Biafrans, who up until now, did not have a physical venue apart from the radio station to worship, can now worship at a venue given to those who live in the Scandinavian country of Sweden.

While the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) members all around the world, welcome this generous act by the Swedish government, the establishment of a first ever Biafran Church, at least in this generation’s time, raises a litany – literally – of questions.

Biafrans are traditionally inclined to Abrahamic faiths and teachings which are expressly evident in their ways of life. They are among the few people in the world that circumcise their male sons on the 8th day. And by the names Biafran communities and people bear, they give praises to the most high Chukwuabiamah.

But with the arrival of the Christian missionaries together with the colonialists, who brought with them, their version of Christianity which Biafrans were made to embrace, the Christian faith has replaced the Abrahamic faith of old in Biafraland, albeit currently infused with Yoruba teachings and liturgy.

Should they copy Yoruba Pentecostalism or should they be modeled after synagogue meetings with a few tweaks here and there to suit our people?

So before the people in Sweden kick off their Saturday or Sunday meetings, how will the Biafran Church be organised? What will be the liturgy? Considering our history and tradition as people who naturally worship the one and only true Chukwuabiamah, the Chi ukwu of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, in what way are Biafrans going to praise him? Will they come into meetings with a full rock band-set as is wont to be found in Pentecostal churches or will they sing praises to him from old church hymns taken from various denominations?

The new Biafran Churches which will soon spring up are expected to have a liturgy and organisational structure that is the same across the board, no matter the location and should be such that when Biafra is restored and a temple is finally built, as the Biafran leader, Mazi Kanu states over the radio, all the churches will come under the direction of a central body in Biafraland. And to achieve that structure, priests/pastors/ministers have to receive necessary training. But for now, those who will minister the new church in Sweden and others which will likely spring up shortly, should have a basic training and an idea of what direction the church is going and should endeavor to observe to a reasonable extent church doctrines and teachings.

Capital Oil and Gas owned by Ifeanyi Ubah is currently selling fuel in Nnewi, Anambra State at N100 per litre.

Mr. Ubah had on Sunday promised to open his facility to “approximately 400 trucks of petroleum products” because “of to the immense hardship witnessed by Nigerians following the suspension of loading activities in all depots”.
In Lagos, Capital Oil is selling fuel at N87.

The entire country has been hit by an unprecedented fuel crisis that has grounded the nation’s economy with banks, telecommunications firms and media organisations limiting their hours of operations.

Capital Oil and Gas Ltd had on Sunday commenced the loading of 13 million litres of petrol from its depot in Apapa for distribution to the various states to reduce the current scarcity.
The Chairman of the company, Ifeayin Ubah, told journalists in Lagos that more than 2,000 trucks would be loaded before May 29 to boost the country’s economic activities.

He said the company’s facilities had the capacity to load 13 million litres of the product within the period.
“This comes to approximately 400 trucks of petroleum products on daily basis. With this, it is our belief that once again our citizens will begin to smile and return to normal family and work life.
“We call on other petroleum marketers to follow suit and save our nation from this impending economic and social crisis,’’ he said.

Below are some common fallacies most Nigerian guys have been pressured and deceived over the years to believe . You might hold a different opinion from these but emerging 'trends' and 'happenstances' in our society clearly point to the fact that these common beliefs no longer hold weight and logic and therefore, may be seen as nonsense!

1) #You can only find someone who truly loves you when you are still struggling#: Bullcrap! Nonsense! So we were told while we were younger! Now, we know better . It is as good as saying 'only poor men find real love'. Imagine that!!! It means 2Face Idibia must have married a bad wife; a woman who doesn't have real love for him because he met her after he attained fame! How fallacious this sounds! Whether you like it or not, there are classes in our society and one should strive to attain the class he feels he wants his would-be wife to come from . I just feel people who still hold this opinion are suffering from a psychology that promotes inferiority complex! Finding a good wife or a woman that truly loves you has nothing to do with struggling! If you are comfortable and finds a woman that is as comfortable as you and in your class, would you say she's after your wealth?

2) #Even if there's no money, when we give birth, children will bring blessings#: Don't allow anyone deceive you, folks. Yeah, blessings come but do not put the life of somebody's daughter at risk and endangering the lives of the tiny legs you would produce because you don't have enough to cater for them!!! Even Jesus Christ, in the Bible(the synoptic gospels), admonished Christians to calculate the cost of something before embarking on it, else the enemies mock the person that he couldn't maintain what he started (call me Pastor Rapmoney ) Truth be told, it would take the grace of God to maintain peace and ensure fidelity in a home that lacks money in these modern times!

3) #Beautiful women have bad attitude#: We can as well say 'ugly women have nice attitude No one is perfect! What you might admire in someone could be different from what the next man would admire in them. Who says a woman cannot be beautiful within and in the outside? It doesn't mean you should place all your bets on big buttocks, pointed boobs and pretty face but I tell you today, marrying a woman who is very presentable doesn't make you a fool or criminal! I love beautiful women

4)#A man should set a woman up financially#: Another bunkum!!! Marriage involves two people who are emotionally, psychologically, spiritually and financially mature! I strongly believe that ladies should as well be financially ready before they get married. It is not just a man's thing. If he goes out to win the bread, you as the woman, should also go out to win the akara. You would attract more respect by such from the man. Men hardly misbehave when they are aware that their wife is financially strong too . It is better to marry a woman that has acquired her degree or into one profession, business, trade or occupation than to get married to a woman who does nothing, sits and folds her hands, waiting for a man to come and marry her in order to take away her burden! Are you getting married to a human being or a burden?

5) #Money is not all; what matters is love#: This is what most girls use to deceive guys on social media, including Nairaland. I always say it that it is only on NL and other social media that girls are quick to say this trash! Most girls can't practise it in real life. They only say this to create what I call 'social media good face' . Same girl that says this online will operate in the opposite offline. Don't let them fool ya fellas!!! . Don't believe this! If you believe this, then you will surely believe anything. It existed in the past...not now. The society has transformed to something else and it is either you follow up or get left behind; simple truth! Make good money and you won't even have time to listen to such trash!!!

Just yesterday most south easterners were boasting that we would not experience scarcity. Many Noelle names were mentioned. Others bragged that we have hundreds of illegal refineries therefore scarcity would never hit us. Many said we were all so hard working and industries and had the brain to change water into fuel.

Fast forward to this morning. Awka capital of Anambra. I bought fuel two days ago at 140 per litre. Also two days ago half the filling stations in awka had fuel do I can understand why many of us developed that false sense of security. This morning I went out to buy real...

All those stations were closed down. There was just no fuel. It took me a thirty minutes drive round the city to find fuel. I finally found it close to the anambra/Enugu border. The queue was massive.

And the cost? 170 per. Relatively cheaper you'd say... Across the road another station was selling but at 200 per. I got a frantic call from a friend who told me he bought for 250 in some village off Awka. He had to travel all the way to that village to get fuel.

I asked a friend in asaba. He said they now buy for 240 but it's so damn hard to get.

Scarcity is hitting all of us. We in the South East should not brag about immunity. We are all doomed.

Pls don't quote me wrongly, the purpose of this thread is not to encourage smoking but to get explanation from Nairaland deep thinkers of what could be the probable cause of it. but from my own observation, When i was opportuned to visit USA (Miami, Florida) to be precise. I was forced to compare and contast the social live styles of our Women with theirs as regard to smoking and drinking. I noticed about 45% of them were habitual smokers.
