seunmsg: Very calm and mature response. I was hoping against all hope that somehow, party leaders will forgive Ambode and give him the ticket until he pulled that dirty stunt today. The silly attack on Jide Sanwoolu's person was absolutely unnecessary. For whatever this contest is worth, it should never be about personal attacks. Ambode showed today that he truly cannot be trusted no matter the outcome of tomorrow's primary.
He had all the opportunity today to talk about his achievements in office and make a strong case for why he's still the party's best bet going into next years election. However, he took the stupid route of fighting dirty. He lost more supporters today with the ill advice mud fight that he wanted to start. I think he has tried all necessary ways to make peace with tinubu but didn't yield anything meaningful so he taught coming out dirty is the best. He has to fight back even if he will loose. They want to ridicule him, he should not take it. |

BoneBlogger: Senator Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom North-West) who recently dumped the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives' Congress (APC), was beaten by the rain at a rally held yesterday in Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District.
The rally was organized in honour of Muhammadu Buhari and to encourage him to continue in office as President beyond 2019, as well as to receive Obong Nsima Ekere, the son of the Senatorial District whose performance has been a source of inspiration and blessing to the entire senatorial district as the Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
According to reports by Akwa Ibomites who claimed to have attended the rally, the senator and former state governor Akpabio, refused to use an umbrella in the rain as he firmly flaunted his broom at the event.
It was alleged that senior APC Chieftains said the umbrella is considered a symbol of PDP and as such was not used at the APC event.

Mediablare: New President of Liberia, George Weah, Tuesday said he acquired a “broke nation” from his forerunner, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
He, notwithstanding, vowed to battle endemic debasement in the nation.
George Weah, who assumed control office on January 22, is looked with a critical financial circumstance following two common wars and a fatal Ebola pestilence that softened out up the nation a few years back.
He told journalists in Paris, France, where he is at present on official visit, “I acquired a nation that is exceptionally down and out, drained by political misbehavior. We need to ensure that the things that happened won’t occur once more.
Weah also said his top priority as president was education for young people, who represent 60 percent of 4.7 million Liberians. He added, “I believe in education. Yes, I didn’t have the opportunity in my early days but after my carrier I went back to school. Today I can boast of a masters degree.”
“Liberia is the oldest African country but we don’t have an engineering school. We don’t even have a diagnosis centre to tell if someone has Ebola,” Weah said, vowing to do more to get children in school and “to leave the street”.
Weah is relied upon to meet with French President, Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday at the Elysee Palace, alongside a few games figures, and Vice President of the World Bank for Africa, Makhtar Diop.

Christianity Etc › Re: Aisha Buhari Canceled Birthday Celebrations Because Nigerians Are Suffering by Oolawepo(m): 12:00pm On Feb 20, 2018 |
engineerboat: I canceled my birthday celebrations yesterday because Nigerians are suffering - Aisha Buhari.
Wife of the President, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, did not celebrate her 46th birthday yesterday as a show of feelings for Nigerians who are suffering and the underprivileged. The Director of Information in the Office of the Wife of the President, Suleiman Haruna, disclosed this in a chat with our correspondent last night.
“She did not celebrate her birthday. She only marked it with the distribution of gifts to patients in some hospitals in Abuja. Even at her residence, there was no party or any celebration. Why should she celebrate when so many people are suffering? There are many internally displaced persons in various IDP camps,” he said. Earlier in a statement yesterday, Haruna had quoted Mrs Buhari as calling on the privileged Nigerians “to do more in the lives of the less privileged with a view to increasing the feeling of humanity among citizens.”
He said Mrs Buhari made the call during the distribution of gift packs to patients at Asokoro, Garki, Wuse and Maitama District Hospitals in Abuja, in commemoration of her birthday.
Haruna said while Mrs Buhari, through a Senior Special Assistant to the President Dr Hajo Sani noted that imbibing the spirit of giving would spread love and amity in the polity.

AlexReports: Lagos, Nigeria — Controversy is trailing the disappearance of $100,000 from the coffers of Nigeria's examination board. The exam board alleges that a clerk in Benue State has blamed a snake for swallowing the missing money. The money was supposed to be remitted to the agency.
Fabian Benjamin, spokesman of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, told CNN that a staffer confessed to auditors a snake had "swallowed" the missing money. "She confessed that she had the money, kept it in a vault in the office but a snake came and swallowed the money," Benjamin told CNN. "The staff and others in her category that are found culpable have been suspended and will be handed over to appropriate authorities," he added.
The clerk, identified as Philomena Chiesche, denied the allegations, saying the exam board invented the story about the snake. She also accused the exam board of turning her in to authorities, who she claims still haven't questioned her about the missing funds.
"I did not say any money was swallowed by a snake. Nobody questioned me about that case. I am just a clerk and I serve under directors who are accounting officers. I wonder why they are personalizing the case?" the clerk told CNN.
Social media erupted at the nature of the allegations. A Twitter account has been made for the snake. Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission tweeted that the agency's national symbol, the eagle, shows no mercy for "money-swallowing snakes."
http://www.alexreports.info/2018/02/frame-up-nigerian-clerk-i-didnt-say.html?m=0 Seriously when something like this happens in civil service the junior officer are meant to suffer it. they should ask the accounting officer ?. They are the ogas at the top. |
