Next time, don't use a bank account/card that you have money inside. As I dey, I know my Gtb account is for Internet/freelancing stuff. So, if I want to pay for anything, I put the exact amount therein. Don't put yourself in unnecessary debt. If you only have one account, I would suggest you get two. So that freelancer.com won't wreck you. They won't be able to remove any money, this will force them to remove from your freelancer account when you have deposits. Reason I love other sites than freelancer.com. They don't touch your bank account. Freelancer dot com is just too hasty to dip its kleptomaniac hand into your hard earned savings. Assuming you get a job of $400, do you have the financial buoyancy to spare $40 out of your naija account in black market rate for this recession? Cash wey no guarantee say your client go release milestones. So, please be smart also. Don't mumu for these thieving whites too. It's a thing to be enjoyed, not endured. Just follow the advise, and transfer from account A to B when you need funds for online stuff. Remove the card you use for payment and add another wey no get money. More jobs to your huzzle.

Kudos to all contributors of this thread. I just signed up to freelancer.com a few days ago and I got awarded a project.
I took advantage of the 1 month free professional trial and started bidding. Upon me accepting the project, I was debited $5 from my gtb account which is about 2200 naira.
I got talking with another employer who wanted to hire me but because of the other experience, I told him to use the 'hire me' option because of the 10% fee charged by freelancer. As i clicked the 'accept' button, it was shown to me that $5 would be deducted again.
Advice me on what to do, please. I cannot afford another $5 as exchange rate no dey smile o. My payoneer card is slated to arrive late October.

The issue I have with mtn is getting really frustrating. I haven't been getting text messages for 3 weeks now. The only texts I get are from mtn and not from other numbers, especially mtn numbers.
I have called the customer care line over and over again. They have reset my line but there is no change. its still the same. I've also reset the message centre number as the customer care agent instructed me to. Texts from my bank also don't come in.
Kindly help check this out and fix. It would be greatly appreciated. The number is .

I must commend the work being done here. It's really helpful to young people venturing into importation. I do seem to have a problem of my own now though.
I ordered some goods on aliexpress about a month ago. I haven't been able to track the parcel. It says 'China post has not received parcel RG.....' I've sent messages to the seller and he keeps telling me it will be updated soon. I have about 30 days of protection left. should I open dispute or keep waiting? Thanks.

I have a problem with my gp2. I can't send service messages like messages to 131 or 440. It just bounces back and says message not sent. I have to remove my sim card and put it in another phone when i want to send messages like that and when inserting the sim again into my p2,it sends the last text message to the sender automatically. Could someone help me,please? Perhaps I disabled a setting I'm not aware of. Thanks

Sheggy13: I just bought the Gionee P2 but haven't rooted it.I found out that when using droidvpn and MTN BIS, the only thing I can do successfully is surf the internet with the opera mini browser and text-chat on whatsapp.I can't access Play store. keeps bringing up the error message 'No Connection.. Retry'.YouTube also doesn't work while I cant send or receive files like pictures and videos or even voice messages on whatsapp.. Can just only text-chat on whatsapp..But when i subscribed for normal MTN data plan,I could do all of these.This was never the case with my previous phone, tecno N3.I could do all of these also without issues ,even though I use the same droidvpn app with MTN BIS..Anyone has/had similar issues, help a brother out please, cheers.
