THE OBSCENITY OF TRADOMEDICAL PRACTITIONERS/VENDORS IN THE STREET OF PORT HARCOURT.

It is with a great concern and worry I write to bring to your notice of the menace of indecent and X-rated mode of advertisement by the tradomedical practitioners/vendors on the streets of Port Harcourt and Rivers State at large.

These people, in their bid to market their products, use all sort of indecent and obscene languages to the hearing of underage and school children without any iota of caution and censorship. They do this with the loudest public address system to the hearing of the even kids at their home.

The untold effects of this obscenity on our children is better imagined than experienced.

Moreover, the noise pollution they cause is unbearable, especially at the bus stops/junctions like Rumuola, Rumuokwuta, Eleme Junction, Oil mill bus stop, Wimpy, Mile one etc.

I plead that you use your good office to stop this ugly trend in the state.

It actually affects everyone in Nigeria. On Thursday, all the trucks heading to the east via Rivers State had to stop at Port Harcourt to observe the “sit at home” warning. They lost 24hours. If you know the cost of one hour in such businesses, you can then quantify the cost to Nigeria. It’s funny when we think it affects the South East alone. I did a project on the cost of traffic jam to a state government in school and you can’t imagine the high cost. I wish this will stop. I live in PH and I’m losing money on weekly basis over this.

May all the supporters of this regime share from the tragedies and the good of the regime. May what we support come to us. May what we condemn go far away from us. This regime is evil in all standards.
