 stars even. PLS REDO THE WEBSITE. DON'T BOTHER TRYING TO IMPROVE ON IT. GET A BETTER CONCEPT AND GET A GOOD JOB DONE. |
