Great jubilation I must say.

Wike the Rivers state governor is now currently the most hated politician due to his crude and cruel political methodology. With the current gloomy political atmosphere in Rivers ( I am in Rivers right now), the electorate has sworn to take their pound of flesh from Wike and ensure his protege Sim Fubara loses the Rivers guber in a few days. They seem to be all out.

Wike definitely will expect the APC administration (if they win at the courts) to appreciate and protect him for killing his own people, bribing INEC staff with dollars and mutilating results that have left even many APC stalwarts and supporters shocked at his debased level of electoral cruelty and ruthless rigging machinery. The Rivers results are at the forefront of contestation even both by the people and opposition parties. What will be his fate going forward?

A petition for Wike to be denied VISA (in case he decides to become a fugitive and run away from justice) has garnered over 300,000 signatures online. Will the ruling party protect Wike if they win at the courts, will he be given an appointment so that he can continue to have his hands in the cookie jar? Or will he negotiate the thrashing of the EFCC cases hanging on his neck, so he can be allowed to enjoy his loot in peace?

All eyes are on Wike. The coming weeks and months are pregnant with a lot of interesting political intrigues and I am enjoying it. Fingers crossed.
