Go through this thread I never insulted his state until the boy b2mario arrived with his madness. But I want to assure him that he has met his match today. I will suggest that each state have their own thread so that everybody should mind their business. My mom and dad are all from Anambra and my wife is equally from Anambra. What does that mean to you? presher: bro criticism is a good thing, but i know they have scores to settle with u ,am from ajalli in anambra state but my paternal cousins are from ujari in abia state where i trace my origin to.if i insult abia state i am insulting my self,we are all brothers, udo |

I have been to Aba recently at least in the last 3 weeks en route to Akwa-Ibom. Take it from a brother, Aba is a disaster to say the least. If it were before I would have created a thread out it but I choose not to to save Abia people from that embarrassment. There is no government presence in Aba not state, not federal. I can't wish my enemy what I saw in Aba. It is worth crying for. B2mario: All these things you are saying are what your heard on Nairaland. Who said that Aba does not have a single motorable road?
Hmmmm, I'm laughing oo |

No amount of feel good comment can change the facts on the ground. Accept it or leave it Aba is a disaster. I am yet to see anywhere that can be compared to Aba in terms of bad roads, dirty environment, water-logged neighborhoods, mosquitos etc. I have my reasons when I call Aba a 'hellfire'. Am sorry but I have to be blunt. Onitsha on the other hand is the gateway city to the East with mall, 5 star Raddison Blu hospitality center, Port facility, largest trading center in West Africa with the highest cashflow in the SE. Stop talking about Aba because it is a rural area. There is no good place in Aba, the town is completely submerged in dirty water and dirty environment. There is no single motorable road in Aba. Aba reprsent everything that is bad. Stop trying to make yourself feel good because I will be here to put it to you exactly the way it is.. [s] B2mario: Child have you gone to Aba before? if Onitsha is having the problem of untarred roads then believe me that Onitsha is worse than Aba, the problem of Aba is that it has grown beyond it's initial masterplan and needs another drainage system. I was in Onitsha last Friday and I'm telling you the truth, Onitsha is turning more archaic day after day. The city does not have a good look, a good masterplan like it's Aba counterpart, the roads there are narrow and are not wide like the Aba roads.
I can't deny that Onitsha has 2 overhead bridges popularly known as flyover while Aba has none.
Travel and see things by yourself, stop acting on heresy. If you can be proud to tell people on this forum that Onitsha is organised and neat then believe me that Aba is a London. Beside all of us are igbos i can't lie against any igbo city, Aba and Onitsha are being neglected but Aba still has some good places than Onitsha. And also bear in mind that despite the present condition of the 2 cities they are still better than many Nigeria cities and town. [/s] |

You are an ediot. the mofo called Okorosha is a clown and an under-performer who borrowed over 200billion and shared it out to his northern cousins while his state Imo rots away. Okorosha is the real enemy of Ndi Igbo and Imo state particularly. Abagworo: I am not surprised as this man has fallen out with Obi who happens to be one of the worst enemies of Ndigbo. |

Yes Anambra is leading in all facets of development. Do you have a problem with that? You know what I will keep doing here is to make sure that your madness is checked. Aba is a very big slum and eyesore so its an insult writing it on the same paper with Onitsha. Do you know that there is no single motorable road in Aba? Do you know that people eat on gargabe dumps in Aba? Do you know that the whole of Aba is a disaster? Go and fix your state before you can come and talk with us. A thread has been created for you but you have not been able to post one picture there..what a shame. B2mario: Haaa, here he goes again with those annoying post. Stop you are not making sense at all. Who does to Imo state to buy estate? Mention one known Igbo man living in Imo state? Just one.. FYI: Anambra houses the largest number of resident millionnaires in the SE both indigenes and non indigenes. Its a fact! Abagworo: In truth Anambra is the biggest economy in the Southeast. However we must not all be the biggest economy at the same time. Every Southeast State has a contribution in Igboland. Enugu, Imo and Ebonyi are highly agrarian while Anambra and Abia are commerce and industry driven. Imo and Enugu have an edge over Ebonyi in that they also double as tourist destination or choice areas for millionaires to buy up estates.
Anambra people especially from the Nnewi area decided to site their industries home and have done everything through self help. The Igbo spirit has its capital at Nnewi before Abiriba and Nkwerre. |

Though is a stat from your an.us but we don hear but it does not stop 1/4th of your state population from trooping to Anambra to live and earn their living. Ikengawo: Enugu and Abia are the biggest economies in the SE. Anambra is the loudest economy in the SE |

Get it into your head, we have nothing in common with your people. So stop forcing yourself on us by posting that picture. We are not the same people. Anambra today is thrice more developed than your state Imo..so what is your point? Abagworo: You know my problem is more with you, Peter Obi and others who connived to kill Igbos and under develop Anambra. Obiano is a wiser man and you can see he has said the truth and refused to sell his soul like Obi.

I have warned you to take your madness away from this thread. You cannot dethrone whom GOD have made king by your mere tantrum. Onitsha is a lot clean, decent and more organized than Aba 10 times. Its an insult to write Aba on the same sentence with Onitsha. Awka is getting world class infrastructural make-over that will not only stand it out but it will be a model for other cities across Nigeria. I know how pained you are that Anambra is leading. And we shall continue to lead in all facets of development. Anambra is the most developed state in the SE you can live with that.. Abagworo: I'm too big for the sort of rubbish you try to associate with me. Anambra and Abia have same problem except that Anambra tries to hide theirs online. Onitsha is a dirty slum with 4 storey buildings like Aba. The same way you have industry and commerce based economy, so is it for Abia. The same way Orji treated Abia, so did Obi. The same way industries and shopping malls are being built in Anambra so is it in Abia. Umuahia is more developed than Awka though.
Obiano looks ready to face reality and tackle issues and I wish Abia gets a Governor ready to face reality too. I am from Imo State as most people already know and I am simply writing the truth. |

Nwanne, bother yourself no more. As for bike it is already banned, we are just waiting for the announcement soonest by Obiano. Obiano appears decisive and resolute in his actions which is what we exactly need. They can still operate in the rural areas just like I have seen them operating at the rural areas of Rivers and Abuja. cjrane: Bro, Stop that way of thinking. The same type of argument i heard in 1998 from land-line telephone dealers in Main market Onitsha that if the foreign South African MTN company was allowed into Nigeria, it will kill the phone market and cause a coup against Abacha as people will easily call abroad without the Nitel switch board and plot coup without their conversation being monitored. Today, more people earn their living via recharge cards and selling cell phones than in the past.
The same type of propaganda and mentality was used against the Oba-Onitsha airport. Which was killed because we thought that an airport close to Onitsha will ruin the luxury bus business to Lagos etc. Again, has the presence of Asaba airport stopped people from using luxury buses to Lagos? Anambra must progress and cannot be held back by the interest and propaganda of a few.
I hope you remember that INNOSON was a motorcycle parts dealer before he upgraded. Imagine if he had your mentality and decided never to upgrade. Even Abia State taunted to be the worst governed state in the SE had enough compassion for the safety of her people to ban motorcycle use for mass transit. Anambra must consider the interest of the generality of her citizens over the interest of a few merchant traders still importing motorcycles from Vietnam and supporting their activities with propaganda. |
Politics › Re: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by oneeast: 2:05pm On Dec 07, 2014 |
Stop that mentality abeg. Bike must go. I am happy that a step has been taken to totally remove bikes at least from our major cities. They can operate in the rural areas that is okay for now but not in the urban centers. Most of Nnewi business men are already moving away from bike importation to Keke. The introduction of city cab is the way to go, you are not wiser than the people that took that decision. It is a welcome development. investnow2013: @Cyrane, Do you know how many people in Nnewi alone selling Motor cycles & it's components?. It is over 1 Hundred Thousand!. How about Awka?, Ihiala, Nkpor,Onitsha etc. They are many!.Okay! Motor cycle Industries at Nnewi employ thousands of people!. How about the numbers of Okada riders in the Whole of Anambra-State!

On the introduction of Operation Clean & Healthy Anambra, codenamed OCHA Brigade, Governor Obiano explained that it is “an Enforcement Unit with a mandate to facilitate improvement in our quality of life by enforcing environmental cleanliness, healthy living habits, good hygiene and general orderliness in the state. According to him, “the mission of OCHA Brigade is to enforce cleanliness and orderliness as a culture among the residents of Anambra State; with the aim to become the task force most known for enforcing a clean, orderly and healthy environment in Nigeria. This initiative will be championed by 200 youths drafted from various ministries in the state who have been properly trained and equipped for this assignment.” OCHA Brigade is a merger of the Enforcement Units of the Ministries of Health, Environment, Board of Internal Revenue Services, ASUDEB/ ACDA, the advertisement agency and ASWAMA. It represents a new enforcement model with inter-ministerial and inter-agency relationships that present an opportunity for the state to efficiently and effectively enforce discipline, orderliness, cleanliness and an excellent tax payment structure. “

Nwanne forget the issue of bikes..it is a forgone conclusion. I saw a document to that effect. Part of the steps by Obiano to conclusively ban bikes is floating of the city cab, which he has already done. You will hear the announcement on the ban soon. He knows that he has to provide alternative before outright ban more especially in our urban centers. cjrane: We shall pass this primitive use of motorcycles as a mass transit tool. it's only a question of time.

I can't sit down and swallow falsehood and misinformation. That is me for you.
