You should have waited to see your pay slip before quoting me. Didn't you see that ours in SSSB is higher to what they paid UBE teachers then?

I guess our steps remains step 3 and 4 and not step 6 and 7 like you said.

Read my comment well, it was what someone who works at the board told me. He said we will be paid the new salary which has happened. So if the step has not reflected and other one happened. I guess that is what he heard that he told me. Let's still be optimistic.

I pray this becomes true. If true, UBE grade steps would be upgraded along side SSSB grade steps of 6 and 7 against the former 3 and 4 that were given.

I hope it becomes true too. Who knows if it is the reason why UBE teachers are yet to collect their letters uptill now, weeks after payment. Time will tell sha. Let's keep believing God that things will get better.

I'm very sorry to say this, you have a problem with reading and comprehension. Who told you the government will have to revert back to the old salary? What onlyhandsome said was that, "he got informed that failure for the SSSB to constitute a board, they might not pay the new salary to them". What is dificult to understand?

You even have time to explain to him. I have no doubt in me that he has no other means of information about teachers except here and due to this his character exhibited here always, he also has no body to call or interact with. Honestly persons like that are better ignored than quoting their comments because they can't comprehend easily. Those who understood me asked their principals and confirmed what they submitted. Am not the one paying and what I posted here was what a principal said they submitted. Instead of telling us his findings, he is here talking like a non graduate. you should be ready to post and receive hostility..... If this were a WhatsApp platform, people would dial your number and attack you.
On public fora, once your information is legit and true, post and forget about proving to people with plenty explanation....... Once information you post is proven to regularly be true and accurate, people would know you bring true and accurate information. Attack or no attack , does not change the governor from paying or from not paying. Those who results to attack are people who don't have anything to offer. Someone who has something to offer would have first asked his or her school principal to know what they submitted and then counter the post with points. Na empty vessels Sabi make noise pass. I don't blame some of you who talk carelessly here for reasons known to you. I am a teacher in SSSB and the person who told me is a principal. I said ask you principals. Have you asked your principal what he or she submitted, what did your principal tell you? It foolishness of you to think anyone here is anti new salary. Informations are giving for people to verify. The man told me that he signed and submitted old voucher instead of you to verify from your school principal, you are here talking as if your payment depends on our informations here. Is a pity how some of you reason. Use evidence counter a claim and not mere sympathy comments.

SCARY UPDATE

I was talking to a principal of a school today, he told me in confidence that we may likely not be paid the new salary this month. That they were asked to submit and sign the old voucher. I also talked with someone else at the office of the Head of service and he said same, that we may not considering we don't have a constituted board.
Pls who has a different information? Since then, my mood has not been the same.
If you are close to your own principal, can you confirm what is actually going on.

Pls UBE teachers, have you been able to collect your promotion letters? Any information on the irregularities in your payment? Pls update us on the latest

Let's not be surprised that those at ministry of finance are solely responsible for this mess..they may do this to cash out on teachers knowing fully well is a new pay and no one may suspect them.

Someone should tell us what was added now. Those in level 8 step 3, should tell us what they got and those in step 4 or 5 before the promotion can also tell us. Let us know the difference in the salary. Am surprised that no one has given a breakdown of what he or she got.

Today is Monday not Friday, if it was on Friday I would have believed because of weekend, that salary will be paid. But month is ending on Thursday and state government rarely pay salaries on Monday except in special occasion. So expect it tomorrow or next.

If e come, I go thank God for breaking administrative protocols for our sake. Fear who no fear governor Sim.

In as much as am optimistic to see my new salary, I still have doubt in this government and it's implementation process. I spoke to someone who is at ministry of agriculture, he said only the senior cadres have received promotion letters last two weeks but junior cadres are yet to get.

We have said it here before now, argued and all that for more than 3months yet no payment.

I wonder why this new information is coming from. When we have not seen letters nor have we heard anything new.

If I may ask, this same people telling you guys that new salary will be paid, are they different from the persons who told you guys the other time?

I just have to wait and see. I am hopeful that we will be paid but let's trade with caution not to be disappointed when we see alert next week.

Finally, nothing our God cannot do. If e come we thank God, if e no come too, we still tank God.

After series of meetings with government and our employers..
We have gotten the final rundown of our promotions..

It was a 3 step promotion, meaning that if you were in level 8, you will be promoted to level 12, if in level 9, you are promoted to level 13.

UBE BOARD promoted a total of 15,800 staffs while secondary schools board promoted a total of 7202 staffs...

All done and signed..

So if payments don't come this month due to the formation of secondary schools board,it will be surely paid next month being September...

Let's be positive.

NUT deducts money from this number of staff every year and can not complete their so-called union house in one year? Corruption is deeply rooted. I just hope this figure is real sha cus UBE na full house them be oo. NUT must go.

Gov. Soludo Announces Palliatives To Mitigate Fuel Subsidy Removal.

In a bid to mitigate the impact of the recent fuel subsidy removal, Anambra State Governor Prof. Charles Soludo has announced a series of palliative measures.

The measures include:

1. A 10% salary increase for all public servants and pensioners in the state.
2. A monthly flat non-taxable cash award of N12,000 for every pensioner and public servant in the state for the period September 2023 to December 2023.
3. Distribution of rice to over 300,000 households in the state.
4. Tax exemptions/reductions for hawkers, wheelbarrow and truck pushers, vulcanizers, artisans, okada drivers, petty traders, and transporters.
5. Free antenatal services and free delivery services for pregnant mothers in state primary health centers and general hospitals.
6. Repair/renovation of all serviceable Public Servants Staff Buses currently under the office of the Head of Service of Anambra State.
7. Application to purchase CNG-fueled buses for intra-state transportation.
8. Repair of existing and purchase of new water boats to ease transportation for citizens in the riverine local governments.

In the medium to long term, the governor also announced plans to:

9. Distribute one million oil palm and coconut seedlings per annum to over 100,000 households.
10. Establish a new industrial complex to process the products, thereby creating more jobs for youths.
11. Energize the One Youth Two Skills program by providing a mix of grant and soft loan schemes at a maximum interest rate of 9% per annum.
12. Complete the set-up and funding of the Ward-based Cooperative Initiative for micro-enterprises.
13. Roll out a very ambitious program to build/modernize the primary health centers (PHCs) in all the 326 wards.
14. Construct over 340km of roads across all the twenty-one local governments.
15. Improve the Ease of Doing Business in Anambra to attract private sector investment into the state.

Governor Soludo said that the palliative measures are aimed at cushioning the impact of the fuel subsidy removal on the people of Anambra State."

For those of us in SSSB, anytime you see or hear that the New Board chairman has been inaugurated, just know it that the coming of our promotion letter is at hand.

For the promotion,it has been said earlier that SSSB will be on September but UBE started this week .Letters for UBE will be dispatched immediately school reopened but payment and implementation starts this month while for SSSB will be next month

Don't tell me you guys are still afraid of transfer? When they transfer you out....you can also transfer yourself in. Both transfer and teaching are 5and6. So nothing to worry. Make una no use am divert our promotion updates abeg. All eyes on the promotion letter and implementations.

Glory be to God. The Governor invited the 22 state officers of NUT and the concern teachers led by one Adoye from opobo who complained about the recent deductions by NUT as regards the teachers house and TRCN. His Excellency, after listening to both parties,cautioned Adoye and his group and ask them to support the union because protesting against the union will make them look like rebels and that it may lead to their suspension. He said this should be the last time any group aside the leaders of the union will plan for any protest without channelling their case to the union leaders because he has teachers at heart that if any one will trouble him that it should not be teachers. His Excellency said his first appointment into civil service was as a teacher and that it was teaching profession that made him what he is today. He promised to complete the teachers house to avoid further deductions. For promotion he said 'i know it is your right' for teachers in UBE, we have concluded with them but the senior secondary we are yet because we have not constituted the board but that it will be done in a week time. He promised to pay in arrears. FROM A FRIEND THAT WAS THERE.
