Ukraine will come out of this stronger.
Donbas will be a stalemate.
Russia suffered worse destruction during World War 2 but still emerged victorious and stronger. So will Ukraine. |

Kingsnairaland: What Nonsense lol
Russia is not even talking about ceasefire yet this Ukraine handlers are already suggesting it lol.
Clowns.
Remember when USA general called Russia General begging for Russia to end the war.
It’s a Russian victory, and it must have been hard for Ukraine (who almost never report losses or defeats) to admit to 1,700 surrendering. Maybe they felt it would guarantee more military aid. It's like you have comprehension issues. Ukraine said they won't concede any part of their territory. More woes for Russia. US and NATO have no qualms arming Ukraine for as long as it takes. They just want to be sure that the Ukrainians themselves were not tired of fighting. For instance, very early in the war, Biden offered to evacuate Zelenskyy from Kyiv when the city was almost invaded. But he refused rather asking for alms. Russia have been accusing the West of dragging the war. So this proves them wrong after all. |

successmatters: The violence is fuelled by those who don't want to hand over power in 2023. They are creating an excuse to extend the election. Will you shut up Your homeland is burning and you are desperately looking for who to blame aside your own people. How irresponsible! If elections don't hold in the yeast at all, does it change anything |

fydence: Smh...chai... Comrade
You obviously don't know what's going on. Russia is not like the US. Russia is winning the important battles.
About 90% of the east which accounts for about 70 to 80% of Ukraine's revenues and electricity supply are under Russian Control. This includes Mariupol a major sea port, azovtal an important industrial complex, Kherson and now Severodonesk. These are strategic wins.
Russia is effectively cutting eastern Ukraine off in addition to Crimea... So who needs a non effective Kyiv. Of course the Sanctions are not working...na only Kyiv go come beg by themselves.
But it's good that both you and CNN somehow seem to know the mind of Putin sha. Mariupol is in ruins and is currently useless to anybody. Kherson is still being contested. Russia don't control the airport. The battle of Severodonetsk just begun. Russia will meet their nemesis there. For the past 8 years, Eastern Ukraine has been in crisis with a third of the territory under separatists. Yet Ukraine has been economically ok all the while. You need to stop sniffing Putin's shiiit. By the way, I rely on Al Jazeera for me news about the war. |

atmy1: But as the war continues, Mr. Biden should also make clear to President Volodymyr Zelensky and his people that there is a limit to how far the United States and NATO will go to confront Russia, and limits to the arms, money and political support they can muster. It is imperative that the Ukrainian government’s decisions be based on a realistic assessment of its means and how much more destruction Ukraine can sustain.
New York Times editorial Sorry to disappoint you. This war may drag on for years. Ukraine may get more sophisticated weapons from the West. The West have been looking for this golden opportunity to punish Russia for decades. The UK have a special axe to grind with Russia. They will never let this opportunity slip away. |

atmy1: Why will Russia want to occupy Ukraine instead of just taking the pro-russian donbass and destroying the rest. If Russia occupied Kiev, it will be more costly because they will need to rebuild it with a hostile population and Putin knows this. Let me tell you what Russia is doing: 1. Take Donbass which is pro-russian anyway 2. Destroy all the Nazis in Donbass and reduce their capabilities elsewhere 3. Reduce the capability of Ukraine to make war by bombing it's military facilities and infrastructure
Imagine a full take over of Donbass, complete seas blockade of a devastated Ukraine: 1. Russia leaves the responsibility of rebuilding Ukraine to their western allies 2. Russia gains a priceless territory, oilfields, ports, and the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.
Life has never been this blissful. The Donbas will remain a stalemate as it has been since 2014. Russia can never come near Odessa. It's a port city sitting pretty in Ukraine unlike Mariupol that was enmeshed in separatist territory. Russian blockade of the Black Sea will soon be over when Ukraine gets long range missiles. Russia will seriously groan under sanctions until it leaves all of Ukraine. The sanctions are not going anywhere. |
