This is another brand new road connecting Amichi, Akwaihedi and Osumenyi..and this is the same way other parts of the state is receiving the same attention. I knew what villagers will be suffering now if this road was not done or the money used in painting of a particular road somewhere in the city..

Get your priorities right, that is what is called development..

If there are no access roads to Osumenyi your village, IK your town's man will not have access to build this mansion in Osumenyi his villa just like so many others..though he constructed the street that led to his house which he named after his name (see pix). But he couldn't have achieved it if the major access way was not done by the government.

What you fail to understand is that Anambra is not building one city or town or neighborhood to the detriment of another just like you see in some other states, if not this road at Osumenyi your village will not be standing today..

We are developing all parts, all sectors etc, at the same time. That is what is call genuine and sustainable development in the real sense of it..

Oga chino, it won't cost anambra state anything to construct and reconstruct all the roads at fegge, odakpu and environs, the roads at inland town are equally in Good condition but I don't know what they may look like in the next 3 yrs, we need to construct them all at once.

I never said that all the roads has been constructed but we are on the right track to making Anambra the number ONE in the country..

So Obosi is no longer Onitsha? But when you people start your normal propaganda work everywhere even Ogidi will turn to onitsha?

But even if we are talking of Onitsha proper, streets at fegge and odakpu need attention especially those ones that connects main market. Abi na when 40ft container go fall kill person, una go act ?

Obosi is not Onitsha but near Onitsha..same goes to other adjoining towns that are trying to form part of greater Onitsha city..

Onitsha has expanded to Ogbunike, Oba, Ogbaru, Nkpor, Ogidi, Nsugbe, etc..and it keeps expanding. All those areas are not Onitsha but government has continued to give them same good treatment as regards infrastructure.

It was because of Obosi and other adjoining towns to Onitsha that this flyover below was constructed. Are you aware?

Onitsha needs serious attention via road constructions, can't you see all the places I mentioned above? Some of them are yet to see even 1inch of coaltar. Have u been to odume layout(Obosi)? Solid structures of 5 storey buildings are in their hundreds yet they don't have good roads

Development is a continuum and so far Obiano is on the right track..

What you said about Onitsha roads is not true. Onitsha roads has improved so much..though Obiano need to complete the ongoing ones and initiate more..

One thing I noticed at the moment is that Anambra as a whole is a huge construction site, everywhere is seeing one project or the other going on..

Anambra state needs to fast track their development cos I was disappointed I all that I hear and saw, the population is seriously growing via nsugbe, nkwelle and 3-3 axis, new buildings are coming up yet there is no Good road. People over there are living on God's will.

Roads at fegge are falling off and since last 12 years only few have been rebuilt or built by government,
New layouts like Odume(Obosi) and some other ones at Nsugbe and Nkwelle don't even have a single tarred road even the entrance, roads in Omagba are in bad condition, I like what peter obi did at odekpe,
But in total, Onitsha and environs need a total rehabilitation.

Even the roads that leads to main market(okwei & kano). The road was started by peter obi but was abandoned by obiano. Even bicycle can't pass that road due to it sorry state, and the road is a very strategic one.


Obiano is trying but he should buckle up cos other states don dey leave us waka oh

The same 3-3 road as you are approaching Onitsha from Otuocha..

The volume of vehicular traffic on that road is equal to the one on the express..because that same route takes you to Nsukka and Kogi state..

Dualization of the road at least to the airport is on point..

The pedestrian bridge are three in number being constructed in Onitsha. This particular one is at Uga junction by the Drug Mart.

Even in the dead of night that road is filled with vehicles heading to Onitsha..

Obiano had a vision for dualizing it..

From the write up the airport project will be completed in 18 months. The advisory committee has just been set up led by Stella Oduah. I am very sure on that project because it is very key to the full blast of Orient Petroleum because their aviation fuel commercialization and other by-products of the refinery. We are not talking about the business community and Anambra flyers who are top on the air users. I foresee the airport to be the busiest in Nigeria after Abuja and Lagos and maybe PH..

As for the dualisation of 3-3 to the airport site it is very necessary because of the volume of vehicular traffic on that 3-3-Otuocha Aguleri road..

Now see below the 3-3 Onitsha axis. See the level of traffic compare it to when the airport is completed and level of traffic expected..

What about the dual carriage way? If company like IDC handles that dual carriage way, its going to take them 6 yrs to complete.

This is the one did by Inter Bau in Anambra..equally a home grown construction company. The owner is from Anambra..

Now look at what IDC is doing in Onitsha. This pedestrian bridge is being handled by them. Can you see how solid the project is?

IDC is a mixture of foreign and local blend. They are equally good..

I am very much aware that CCC, CCECC and Reynold are some of forigne contractors in Anambra. Inter Bau and IDC are some of the local contractors wbeing used also in the state. CCC has its office at Onitsha road towards Oba, they are still very active in the state..

Yes... Obiano is trying and doing a wonderful job when it comes to sanitation.
They sweep the road everyday(not only that road).
The aswama people work everyday just to help clear the road of mess and pack out people's dustbin, this is a feat that has not been achieved by any government since I was born, though with what I am seeing obiano will step up in sanitation any moment from now.

But that IDC company dem no dey try, a different company was assigned to do the finishing touch at old road-nkpor flyover, that segment of road infront of zik's mausoleum.

CCC company use to handle all the road projects in anambra but now its IDC which is very bad on the part of Ansg.

He didn't say that the project was starting immediately but an advisory committee that will see to the airport being delivered in 18-22months max. Read below..

The government of Anambra state has inaugurated the Anambra State Airport Advisory Committee to deliver the Anambra cargo/passenger airport within 18 months. While inaugurating the committee, Chief Willie Obiano noted that the committee will provide advisory support on the development and project implementation of the planned Anambra State cargo/passenger airport; review Expressions of Interest (EOI) by private sector parties desirous of investing in the airport project and select the most qualified to work with the state government in setting up and operating the airport.

Furthermore, the committee is to modify the technical architecture , business plan, and recognize those parts of the master plan that cannot be altered; also advise the government of Anambra state on the best options available on the airport project in terms of financing (Private Public Partnership), airport usage. Members of the committee include, Chief (Mrs.) Stella Oduah (chairman), Engr. Nnaemeka Nwawka, Mr. Chuma Mbonu, Arc. Callistus Ilozumba, Mr. Mark Okoye, Mr. Mac Atasie, Mr. Martin Emeka Nwafor, Engr. Ifeanyi Ozorka and Engr. Sylvester Onuorah.

In his vote of thanks, Engr Emeka Nwawka the MD of Orient Petroleum noted that the team has accepted the challenge with pleasure and assured that the cargo/passenger airport will be one of the best in the country. He also congratulated the governor on the strides in setting up various arms of the vision and mission of the administration. He also added that the airport will aid oil and gas, commerce, medical evacuation, agriculture and industries. Also, he revealed that the airport will have a standard modern shopping plaza such that business men and women can transact their businesses.
