The people in government don't care about the population. If they did, policy that would both help the country and not impoverish the people through the reduction in purchasing power would have been sought. I mean, which normal thinking person would want to reduce the purchasing power of an already poor population? It wasn't IMF or World Bank speaking then, it was the Bola Ahmed. If I would say it, the government is both dullard and also callously dullardic. Some people say they are hellbent on destroying Nigeria. They are hellbent on killing Nigerians, that's for sure. If NPC was working properly, the statistics on the number of deaths this year alone would make a person ask, 'is catastrophic war ongoing in Nigeria?' |
Quelme:There's only one terrorist: Hamas. Israel is the medicine to terrorists. |
Olatunji1929:Who starts the fight? Hamas, terrorists, Muslims. And guess what? Israel had made its promise to see the end of the enemies who seek their hurt. Stop hurting Israel, stop hurting Jews, stop hurting Christians, stop hurting Hindu folks, and your hundreds of the palestinians would still be alive. |
iykofias:About 60% of West Bank is administered by Israel. Israeli civilians ply by the roads there to their farm locations, settlements, etcetera. About the remainder 40% admin'ed by Palestine. So Israelis could often go ahead with their civilian businesses there. But what is wrong is Hamas terrorists harming these people. And yes, IDF immediately sent the culprits to deathpit. |
TemplarLandry:And its followers never admit it but follow their book filled with "death against", "death against" blindly. The allure of their cooked up paradise inhibit their humanity. |
And they say "Israel, withdraw the IDF from West Bank", "Israel, withdraw the IDF from Gaza". |
At least eight people were wounded, three of them seriously, when a Hamas terrorist opened fire at a civilian bus near the West Bank settlement of Ariel on Friday. The assailant was shot dead by security forces. According to the Magen David Adom ambulance service, four people were hit by gunfire, including three in serious condition and one in moderate condition. Another four people were lightly wounded by broken glass, MDA said. The military said that four of the wounded were soldiers and all were lightly injured. Hebrew media outlets reported that one of those seriously wounded in the attack was the bus driver, Hassan Elsachen. The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, claimed responsibility for the shooting, naming the gunman as Samir Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, 46, from the village of Einabus near Nablus. Hussein was a member of the Brigades, Hamas said. The IDF believes the terrorist did not act alone, and that other accomplices may have provided the M-16 assault rifle and vehicle with which he carried out the attack. However, a military source said the army had ruled out the possibility of a second terrorist after scanning the area around the Gitai Avisar Junction, where the attack took place. According to an initial IDF probe, Hussein had set out from the Nablus area, driving from the Tapuah Junction to Gitai Avisar — a route with no internal checkpoints. Hussein stopped his car on the side of the road, about 150 meters away from a bus stop, and opened fire at the bus while approaching it on foot, the army said. IDF troops stationed in the area returned fire, killing him shortly after the attack began, according to the probe. The West Bank, which is controlled by Israeli security forces, has seen a sharp rise in violence since the Gaza war began on October 7, 2023, when thousands of Hamas-led terrorists stormed southern Israel to kill some 1,200 people and take 251 hostages. The onslaught was followed by sharp restrictions on Palestinian movement in the West Bank and wide-scale counterterrorism operations there. On Wednesday, the Shin Bet said it thwarted an arms shipment to the West Bank by Iran, Hamas’s benefactor. Since the Hamas onslaught, Israeli troops have arrested some 5,250 wanted Palestinians across the West Bank, including more than 2,050 affiliated with Hamas. According to the Palestinian Authority health ministry, more than 716 West Bank Palestinians have been killed in that time. The IDF says the vast majority of them were gunmen killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops or terrorists carrying out attacks. During the same period, 41 people, including Israeli security personnel, have been killed in terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank. Another six members of the security forces were killed in clashes with terror operatives in the West Bank. Frigga13:It is people like you that are debarring the progress of Nigeria. What does that even mean? Yoruba this, Yoruba that? Speak to where issue is and quit making malice and spreading false information about an entire 50m peoples. What you are doing here is a symptom of mental retardation. Get rid of it! |
This isn't new. Corruption in Nigeria, state capture by totalitarian gangs cum government (previously miliary captured). There's nothing new here. To get real and fundamental changes for the country, collective actions, speaking with one voice and lobbying through the senate and house may just be it. Not necessarily protests and critize-then-sleep, but through actions and collectively 'disturbing' the lawmakers (senate and house). |
ednut1:Lol. Yeah, e no dey work. |
ednut1:Well, you're correct, and I'm also quite correct. If lots of tribes had posed a united front, they could have launched offensive together, or at least, very strong defensive. Imagine, small Benin, only them. In southwest too, of all the many tribes in the Yoruba ethnicity, it was only Ijebu and Awori that threw up a fight. Imagine if they all were together, all of them. Imagine if the greeeaaat Oyo had joined them. Imagine if Mali had quitted its jihad and joined them. Imagine if all those tribes in each ethnicity had united to fight! And 300 years prior, the Portuguese. Yes. I'm not going to speak for the charm inventors of old, but undoubtedly, they must have been workers for powerful men, e.g. kings who wielded the Portuguese gun. So, that gun could have been a threat to them personally or their employers must have been out of question. And, also, too, the charm inventors, and even till date hardly unite in terms of knowledge sharing with one another, potentially inhibiting their "charm" growth, one could say. And, 300 years? Come on! 300 years is too little to work effective charms out as it is usually often a continuum passed from a charm inventor and to his apprentice and to his apprentice and to his apprentice, and like that before comprehensive effectiveness. Lastly, you're correct, but I must say that I believe situations were not very straightforward for them in the old with the colonialist Britons and we need to cut their cultural systems, beliefs, etc. some slack. |
Gaskia:Exactly, occupational hazard.👍 Though avoidable, so I call it workplace hazard with a quote. |
ednut1:Hmm, not factually correct. Bulletproof charms came to be worked on only after the white men came. Meaning, they didn't exactly have charm for bulletproof prior. The white men later necessitated it for them. And a little of history, e.g. Benin fought and conquered white men in first battles. Awori/Lagos/Badagry also fought and conquered white men in battles. At least, southern Nigeria lost, not due to lack of charms or tools, but due to lack of posing a unified front. |
"Workplace" hazard. |
ReubenE:If the baby notices something may be on his head, and then gets curious, it stops. And that's because the curiosity interrupts the part of the brain that processes the hiccups. This is rather non-related scenario, but take that a human was all smiles and joyous, then all of a sudden hears a loud bang, every atom of joy-give that the person was having would stop and would be filled with rather only fear and flight. So, it's all about the distraction the wool causes for them, not like it is medicinal (biology/cell related) itself. |
dontrulee:You know, what you wrote here, that's really rude and out of place. You need to be wiser. |
Natbrowny:Wool is very realistic. It's hard-headed persons whose ways are not pure that it often doesn't work for. |
The paediatricians seem to be ignorant then. Wool being placed on the head is not scientific, or let me say, biology really related, but more of the mechanics of the brain. Whereby, "what is this on my head?" curiosity interferes with the part of the brain that coordinates the hiccups. The interference then puts the curiosity first and the hiccup stops. It's more mechanical. For it to work, the hiccupee needs to not exactly know prior what's on their head. Or at least, trick their brain that they aren't unaware, signalling the brain part for curiosity, and so on that the hiccup stops. Wool on head, or any other curiosity begging item placed on head would work for a curious person, but won't work if you're hard-headed. I even do it for my own self by tricking my brain that I didn't know if a thing's on my head. Those paediatricians must be hard-headed. ![]() This is rather non-related scenario, but take that a human was all smiles and joyous, then all of a sudden hears a loud bang, every atom of joy-give that the person was having would stop and would be filled with rather only fear and flight. Lol. UK is very nice to Muslims. Coming from a Muslim MP though, Tahir Ali, Muslims say that Christians' Jesus is not the son of god, and call him prophet instead. What should be the punishment on him and his Muslims peers for such blasphemy, desecrating the very foundation of Christianity?! This is very lol. Europe & closeness to self destruction, 5&6. |
owobokiri:Please tell them. |
misreal:Check those who say that. You'd find that it is the terrorists and their sympathizers whose value is deceit, and but deceit. Who started oct 7? Who started the 90's Arab war against Israel? |
The Shin Bet security agency reveals it recently foiled an attempt by Iran to smuggle large amounts of advanced weapons, including rockets, to terror operatives in the West Bank to be used in attacks on Israeli targets. In a joint operation, the Shin Bet and Israel Defense Forces captured a shipment of advanced weapons that the agency says were destined for terror operatives in the Jenin area. Later, a site where a large number of weapons from Iran had been buried was uncovered, the Shin Bet says. The Shin Bet does not provide further details on where the weapons were hidden or where the shipment was captured. Among the weapons captured were 40 “quality” Claymore-type explosive devices and 33 makeshift Claymores, along with remote detonation systems; six RPG launchers and 24 RPGs; three 107mm rockets; two 60mm mortar launchers and 20 mortars; six M16 assault rifles and one M4 rifle; seven sniper rifles; and 37 handguns. According to the Shin Bet, two Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps’ special forces units were responsible for the plot. Unit 4000 is the special operations division of the IRGC’s Intelligence Organization, headed by Jawad Ghafari; Unit 18840 is the special operations unit of the IRGC’s Quds Force in Syria, which is subordinate to the head of Iran’s clandestine Unit 840, Asghar Bakri. The Shin Bet says it has identified renewed attempts to smuggle advanced weapons into the West Bank in recent months. “The seized weapons are part of an ongoing Iranian campaign to destabilize security in the region, by arming terror cells in Judea and Samaria, whose goal is to carry out attacks against Israeli citizens and IDF forces,” the agency adds. What this means is that "don't eat made-in-Nigeria wheat product again". Oh dear. If a person wants wheat, they should get undiluted, unadulterated whole wheat. If a person wants cassava, they should get cassava. And now, passing a bill to force residents to eat abomination? Oh dear, what a people and congregation of senators. |
Svoboda: If Hamas has been crippled and so on, why has the idf found and rescued the remaining hostages?Hamas has been crippled doesn't mean all of them are dead. It's more of tactics, I'd say. The speed at which Hamas may be able to regroup and to launch attack to the extent of kidnapping Israelis again has been reduced because their chance to regroup fast is no longer there. Even see how reluctant some prospective leaders of Hezbollah were in accepting the position following the pager blast. No leader, no coordination, etc. Their logistics (tunnels) that they built for more than 13 years got destroyed. Safely, one could say that Israel has got 13 years of "peace" ahead. Now, on rescuing the hostages. Should IDF press on aggressively, they may just as well endanger the hostages. I believe they are being tactical while also keeping in mind the other achievements towards the peace of Israel that the war may afford them. For Iran, it's influence in that region is suffocating. it's proxies aren't only limited to Hezbollahs and Hamas. It's well spread even to Iraq, Syria and Yemen. The phobia Israel has for Iran is real and potent.Yes, of course, but they are not a potent threat, yet. Because they are highly sanctioned leading that their access to resources to build weaponry's aren't there. Israel also has quite significant intelligence about, that they may be able to kill a threat building up against them from those axes fast. Israel alone has lost over 800 soldiers in the 1+ year war. That's a lot for them. (Sarcastically speaking, Benue state Nigeria alone has lost over 13000 farming folks from Fulani herdsmen). In wars like the one Israel is fighting, people die, unfortunately, but I have no doubt that they are also doing their best to reduce the number of casualties while strategically assigning their small number of servicemen across the 7 fronts they are fighting at. |
Svoboda:It may have, but the war has greatly crippled Hamas, destroyed their evil formation, also reduced Iran's capabilities at an extent Israel had probably never had done before. So is Netanyahu's own individual political career and foreigners' perception of him worth the sacrifice? Yes, it is. That's the path great selfless leaders are often willing to take. Israelis are lucky, at this point in their history, to have him as their leader. |
Hotspurs:Shush your mouth, you're a fake historian. Lots of Jewish individuals got escape out of Germany, Poland, etc. to America, and they helped the passage out for a lot of Jews too once they were out. They lobbied the influence of even Nazi Germans (hated or loved Hitler, they were all Nazis then) to help get Jews out. They didn't go back to their land by pleading with any. They had great leaders, military leaders, reached resolutions with the trespassers (Arabs), in which they failed to honor anyways and waged war against Israel instead. Bottomline, a great number of Jews escaped out of Nazi Germany, there were business persons among them, they went to America, they went out of reach of Nazi, and directly helped others, and importantly, used their influence to lobby those countries, including the US because of course, Jews are cooperative and love alliance, not violence and destruction, to put a stop to Hitler the maniac. |
werisetogether:Does Nigeria need to dump the colonial legacies? If Nigeria does, what would be the fallback? Nigeria is multi-ethnic and with large distrust/cultural disparity. |
The French assimilation was terrible to them. They are emancipating. |
Goodmarlian:The problem is that there is a nation following the instructions passed down to them by their fathers to be for YHWH and YHWH only. They were a small people and like every ancient kingdoms, they faced challenges and that was it. That's Israel. Then one day came a guy who said that Israel people are terrible because they edited their holy book. And then said, because of that they should be murdered by Muslims, and their god would give them highest level in their orgy-based paradise. And not only that, told them their ultimate goal in the religion is to covet and to take over Jerusalem (Jerusalem the capital of the Jewish people) as they did take over Mecca (the site of previous pagans). That guy was Mohammed, the hero of the Arabs and owner of Islam religion. The UN and the protesters in UK say it is for Palestine. No, that's not their reason for aggression towards Israel and every Jew, but for their jihad and covetousness of Jerusalem. How has Israel survived them over these years, over 1400 years now despite their huge number compared to Israel's own small number? Of course, it could only be by Gd. |
Botragelad:It isn't even a game. Murder is both sin and gross violation of fundamental human right of right to life. At one side, there are murderers and sinful creatures whose unholiness is a heaven in their heads. And the at the good side is Israel, enacting justice. Enacting justice is heavy duty, thus all lovers of good should say "more strength and power to Israel." Cause how can a person be, and then he is murdered just because he is Jewish? That's not a war, that's hatred and evil. |
Watcharena:@Watcharena, I'm not a politician, neither do I give a hoot about wars, but one thing is clear, Jewish people, even before current Islamists got their own hot, were often hated, and not because of what they did, but just because they were born Jewish, and that's what I'm about. Everybody knows Iran is not against Israel only because of land, but deeply mostly of religion. So historically, for such ages, Jewish people are strong. Oh, and Iranian scientists? Targeted because directly contributing to the war against state of Israel. And this rabbi, how is he directly related to the war? But, but because he is Jewish. |
It's unfortunate that Jewish people continue to face death-related persecution on the basis of their religion or ethnicity. Does that even make sense, being persecuted on the basis of one's ethnicity and towards death? Jewish people are strong. |
Islam is a blood-sucking religion.
