1 Tim 5 vs 8 says: King James: But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. (KJV) Amplified: If anyone fails to provide for his relatives, and especially for those of his own family, he has disowned the faith [by failing to accompany it with fruits] and is worse than an unbeliever [who performs his obligation in these matters]. (AMP) Message: But those who won't care for their own relatives, especially those living in the same household, have denied what we believe. Such people are worse than unbelievers. (NLT) ...and NIV, NKJV, MSB refer to "everyone" not "MAN" like they've all been screaming. Women know that making money is hard but they want to trivialize it. Make the man do all di work, make hin no give di wife anything, you go see nagging and wahala. If na woman do di work, make man no even try am say he wan taste hin wife moni. Na so life suppose be? |
McLizbae:This leadership story is laughable. Some women are now taking up leadership positions in the church. Nowadays, a woman pastors her husband in church as the leader. Will she becomes his follower at home? (I wouldn't know). You think a woman who is the spiritual head over her husband will submit to the man totally in all things? I'm sure even if she tries to do in all other aspects, she won't in spirituality. Responsibility does not consider whether you are a leader or follower. Things should get done. That's what matters. If you checked what the lady posted, she used a Bible passage which many people have been using wrongly: 1 Tim 5:8. |
verminnel:But a wife also loves her husband, right? So how does love equal to carrying responsibilities all alone? Everybody and anyone can love. It's a responsibility for all humans. So, the woman can love without providence but the man's must be interpreted as providence? Again, if a man cannot provide because he lost his job for 6 years, then, he's loveless? The wife of a man who lost his job cannot provide capital for him to run a business or loan him some cash because the Bible stated that a woman must not provide for her household? Moreover, the Bible mentioned that everyone responsible for a household should provide, why are the heathens always more particular about men? |
verminnel:From your concept, people have been using the word "responsible" for a good man . That was why I reiterated that a responsible man is one who doesn't bring anything to the table but whose character reflects fidelity, respect, love, and understanding. If only the man must be responsible, does it mean women are irresponsible in relationships and marriages? If a responsible woman only comes into a martial union with fidelity, respect, love, and understanding, a man who does the same is not responsible? Moreover, where in the Bible was only the man asked to provide? |
McLizbae:A responsible man should not bring anything to the table. When he showers his wife with fidelity, love, understanding and niceness. I think that should be balanced too. |

victorygiven:Hi, what about someone who has his primary education in a Nur/Pry school in Ekiti State, but is originally from Edo State? Will they have to go to Ekiti State to get this primary school document, or they can get it from their state of origin? |
This woman too wants to cash out. I'm already SMH for Jeff. |
Jandminded:MOE: Educational certificates; BSc transcript, cert, WAEC & English proficiency. MFA: Educational certs, plus birth cert and affidavits (if you've sworn any). |
Jandminded:Yes, you can send someone in Abuja, but be sure the person has enough time because they may need to visit the ministries more than once. Some said they used up to 2 weeks to process their documents at the two ministries. |
Jandminded:I used someone to run it because it was urgent. Can't remember the total amount spent. If you are close to Abuja, you can go there by yourself. |
So long, too long. |
okeyfx:Which area(s) in the south like Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, or Lagos can you supply to? Do you deliver the goods through your agents in the locations and the buyer sees the goods before making payment (to you or the agent)? |
Greydebz:Sent a message to your email. |
Greydebz:I sent you a connect via email. Check your email. |
Greydebz:I'll like to connect with you if you don't mind. |
sunnymighty:Have you gotten someone for this? If not, let's discuss.... |
AutoChick4U:How do they use the guava leaves for BP treatment? |
Who did their authentication recently (by themselves) at the Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs? How is the process? Can one complete the process within 2 days? My appointment date is very close and I still have 2 documents yet to be authenticated. If you did authentication recently by yourself, kindly give me a heads-up about how long it took you. Thanks |
Olunonso:Hello, Please, how did you guys fill the maiden name field in the passport application? Initially, I skipped the space since I am a man. But the preview gave the space as mother's maiden name, which I went back to re-edit and fill-in. Now, after filling it in, subsequently, the place has been showing "maiden name". So, the question is, will the place be filled with mother's maiden name? |
sexymonkey:Okay, thanks for the hint. |
beevalley:Thanks |

sexymonkey:Hello guys, Just a little inquiry about Finland proof of funds. Will €6,720.00 be acceptable (or enough) as proof of fund for a student going on the study route? |
Anybody who has done their legalization recently at the Austrian embassy should give us update. Are applicants now to pay in Naira as instructed by the CBN? Also, what is the cost (in Euro or naira)? |
Hello guys, While researching for proof of fund for Finland, I saw that after the payment of school fees, one should have an equivalent of €560.00 per month or €6,720.00. 1. Will €6,720.00 be sufficient as POF for Finland? Or like how much should it be? 2. Does the year of study counts towards PR. Like, after using 2 years for study, one will need to get a job, and use another 2-3 years to qualify for PR? Thanks in advance |
Hello guys, Kindly help clarify the following about Study in Austria for an M.Sc. applicant: 1. I don't understand German, is English language proficiency enough for the study in English programs? 2. How much is the proof of funds for a single applicant or two people (husband & wife)? 3. Austria vs. Finland, which country offers better opportunities for international students? I've learnt a lot by going through the thread. I just need some forms of clarification. |
Remitush:Yes, I am interested on the career path. |
Already working on this. |
ednut1:There are many things to say about this country. I was reading it on the frontpage that a religious leader was admonishing his people to vote a leader that will support bandits' operations... ![]() Just take a look at this report from Ondo state, which is attached to this post. Now imagine someone experiencing this, and a religious leader is still admonishing his people to vote leaders that will ensure that the operations of his bandit brothers are unhindered? With this, how does the future of this country look? Yet, someone is saying people trying to find a means of sustenance should not leave this country.

This is more or less an indirect response to the first thread, here: https://www.nairaland.com/7500932/japa-propaganda-mindset-nigerian-youths I have been reading online, and also following the stories on the media, newspapers, and online platforms about traveling out of the country, a phenomenon widely addressed as "Japa". Like I opined, this is not a direct response to the first thread, because I am not trying to spring up an argument about traveling abroad from Nigeria. However, this thread is to put it to you anti-japa croners that you should mention any ten viable businesses that a young graduate can start with 1-3 million naira in the Nigeria of today, and also propose how to raise the capital for such businesses. Now, why am I writing this? There are so many things to say about our dear country, but let's talk about this.... Did you know that there has been embargo on employment in Nigeria since 2020? I used to wonder why people complain that youngsters are traveling out of a country that has placed embargo on employment (federal/state) for the past 3 years. If records or statistics are anything to go by, this means about 1.8 million graduates in three years without provision from the government about employment. Like I opined, there are many things to convince us as Nigerians that the government and the people needs to do better. But, if you cannot propose a solution to the problems on ground, leave the youngsters trying to find a solution for themselves. Let everyone find a solution for their personal lives. That is how Nigeria has been running. Hardships only breed criminal minded people.

onlyhope:Although, I've written this before, but let me propose a solution. I have a friend who's a teacher. He actually told me sometime ago that parents based abroad do pay the school fees of their children directly to the school account. So, get the contact of your daughter's school, including the phone no of proprietor & head teacher. Be paying her school fees directly into the school account henceforth. Also, don't pay your sister's children school fees again. Rather, send your sis some money monthly for your daughter's upkeep if she still stays with your sis. With this, your sis and her husband have no excuse not to take care of your daughter or push their financial responsibility to you. |
The word "gave" = providence
