BBREAKING: Lagos Govt Shuts Down Dowen College Indefinitely Over Death Of Sylvester Oromoni

Lagos State Government has ordered the indefinite closure of Dowen College situated at Lekki over the death of one of their students, 12 year old Sylvester Oromoni Jnr.

The closure of the school is a response to the controversies surrounding the death of Oromoni Jnr, whose family insisted was assaulted by senior students of the school for allegedly refusing to join a “secret cult” in the school.

Late Oromoni's family members also revealed that the 12 year old boy was forced to consume chemicals by the culprits.

Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, announced the closure of the school after a meeting with the School Management and Staff.

Adefisayo appealed for calm, saying “no effort will be spared in getting to the root of the incident”.

According to new reports, some of the Dowen College students allegedly responsible for the death of their classmate, Sylvester Oromoni, have been reportedly arranged to be flown abroad.

Recall 12 year old Sylvester Oromoni, was allegedly beaten to death by the said classmates over his refusal to join a school cult.

However, Dowen’s College debunked the news, claiming the deceased sustained an injury while playing football with his peers.

In reaction, late Sylvester's cousin, Perrie Oromoni, who called out Dowen college for trying sweep the truth under the carpet shared final moments of the 12 year old, claiming the young Omoni was not only assaulted, but also given a foreign substance to consume.

New reports reaching us claim that some of the culprits who beat the life out of the 12-year-old boy after refusing to join their cult have been arranged for a trip out of the country.

The victim’s cousin, Perri, confirmed this in a statement after releasing their faces.

He said two out of the five have been arranged to leave, if not out already.

A12-year-old student of Dowen College, Lekki Phase One, Lagos, boy has been beaten to death by his fellow school mates.

The little boy identified as Sylvester Oromoni Junior, was beaten to death for refusing to join a cult group in his school.

A relative of the deceased, identified as @Perrisonoromoni on Twitter who shared the news disclosed that his 12 year old cousin was battered on Friday but died on Tuesday after a series of tests and X-rays indicated that he sustained internal injuries.

Noting that the boarding school costs over a million naira, @Perrisonoromoni disclosed that the school authorities had told the deceased’s father, Sylvester Oromoni, a Delta state politician, that the boy sustained injuries while playing football at the school.

However the hospital he was taken to by his father confirmed that the boy was bullied and sustained internal injuries after he was allegedly beaten up.
