Myclubmycash:The way you guys trust this so called EFCC and their likes to battle corruption amongst political bigwigs surprises me seriously. Does Nigeria look to you like a country with a functional antigraft agency? Pls you guys should leave them to continue their work of "anti yahoo-boys", and going after political oppositions. |
onome25:You call snow better weather?? |
Greatex90:Not really the strongest, but very brave, very daring and very aggressive when challenged. |
Aurelius1:I never said anything about the ease of removing Fubara. I am only saying, statements like the one PDP just made could ignite anxiety in Tinubu and make him consider throwing his full weight and federal might behind Wike in the fight. The PDP comment can give the fight a colouration of PDP vs APC instead of Fubara vs Wike or godfather vs god son. That comment at this point in time is not in the best interest of Fubara. |
This is not a smart comment or publication to make at this very dicy time. Especially not a helpful statement for the state governor at this very crucial and challenging time when he still needs the president to stay neutral and not throw his full might behind Wike. Statements like this could make Tinubu very uncomfortable and decide to throw his weight behind Wike. All Wike needs to do is to tell the president that without him (Wike) in control of Rivers affairs, PDP will kick the president out of the control of Rivers state. |
sagitariusbaby:No parasite gets satisfied until it has completely drained its host. No parasite leaves its host willingly except it is deliberately expelled by its host. Nigeria as a country and indeed Africa as a continent need to understand this very clearly and deliberately take measures, put things in place to better herself and expel everyone leeching on us as a country. I repeat, no parasite leaves its host willingly except it has either Completely drained the host or it is forcefully expelled by its host. It is up to us as a country and Africa as a continent to choose if we want to get completely drained or we want to deliberately expell the parasites draining us. |
Depriest2020:Make una continue to freeze, very soon there will be more frozen bodies than people alive .. Una wan use una own hand create zombie apocalypse abi ....continue. |
This high handed fight with SIM may end up being Wike's greatest political mistake. Nature has a way of reminding mere mortals that they are not gods. Especially mere mortals that tend to assume the position of a god. |
Thinktwiceb4:I would have advised you, but when I read your closing words "for now" , I just decided to keep quiet and allow life to advise you. I just hope you don't finally learn the HARD WAY. Pregnancy is your fear today, I just hope HIV will not be your fear tomorrow. |
RepoMan007:The EARTH is the Lord's and the FULLNESS thereof, the WORLD and EVERYTHING that dwells therein. The devil created nothing! Absolutely nothing!! So the raw materials used in making those clothes and shoes the men of God wear and the raw materials used in making apple phones they use are God's creation, they belong to God, so God's children can enjoy bye products of their Father's creation if they choose to. |
UHLmoving:The poorest of the poor senators. It was sent to them as prayers to their mail boxes by the senate president himself. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:I always say to my pals when we discuss world conflicts, any smaller country having misunderstanding with the Big boys (China . Russia . USA . Japan . Britain), should find any other means to settle the issue and never resolve to fight a war with them, even if you are promised support by anybody or any country. I tell them these countries will never openly or directly throw missiles at each other even if they promised to support you fight, because they know the consequence will be a world war instantly, with massive loss to all involved. The best they will do is assist you with money and weapons but they will never go into direct military confrontation against each other because of you. At the end of the day, you will be the one doing your fighting by your self and bringing heavy destruction to your country and loss of life, while your supporters that pushed you to war will sit comfortably in their country sympathising with you and holding fruitless meetings up and down. At the end of the day you will still resort to negotiation to resolve the matter, but this time it will be with heavy destruction and loss of life already incurred. |
Ginik:Are you sure they are not being mandated to resign by the governor? It may be he does not feel safe having his enemies loyalists closely surrounding him. He wants to replace them with his own clique he can trust. Just my thoughts anyway. |
BigIyanga:This is not even greed, this is wayward behaviour. When you don't give a damn about how your actions affect others. You just believe life is about you and your satisfaction. |
abhosts:I think there was a much earlier and much weightier deal/agreement between Tinubu and Buhari on who will occupy Aso villa after Buhari's term in office. And that was the reason Tinubu gave his full support to buhari in 2015, knowing it was the "turn" of the North at the time after 6years of Southern presidency, otherwise he himself would have contested at the time. I want to also believe that buhari conceded to that agreement not willingly but after severe pressure from Tinubu and his political allies. |
Pakute:But even wike fought the people that picked him from the "gutter" too. |
Dbarrzx:All the people accompanying him are Wikes staunch loyalists and inner caucus men. So he is most likely going to meet Wike in Abuja to make peace. |
gabazin080:Nothing would have been wrong with that if we did not have a Federal Character law. I think what Nigeria needs to do is scrap the Federal Character law. So that a president will be at liberty to appoint all his cousins and family members if he likes and if he feels they are the only set of people he trusts to get the job done without breaking any law. |
NotoriousBiggyS:No it won't. Tariff is high now. By the time VAT is deducted from that 5k contribution, you will be left with about 4,600 or 4,700. How many units do you think that can get you? To last you for a whole month of water pumping. Atleast, and I repeat, atleast 2k per flat should be the monthly contribution. Remember that immediately they pay you that 1k, you have no right or authority anymore to stop them from pumping the water or using the water anyhow they want. I repeat, 2k minimum. If they refuse, then they should put it in another person's flat. |
SocialJustice:Blame it on the MODs. They are the ones permitting all sorts of nuisance and trashy talks on the platform. I don't know wether they are scared of banning accounts that pollute the platform just to sustain traffic on the site, which boils down to greed. Placing personal gains above human decency. Ordinary WhatsApp or telegram group accounts, if anyone behaves or talks unruly, the person or group of persons are deleted from the group instantly so others become cautious of what they post on the group. But in Nairaland anything goes. It's unfortunate. |
When you are so evil and have committed all manner of evil that you are now haunted by imaginations of evil repercussions, you begin to live a paranoid life, thinking everyone else not in your evil circle must be planning evil against you. This evil creature will be more comfortable and extremely happy if the security architecture of Nigeria is handed over to Hamas, ISIS, Boko haram or ISWAP. |
And everyday they keep begging for foreign investors to come invest their hard earned money in the country. Is this the kind of lawlessness that the government thinks foreign investors will see and still come down to invest their hard earned money? A country where court rulings are as useless as a birds dung, and can't help you even when you are right. Foreign investors should come so that after investing millions and billions of their hard earned money, one rascal will just wake up one morning and decide to destroy their investments just because you didn't greet him that morning, and even the courts will not be able to save you. No wonder foreign investors are avoiding anything Nigeria. The ones that were here before are all packing their things and running away. |
BloodyDoe:It even takes more guts to harvest joysticks than to steal na. So it should even be more expensive ![]() |
Calabar1stSon:He lives in the West, while you u dey live for Westside (california yo men ). You no see ur bandana? How ur plantain go cheap when ur table strong like dat? ![]() |
It depends on the kind of persons being led. If you are leading already competent persons, then 1 is the way to go.. If you are leading learners or armatures, then you start with 2 and gradually go on to 1. |
But Mr Tinubu quickly gathered his team of attorneys and asked to be added as an interested party in the suit, alleging that Chicago State University might be unable to fully protect his interest as the owner of the records being sought. The above statement got me laughing really hard ![]() Please Atiku and Obi, you people will not rest until you give my president heart attack abi ![]() Now even when the president is sleeping and you just whisper in his ears Chicago! Chicago! Certificate! Certificate! , he will jump up and start mobilising lawyers from every nook and cranny to be on standby for counter defence. ![]() |
For several years, I have consistently maintained the position that the fuel subsidy had to go. This once beneficial measure had outlived its usefulness. The subsidy cost us trillions of Naira yearly. Such a vast sum of money would have been better spent on public transportation, healthcare, schools, housing and even national security. Instead, it was being funnelled into the deep pockets and lavish bank accounts of a select group of individuals. Did my president just say the above? I laugh!!!!! Who fought Jonathan tooth and nail in 2015 to ensure subsidy is not removed? And even called removal of subsidy a big fraud and a deliberate act to punish the poor. Na wa oo. |
SmartPolician:Muslim Leaders? Who are the Muslim leaders? Muric Prof or El Rufai or Isa Pantani or who? Do you think it is by coincidence that most of this violent acts occur after their Friday meetings? Who do you think they go to listen to every Friday in their meetings before going out to wreck havoc? Their juniors or their leaders? |
Beverlyjean:You should not be surprised by the number of senseless people that liked his post? If the constitution permitted buhari to contest for a 3rd term in office, believe me, he will still win. Unfortunately in Nigeria, there is a huge base of people who are acutely stupid and incapable of being reasonable in judgement either as a result of Religious fanatism, Tribalism, or Selfish interest. This is partly the reason why we get the kind of leaders we have and also why the leaders don't have any sense of responsibility to the citizens, because they know that no matter how stupidly they perform in office, there will still be a huge base of senseless and unreasonable people out there that will support and vote them, all he needs to do is to just tickle their Religious, Tribal or selfish interest and they will follow him like morons. |
Though some may be going through genuine issues that hinder or make them incapable of paying back as at the promised time. But believe me, a lot of times it's total "INDISCIPLINE" ,"IRRESPONSIBILITY " and "SELF CENTEREDNESS", the same attitude that made them borrowers in the first place. A lot of people, especially in this part of the world believe their problems and challenges are paramount and deserve to be completely handled first before any consideration can be given to any other persons problem, regardless of whether they are owing the other person or not and regardless of how pressing the other persons problem is compared to theirs. So even when they have your money to pay back, they will immediately hold back if they have any other thing to do with it. Some others too just feel they need money more than you. Just because they don't see you troubled, they think you don't have any need for money, they feel you have more than enough so no need paying you back the money they borrowed from you. Pure "INDISCIPLINE " ,"IRRESPONSIBILITY " and "SELF CENTEREDNESS ". |
Senioreddy:Do you call France elsewhere? You are like a man that moved from one room in a 4bedroom duplex to another room and you think you are in another building or another house ![]() When it comes to global business and partnership, France, US and Brits are one block. And guess who controls that block? - The US ![]() The US or the Brits if they have issues with Nigeria can ask France to freeze or halt Nigerians investments in France or any business tie they have with France and France will instantly do that without thinking twice. You can only say elsewhere if he begins to do business with Russia, China, India and the likes. |
