I have a problem and I need a quick solution. My dad transfer 1.5m to my GTB account but I withdrew it in cash and deposited it in my first bank acct. I actually withdrew it from GTbank to first bank becoz I was having a tough time telling them to change my Olajide to Jide since Jide was what was on my passport and the details I filled when applying to aalto was also Jide and not Olajide. I know I will be having problems with my name that's why I transfer the fund to first bank.

What can I do now since the money wasn't transfer to my first bank from my dad's account but to GTbank? And the statement of account will show I am still the same person that deposited the funds into my first bank accounts instead of my dad.

I need advice on what to do. Can I withdraw the money from first bank and deposit it again in my first bank but this time will write my dad's name as the depositor. Will this method work? Btw Jide is my last name.

Bro, what u did is not bad. But to me u shld ve use ur GTB accct like dt. Since it is jst ola dt is d difference,embassy will wave it.
Secondly, u shldn't ve deposit the money in ur name @ d 1st instance. It shld be in ur sponsor name.
So my take on is dt. U use ur GTB acct.withdraw the money from 1st bank and deposit back in ur dad's name since he is d sponsor.

Exactly like serikzman said,d money shld be in ur sponsor's account, den move it to ur acct.
Now is not everything u will deposit into ur spnosr acct in a day. U will spread it for like a perod of 2 weeks,and u will pay it in another names. Moreova a question need to be ask, what is ur sponsor into? Business or working? If it is working, what is salary scale?

Omo, Hoas just offered an apartment. 233 euros per month, electricity, water and Internet incuded. 12.5m2 room in a 2 room apartment. Tenancy starts September 1 but I plan to be in helsinki by august 23rd by his grace cos of uni of helsinki's orientation ish! Omo, na serious gbege cos no cheap hotel for those 8 days. U don't need to panic abt the interview @ all it is very simple. Just a small question abt d funds in ur account especially large funds u deposited.

My passport dey expire 30th june, 2016. but the embassy says in order to apply for residence permit, ur passport expiry date must be at least one year from the time you expect to arrive in finland. but im yet to send visa application as i dey husle for the 6720 euro dem need... and i no want enter into passport renewal process now as the school advises me to start applying for my visa as soon as possible and i know his passport renewal thing fit take long time..i must be in Finalnd by August.

On the passport issue, u ve no problem. Jst go ahead since it is 2016. If it is june 2016, than go ahead.

Lautech shldn't be diffcult. Becos they will get ur transcript d way u want it. I will advice u to get some @ d transcript office. The only barrier is official envelope. But u can liase wth anybody @ d student affair. The official envelope is very important.

Origin of funds means the source of the funds. For example;

1. If funds represents salary payment.... a payslip should suffice as origin of funds backed with employment letter.

2. Also some huge transfers from one account to another. A copy of the bank statement of the other account should suffice.

3. Rental income.... receipt and rent agreement should suffice as origin of funds.

Guy from experience, bank transfer,internet banking and all dis bulshit may hang on d air. Why can't u wait till wen u get to abuja and pay in any SC bank u see. I will not advice u to do internet bank. I will rather ask u to do fund transfer but am not sure if dey will issue receipt for that. Liase with ur bank if with FT u will get a receipt.

Lemme give u a brief on cost

You need to be able to raise 1.5M or get a sponsor to deposit 1.5M in ur account.

Test of english will cost btw 35K - 40K

You can write one out of TOEFL, IELTS and
PTE Academic

Notarization of certificates will cost between 50 naira to 200 naira per page.

transcript cost varies per school

You also need to get an international passport if you don't have one already.

You need to send ur transcript and application package to the school..... i used DHL and it costs 13,400. So multiply that by the number of application you will like to send.

...So u need around 65K for pre admission cost for one program.

....After admission you will need the following
32K for insurance
67K to 72K for residence permit fees
9K to send ur docs to the finish embassy... i used DHL
other expenses....5K ( bank statement, scanning n printing cost)

....So u should b looking at around 110k for post admission cost.

In total budget around 170K for one program excluding cost of obtaining transcripts from ur University and sending to d school of ur choice.


Please ensure u have a way of getting 1.5M in your account with d required support documentation.

To back it up. Let me give a small advice. Starting a journey is gud if u don't know how much u will spend totally,becos if u do,u won't try @ all. But if u take the step,it will be diffcult 4 u to mid way. So start 1st, den see how everything will add up eventually.

Boss still try to submit if u can. So at least u can track ur application online. It will be frustrating to be left in the dark for weeks or even months. Migri and UAF have the same blood in them. They wont give u ur application status if u mail them. They are annoying set of people. So its better, so u can have peace of mind during that period.....cos no be easy period o...lol.

Bros I tried to do it online,i tried to an extent that I need to start my application all over again. Still it didn't submit and d deadline was near. So I quickly opt for paper based one becos it's beta to do dt, Dan to lose d whole application. I know it won't be eazy,ve already project august for myself. Make God help me.
