It's merely conventional or an unwritten rule but the APC has already broken one of those rules that binds our democracy. That's the Christian/Muslim ticket. Now we have Muslim- Muslim ticket and heaven did not fall. Power can also be disintegrated to 6 geopolitical zones instead of North and South. Or just a free for all fight for the best candidate to win. Do you think if our electoral process were free and fair and government institutions has accountability Nigerians will vote on those premises? Even at state level people will lose elections they were confident to win cos it's the turn of their zone

I think it is the political parties in Nigeria who appear to have been bribed so that they will not challenge the governors who dont hold local government elections.
If there is democracy in the local governments then some of them will throw up real visionary leaders as chairmen
A local government with 150,000 population will have up to 50,000 buildings and tenement collection wil be around 2 billion naira per annum, adverts should be up to 100 million naira, produce tax if majority of workers are farmers will be in excess of 5 billion naira per annum. If they are not farmers then other taxes will be higher
But it can't happen when the governors don't hold elections and the non ruling political parties are ok with that

Watch the video and get your answers. Akande is a member of the Tinubu family. Tinubu apart from working with Mobil at the time also had an investment company. He was the American educated star of the family and it's only reasonable for family members who believe in him to invest in his investment ideas.

Akande is his (Tinubu's) uncle. He's the one running the narcotics ring. He and some other family members placed money for investment in Tinubu's several accounts.


All the accounts had about $1,460,000. The US government seized everything initially but Tinubu was able to prove to investigators that $1,000,000 of the money belongs to him and other family members who had no link to drugs trafficking while the $460,000 that belongs to Akande was forfeited. How's that so difficult to understand?
