Justnation:
You don't need to wait till after the emergence of a candidate simply withdraw from the race and support a younger and nationally accepted candidate now.

You will enhance our democracy and help remove the present evil government
No, he shouldn't. If he does that right now, he would have played his cards way too early. When all major contenders are done with their primaries and convention(s), only then, can he now pick his preferred candidate for the upcoming elections

Funny how those obidients are so fixated on how apc will implode and how tinubu will be betrayed but forget that obi's support base isn't growing, isn't even static but diminishing.....he is even leaking votes in his SE while same tinubu is growing in influence with 35 govs including fct and also has the power of incumbency with him......apc is doing everything to block the loop holes in 23 and growing from strength to strength but obi isn't, his current romance with the likes of atiku,el rufai, malami etc will equally loose him many friends and supporters.
So because I refuse to follow the same path you used, it means I aren't doing what am suppose to do?
Let me remind you, there are many ways to the market and obi is exploring his own way to get to the market. So can you let him be?
PoliticsRe: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by Omowale2023(m): 7:38pm On Mar 30
Osebanjo:
2027 is literally Atikus last chance to chase his long time dream and ambition again. How do you think he’ll actually just forgo that and watch Obi get the ADC ticket. Age is no longer on waziris side and this will probably be his last chance to try again. The major reason he was hellbent on bringing Obi to the ADC was that he believes the repeat of their 2019 PDP presidential ticket can actually unsit PBAT. So I don’t see anyway anyone else can get the ADC ticket.

Even if at all the ticket is eventually zoned down to the south, Amaechi will win Obi in primary. And then if Makonde eventually joins then that will be more trouble.

So as it is right now, the ticket that can give PBAT running nose and sleepless night is the repeat of the 2019 PDP presidential ticket. I don’t see any other ticket troubling the sitting president really. If Obi won’t take the VP slot, it will be his loss at the end because likes of Amaechi and Makinde will gladly take it with gratitude and if Obi decides to go contest under another party, then we’ll just be having a repeat of 2023.

As for Kwankwaso, I think he’s ok with whatever position for now and rightly waiting for North’s time to contest the presidency if not he wouldn’t have move to the ADC.
The 2019 combination can't work in 2027, things, perception, behavior and time has changed. Obi/kwankwanso might not win, but it's a launching pad for 2031, therefore ADC is in the right track with Obi/kwankwanso ticket, in 2031, the reverse will be the case. Can't wait for the 2027 elections

If ADC really want Tinubu out, Let Atiku/Obi Contest in a joint ticket. Support from kwakwaso, el rufai l, malami will go long way. Obi has SE 90% lockdown and South south 65% lockdown whether VP or presidio
Bro. It won't work. The South especially the obidients will vote for Tinubu overwhelmely if ADC gives Atiku or Any northern the ticket, and that will be a disaster for ADC, ADC can't win 2027, if ADC wants to win 2031, They need to field a southern in 2027, and let Nigerians know ADC is a force to reckon with. Anything short of it, ADC will be wasting their time and resources

Dogalmighty17:
He is a clown. Just yesterday he was saying the US doesn't need the strait opened. The day before he said that the strait was already opened. If he tries touching any Iranian power station, I fully expect Iran to target more refineries in the middle east.
Trump will not back down until oil climbs above 160 dpb.

The most powerful weapon in the hands of a toddler is useless. The US actually had a plan to contain Iran long before Trump came into office. His generals sat him down and tried to explain to him why a full on direct attack wouldn't be ideal. Trump sacked them and appointed yes men in their place. Men who will agree with every brain dead idea that comes to his head.

Trump lacks the mental maturity to know that for every action there is a consequence. He has backed himself into a corner in Iran now and is desperate for a way out. The Iranians don't fear threats. Trump has given himself 48 hours. Let him go ahead and strike Iranian electricity plants and see what the Iranians will strike in return.
You talk like a baby.

PoliticsObi's Votes In 2027 Will Determine The Numbers Of Those That Love Nigeria. by Omowale2023(op): 9:39am On Mar 21
If there is anything the 2027 election will expose, it is this: how many Nigerians genuinely care about the future of this country, and how many do not.

During the 2022/2023 campaign, Peter Obi made a blunt, unmistakable promise. He said he would fix Nigeria’s electricity within his first term, by any means necessary. He didn’t stop there. He openly challenged Nigerians: if he succeeded, they should vote for him for second term.

That was not political ambiguity. That was a contract.

Electricity is not a luxury in any serious nation, it is the backbone of economic growth, job creation, security, and basic human dignity. So when a candidate reduces his performance to such a clear benchmark, he removes every excuse. The standard becomes simple: deliver, or leave.

Now the reality is at the back of us. The promise was made loudly. The results are visible to everyone.

So the real question in 2027 is not about campaigns, slogans, or party loyalty. It is about integrity, both of leadership and of the electorate.

If Nigerians knowingly vote for a leader who set his own test and failed it, then we must be honest with ourselves: the problem is no longer just leadership. It is also the willingness of citizens to ignore accountability.

Because at that point, it is no longer about patriotism. It becomes something else entirely, loyalty to individuals, tribes, or interests over the survival and progress of the nation.

A country does not collapse overnight. It erodes when standards are abandoned. It declines when promises carry no consequences. It fails when citizens see the truth and choose to look away.

The 2027 election, therefore, is not just another political cycle. It is a national test.

A test of whether Nigerians are ready to demand results.
A test of whether words still matter.
A test of whether failure still has consequences.
And most importantly, a test of whether we are serious about building a country that works, or comfortable defending one that doesn’t.

No, he didn't, everything is going according to the plan. Even Israel is not worried. So let's all sit back and enjoy the show. People's expectations are off the roof, they(Public) expected a clean sweep, but we the general public are not war experts so we don't know and don't have first-hand information on what's going on. Finally, USA & Israel won't start what dey can't finish, or go to war with someone they can't win. It's totally impossible.

Social media is a leveller. The Iran you people love to hate because of christianity didn't attack source of energy. They bomb theirs first before they react. In fact they have never been the aggressor but only retaliate whatever is done to them.
Some are asking why bombing neighbouring countries, standard of education and quality of thinking isn't impressive here or rather sentiments beclouds sound reasoning.
America can't attack Iran from their country, they need a base near Iran to attack them from and that is where Iran is logically expected to take the fight back to them and their supporters.
Before now, those countries haven't been fair nor neutral to Iran. They always allow the use of their airspace to attack Iran and intercept Iran's missiles passing through their airspace to isreal and they had been warning them long without taking action.
I think Iran's major problem started with occupation and treatment of palestines and the support they gave them and it's geopolitics not religious war. Judaism isn't Christianity by the way and there is no known shia affiliated terrorist organisation. The boko haram, alqaeda, isis etc are all sunni practiced on saudi arabia. The hamas and hezbolla don't go around the world bombing or killing people but to resist isreal regime.
Attribute of a good person is to be fair in dealing. You don't need to like someone to stand by truth. This unrighteous fellow is not a good human. He is wasting his time. God cannot be fooled or patronised.
I totally disagree with you. Is it UAE or Israel that bomb their gas line?

You have been kept in a box by the USA and Israelis. We are not talking about the plans to make hotdogs that you probably could do and assume USA🇺🇸 can do.

Enumerate the USA🇺🇸 plan? The executive government of USA🇺🇸 could not even clarify or properly communicate their war plans to the USA senators.

That is the height of irresponsibility on the part of the executive government of USA🇺🇸.
Sir. The reason why the senators are agitated is because they thought things will be the same as of Venezuela, but reality said otherwise, however, USA and Israel are highly prepared for this scenario, Israel & USA won't go tho War if they haven't thought of a way to win it from the beginning, we are watching a seasonal film, we have watched season 1, we are waiting for the release of season 2

Foreign AffairsRe: US Senators Slam Iran War After Classified Briefing by Omowale2023(m): 8:19am On Mar 11
EponObi:
You don't even need any briefing to know that the USA went to the war without any plan.

As an outsider, if you have sense, you can see this.

The only plan they had was to use the same system they executed in Venezuela - take out Khamenei, and think the entire regime will collapse and fall in line or run away with their tails between their legs. Dey play!

Mind you, these two nations have supreme intelligence agencies like CIA, Mossad and have been gathering and sharing intelligence for decades, with billions of dollars in yearly funding.

Anyone with basic knowledge of geopolitics knows that the Iranian government is decentralized - you can't break them like Libya or Venezuela. It didn't even feel like the US assassinated their supreme leader. Counter assaults went into overdrive immediately without him.

Now the US has replaced him with a die-hard son who is not diplomatic like his father. He has canceled all standing nuclear weapons agreements already. Everything. He has declared Iran has a fundamental right to nuclear weapons and they going to get them. Decades of agreements torn to pieces in a day.

People don't even know the late Ali Khamenei issued a fattwa against making a nuclear weapon. Iran would have made it a long time ago - they have the technology. He also capped the range of their missiles to 2000 km, when their scientists insisted they have the capability of going farther. This is the same person Trump lied wanted to destroy America. The Islamic regime existed only to protect the sovereignty of Iran against the West and most especially Israel.

For those fan of Israel and Trump on this forum who thinks the US will win this war, you are sleeping. I don't think you can find a nation with citizens who are hardcore nationalists like Iran. Those guys would rather die than allow Trump dopple the regime or impose a leader on them.

And if the US and Israel won't launch ground invasion, they are only wasting their time. Nothing else will make regime change happen. If they invade, it will end in absolute disgrace for them.

Kill Mojtaba Khamenei today, there are more people waiting in line to replace him.

Trump and Netanyahu are going to learn. They finally met a match to their craze. Don't play!
How na, you think USA is Nigeria that does things without proper planning?
Please, stop deceiving yourself. They are ahead of schedule, they have a plan, and they are executing it with wonderful precision, so all these things you are saying are NOISE to the ears. Were you aware when they kidnapped the President of Venezuela?
Where you aware when they dealt with the Iran supreme leader? So everything is going according to plan. The same senators are complaining about IRAN, but they didn't complain when Trump captured Venezuela's president in 2 hours or less and recovered all the money spent for the capture in less than 2 months.

Foreign AffairsRe: Breaking: Iran Blows Up Bahrain’s Biggest Petrol Refinery Spiking Prices. by Omowale2023(m): 8:44am On Mar 06
Gjrich:
A missile strike attributed to Iran has hit a major oil facility in Bahrain, triggering a large explosion and fire at the country’s largest petroleum refinery.

Footage circulating online shows a huge fireball erupting at the main refinery operated by Bahrain Petroleum Company in the industrial area of Ma’ameer following what officials described as a ballistic missile strike.

Authorities confirmed that a facility in the oil infrastructure zone had been targeted. “One facility in Ma’ameer was targeted, and the relevant authorities are handling the incident,” the Bahrain Ministry of Interior said in a statement shared on social media.

Officials later confirmed that emergency services were able to bring the blaze under control. “The fire that broke out in one of the facilities in Ma’ameer, which was targeted by the Iranian aggression, has been brought under control. Limited material damage was reported, with no loss of life,” the ministry said.

The refinery is located in one of Bahrain’s key industrial zones, which hosts several facilities producing petroleum products and industrial materials such as concrete and asphalt.

The incident marks another escalation in attacks on oil infrastructure across the Gulf region, which analysts say could have wider implications for global energy markets.
Military experts say the strike may also be linked to Bahrain’s close strategic relationship with the United States, which maintains strong security and defence ties with the Gulf kingdom.
This doesn't make any sense.
Is Iran at war with Bahrain?
And some foolish Nigerians are supporting this rubbish IRAN. Truly, education doesn't mean enlightenment. God help us.

A dramatic escalation is unfolding in the South Caucasus after drones reportedly launched from Iran struck targets in Nakhchivan, an exclave of Azerbaijan, damaging the airport terminal and injuring civilians. The attack has sparked outrage in Baku, with the government summoning Iran’s ambassador and warning that retaliation may follow. Analysts say the strike signals a dangerous expansion of the ongoing Iran-centered conflict into the Caucasus, raising fears that more regional powers could be drawn into the widening war.
