• Ex-VP secretly sponsors two APC and one PDP gubernatorial candidates in fresh offensive against political arch rival

Finally, Abubakar Atiku is going for broke against his arch rival, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Like a veteran chess genius gunning for the jugular of a fearsome opponent, Atiku, a former Vice President (VP) of the country, has launched a war of wits and political subterfuge against two-time governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu.

Atiku’s recent offensive against Tinubu is however, being delivered as sneaky punches from the sidelines. The former VP has decided to go against the wishes of APC national leader, Tinubu, by secretly backing and sponsoring the gubernatorial ambitions of APC’s Rotimi Akeredolu, Olusola Oke and Eyitayo Jegede, incumbent Attorney-General of the State who is also a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, at the forthcoming governorship elections.

Curiously, however, Jegede was Atiku’s lawyers for so many years.

Atiku is throwing his weight behind the trio in desperate bid to thwart the emergence of Tinubu’s anointed candidate, Prof. Ajayi Boroffice, as the APC’s governorship candidate. Sources within the APC revealed that Atiku is working hard to best Tinubu in the ensuing war of will and test of might over the forthcoming elections.

So desperate is the former VP to tame and outshine Tinubu that he resorted to such extreme measure as secretly sponsorship of the candidacy of rival PDP candidate, Jegede, in his bid to pull all stops in ensuring that Tinubu does not have his way. Although President Muhammadu Buhari has decided to back Tinubu’s candidate for Ondo governorship seat, Atiku would rather one of his three candidates win Ondo’s most coveted political seat.

In few months, subject to the timetable of the Independent National Electoral Commission, the people of Ondo State will go to the poll to elect another leader that will take over from the incumbent governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, whose tenure expires on February 23, 2017

How does this affect the plight of the Masses?

If a national issue doesn't affect the plight of the masses, is it when you impregnate your girlf friend that the masses should be carry along? I know where you're coming from, you're frustrated because APC keeps on getting it right.

What about Nuhu Ribadu who just controversial primary of Adamawa State PDP governorship ticket in Abuja, I guess he is the founding member of the PDP? Useless talk from a drowning household!

If Lawrence Anini were to be alive,he would have also clinched Edo state governorship ticket.If Otokoto senior were to be alive,he would have also won APC governorship ticket in imo state.

Anybody - people with shady characters,criminals,gay,ritualists,armed robbers,could win a ticket in APC.Once they join,they become progressives.Even satan is a progressive.

Story for the gods . . . Nuhu Ribadu recently ported to PDP just because of Adamwa State governorship by-election. He has just been announced as the guber candidate in a controversial primary thy was held in Abuja instead of in Yola. You need deliverance from the burden you placed on yourself because of APC

The coast is now cleared for Akinwumi Ambode to win Lagos governorship on the platform of APC. Two pointers to that are; he is being challenged on indigeneship the same way his predecessors, Bolatito Ahmed Tinubu and Babatunde Raji Fashola were challenged but won. Secondly, it is now apparent that PDP fears Double "A" candidature and wanted it substituted for a weaker candidate for them to have field day during general election the same way PDP and Jonathan are scared of Muhammadu Buhari as APC presidential candidate.

Let Atiku oils his machinery very well in preparation for support for Buhari after the primaries because APC leadership has no ticket for Atiku unless he wants to try Adamawa governorship thing

Do you know the worst part? The recharge card didn't even have any sign of MTN. It was a total APC Take over. No sign of MTN at all. When I first saw it , I thought APC has started selling recharge cards.
