@billydragon, u ve filled in ur application. Pls I ve a question. Can u list does documents, u upload as attachments? And wen u reach d payment options,how do u do it? Do u pay online or upload d teller u use to pay in Nigeria? Pls I need a urgent answer to this my questions.

Mari is the course coordinator abi? i personally sent him/her an email, telling her to sign the scholarship contract and send it back to me but she said it isnt necessary since it has been stated on the admission letter. and yes i think she is right. just package other documents and include the details in your introductory letter/SOP and you are good to go

Yes. His/her name is mari. How is ur sister going to package her own acct. Is she going to put in all d money or na 500k? Becos dts what I am puting in my acct.

Was the duration and the scholarship amount mentioned in the letter of acceptance?

Send a mail and convince your course coordinator to forward the mail she sent to the Finnish immigration service so that you can include it in your application.

In your letter of explanation mention the scholarship and make reference to your letter of acceptance. Also include the contact information of your course coordinator stating that he has informed Finnish Immigration and can also be contacted.

This Finnish people re funny ooo. Wen I send a plea letter to him, he said I shldn't worry. That he have contacted both the immigration and d embassy. But if dey ve issue,they will back to her. That d certificate is going to the Finnish immigration office straight.
That's whr I am now.

@sirkezman, @ iceberg54 I ve an issue. My course coordinator said,he won't send scholarship certificate to us,dt he will only inform Finnish immigration services,which she has done. That d scholarship is mention in my admission letter,dt I shld present it like dt.
My question is,won't that have effect on my RP, becos am puting jst 500k to my acct. Am I good to go?

@sirkezman @goskian and other peeps applying for RP... make una sharply send mail to embassy of Finland, the info I got before that interview date is usually 4 weeks after date of booking is true. I sent a mail to the embassy today and my interview date is 10 June 2015.

For guys resuming in AUGUST abeg make una sharply go book interview date oo.

Another info I think will be important is that the embassy recommends 5 banks for students

1. GTB
2. Zenith
3. Access bank
4. First bank and;
5. Skye bank

@ olabode pls,we that we want to do online too, wen re we going to send document to abj? And is it necessary we send document to them or we will jst go on d day we booked?

Thanks guys, I will do just that. I just sent interview booking request to the embassy now, I booked 11th June. I think you are the one to select the date of your interview, which has to be at least two weeks after your documents (hard copies) have been delivered at the embassy.

At least 500k. Dont know the current exchange rate. Just make sure that scholarship amount + the amount in ur acct is not less than the amount they specified when converted to naira. I think its 6720 ...not sure.

Yes u can use uncle. Its just always easier to use an immediate family because they will.be asking annoying questions like hw u r related, y is he sponsoring u, bla bla bla. But dont worry, most people still get it and the fact that u have a scholarship already makes ur case easier.

@iceberg pls I need a cogent advice. I ve a scholarship of 500 euro per month from my school. So am thinking of getting 2000 euro for my sponsorship acct. Dt will be around 500k. Shld I deposit only 500k in my acct?
Secondly, I want to use a uncle of mine but we don't share the same surname,i want to use him as my sponsor. How can it be possible? Pls house I need urgent answer to my 2 questions. Thanks

@sirKez and @olusey. thanks guys. I'll look into this. Concerning family members' names for deposits. The only one who has d same surname as mine is my bro. Others have remarried and now have new surnames(my mum, sisters, aunts, etc). How do I deposit money in "family members' names" then? Please advise. Getting a sponsor will be a bit difficult. No one is willing to give that kind of money, moreover what will be the acceptable relationship between this sponsor and I? Please explain further. I intend to apply in 3 weeks and visit Abuja before June 12.

To other matters... is there no one else going to the University of Helsinki? Make me sef get padi from nairaland when I reach there na. We fit combine money to cut costs.

Finally, to those who got multiple admission offers which included Uni of Helsinki, u berra go for U of H if u intend to work in finland with ur degree. Those foreign countries are somehow towards where ur degree is from o. They'd prefer employing graduates from their best uni over others. Grads of the best unis easily get job offers compared to the others. It's d truth.

Not giving that kine of money for ur sponsor. All what you will do is to use his acct,put the money in his acct den withdraw it back. Since u ve d cash, u only need his acct and his name.

@sureboy I understand d brain storm u re passing thru now. It is well. Bros, why can't u get a sponsor(anybody) and sworn to an affidavit that will back him up. U can call him an uncle from ur maternal side and he will be responsible for ur upkeep over there. 2nd option is to be withdrawing certain amount of cash and putting it bck in d names of ur family members. But it must not be upto 500k,if it is dt person statement of acct will be needed. But to make dis thing okay,d 1st option will be beta.
That's to my best idea bro.

Another thing the vo will look at is Ur capability to sponsor urself the following year.......remember u r not allowed to depend on work from the vo's point of.View
if Ur company will not provide u with a paid leave letter...please involve Ur family members in the way I described in my other post....

Also note...it is important to include an sop in Ur application..it is not neccessary..but significant....sometimes Ur document might not follow a chronological order and the Vo may overlook certain documents...Ur sop may simply detail the documents uv attached and it's purpose..for example ..U use two bank








statements....the vo might simply take a look at one and simply conclude u do not have enuf funds.....Ur sop can make the vo aware that u r using two bank statements from different banks....dumb analogy...I know ..but consider it from a broader perspective

That insurance form in our package for UEF,is jst a form of advert. UEF is helping them to advertise the package. But wen I calculate the overall cost,is the same thing with what AIICO and mutual will collect from us. So let's stick to what we ve in d country and apply with it

And I tink d official notification of admission sent to u by d admission officer can b use 2 process visa rite Cos am tinking of using dis to process my visa. I don't want 2 delay my sef by waiting

We will send it by email and dispatch it by dhl again. Moreova,u can use it to process ur visa, if u print it by colour printer. Moreova why d rush,u can wait for d nxt 2 weeks now.
