CodeTemplarr:Cumulative interest on acquired loan over a long period of time, I guess. |
AMINDA:The problem is that, it is not the government or their relatives that are being slaughtered like Bush meat every day in Kwara. So they can afford to claim that Kwara is safe even with the monumental bloodletting going on there, because them and their relatives are well heavily guarded by fierce looking security men(that is for the few relatives that are still in nigeria o, because majority have flown abroad to enjoy better societies). It is the helpless poor masses that are slaughtered mercilessly almost on a daily basis. So, we cannot move on just because the government says Kwara is safe, when there are hundreds of helpless poor masses being slaughtered, whose opinion is different from that of the government. |
How is he still alive? Or does he have the stomach of a crocodile that is so acidic that it can digest almost anything? |
I can imagine the instant heightened alertness of the Secret service operatives, just incase. |
AMINDA:You know, some of these guys have never experienced what good governance entails in their entire life, no thanks to successive military regimes and corrupt democratic regimes in Nigeria. This is why politicians do anyhow in this country and get away with it. This is why you will see politicians behaving like demigods and people see it as normal. Successive military regimes and corrupt democratic regimes has wired the mentality of many Nigerians to see leadership anomalies as ok and acceptable. Imagine a supposed sane individual asking why Wike should not have houses worth over 3billion naira abroad, this is apart from the ones he has in Rivers state and Abuja, and his only justification is that he has been a governor and minister. And this is why the circle of bad leadership and corruption never ends in this country. Just imagine if this individual is given the opportunity to also lead his state as the governor, you think he will not also buy 3 or 4 houses in Newyork for his wife and children, all from state purse, being that he sees it as normal. |
promami:The END does not justify the MEANS. This can never be a fine lesson in good leadership, it can only be a fine lesson in the kind of leadership we operate in Nigeria. Have you thought of what is the alternative forgone in other to in quote "take care of his people"? There is no dictator that did not take care of his people, I mean even the worst of dictators like Hitler still took very good care of his people, that is why no matter how wicked they are, they still have a set of people who would cheer them and wish that they remain in power forever. But the problem is, what is the alternative forgone, in other to take care of "his people"? Who are these his people? Is he using his personal wealth or the wealth of an entire state, meant for the development of the entire state to take care of this "his people", to the detriment of the entire state? However, I still love the guy for many other reasons, but good leadership is never one of the reasons cause he does not have it, he can only thrive in an environment of brute force and dictatorship. |
Image123: ![]() You went for the jugular with that JW bombshell. |
Fiscus105:The respect does not come from just being tough bro. It comes from having the battle ready arsenal and financial muscle too to face the consequences if things go sour. A lot of leaders like Ghadafi, Saddam and even our own African revolutionaries like Thomas Sankara, etc were all tough, but because the West knows they didnt have the battle ready arsenal to match their toughness, they still messed them up. You will notice how respectful Trump was to the North Korean president when he hosted him during his first tenure. He is also very respectful to Chinese president and of course to Russian president. These are leaders that are not only tough but also have the military arsenal to cause massive collateral damage if they are messed with. It can be suicidal to be acting tough when you don't have what it takes to confront the consequences. |
Gotocourt:You should have your name in Guiness book of records. ![]() |
Tinubumustgo:No matter how terrible a leader may be, there will still be people who will be benefitting greatly from his government, wether by hook or crook. Wether through appointments, through personal or family relationship, through friends of friends, through relatives etc. That is why it is not strange to see people wgo will still line the streets to cheer them, wether rain or sun. While many others were suffering, there are people who became millionaires and billionaires through Abacha's regime, wether through hook or crook. Same thing with Buhari and even the present Tinubu's regime. |
classicfrank4u:Excellent question. This is what everyone handling this case should be investigating, because the answer to this question will not only solve this particular case, but will also prevent cases like this from happening in the future. |
udemzyudex:As much as I agree that federal might is powerful, State government power is no joke too. Especially for economic vibrant states like Rivers, Lagos, Kano etc. It greatly depends on who is wielding the state government power. For instance, a Tinubu as governor or a Wike as governor or an El rufai as governor and their likes, would have successfully fought the federal might to submission. |
Some things you hear in this country just makes you wonder. |
GOFRONT:It was very probably a free for all fxxk already. But now it will be a "no holds barred" fxxk. |
MrSundry:Never mind. All it takes is for one major crude export trunk line to go ablaze and the entire political madness by both the federal government and the supreme court will be cured instantly. Sense of reasoning will immediately fly back into the federal government's skull. The people of the region are still quietly observing. Just to make sure when the economic chaos starts in the country it will be clear to everyone both nationally and internationally that they were sufficiently pushed to the wall. |
Pennywise2:You don't know how many low lives are on Nairaland. This app has one of the largest congregation of idiots in one app. This is why I no longer wonder why the country is in a mess, because majority of the led are as senseless as most of the leaders. |
Kewtt:But if you go to any embassy and present an affidavit sworn in a court of competent jurisdiction, claiming to the embassy that you are a Spaniard when you are actually a Nigerian, you will be arrested and imprisoned instantly for forgery or falsification. |
Rebelutionary:They will have to align with the policy and ideology of the majority in their party. That's the beauty of having a clearly defined party policy and ideology during election campaigns for all to see and make a choice wether to continue supporting the party or leave to another. Campaign periods in America is a very big deal, because thats when the party clearly makes known its policies and ideology to all, so you clearly know what to expect and either support the party or support another. Not all Democrats voted for the democratic candidate, likewise not all republicans voted for the republican candidate. People voted for the candidate with the policies and ideologies that appeal to them regardless of party affiliations. So YES, there will definitely be some republican transgenders. |
hopedey:They actually use every body to play table tennis on a daily basis, especially the poor and helpless masses. |
Africa will be the greatest beneficiary of this cold war between US and EUROPE. That is if the leaders of Africa are wise enough to see the huge opportunity this rift between US and EUROPE creates for them and if they are patriotic enough to exploit it for the benefit of the continent. |
These Federal lawmakers are very terrified at the dismantling of Wike's political structure in Rivers state, they will offer every possible support and solidarity to prevent a total collapse of the structure. This is not because they love Wike or the 27 embattled lawmakers, but simply because their re-election chances is hugely dependent on the structure. Wike personally handpicked all of them, bought forms for all of them and used his structure to get them the positions. So if that structure collapses now, their chances of getting back to the national assembly will be very very slim. |
You are lucky you don't have any real problems in life, so you just want to create an imaginary one. A mere 25+ years old "boy", asking if it is too late to begin a university education? A university education o, not secondary school education o. Okay, let me test your mindset. Please can you state 3 cogent reasons why you think you can't? |
richmond500:If the words are peculiar to it's field, how come people in thesame field still conflict it's interpretation. Like Helpfromabove1 said, they better use simple English words understandable by all to avoid all these controversies. |
Which one be Firstholdco ? Dem for kuku name am Horoscope ![]() |
Blazetrailer:I like this challenge. So that others can learn from the expected fact based intelligent argument void of gibberish and insults. Oya o, zero8zero over to you. Accept the challenge. |
Oblongata:If Nigeria can achieve this, it will boost the image of the country. |
Donaldoni:Years back, It used to be APC saying it was PDP's fault. Now after over 10years it is APC accusing APC of bad governance. It clearly shows these guys have no idea on how to govern a country successfully. They have just been surviving on propaganda. Very funny crop of misfits with no clue on how to govern a country. Very unfortunate. |
Hankim:Some level of stupidity and idiocy don't deserve a response. If you should see the inconsequential characters that write all these kind of rubbish like the one you responded to, you will just spit and pass. |
olatade:Because there is actually no indices. Just a group of kleptomaniacs sucking the country dry and making decisions that best suits their selfish plans. |
Tjra:If every region in Nigeria starts implementing and forcing the adoption of only what their religion permits on all the people in the state, regardless of whether they are members of the religion, and regardless of whether it contradicts the constitution, do you think we will still have a country called Nigeria? |
