BrightForYou: Please did the physics questions have many calculations, or just straight forward questions? I'm trying so hard to cram some formulae here. I wish you success There were more of theory based questions than calculations.. The calculatory aspects are very simple: Calculations on rms current, kinetic energy, gas laws, reflection of sound waves etc |

Okay...
I wrote my exam today and the questions were ridiculously simple..
You guys don't need to stress out yourselves, the questions are very easy..
Those I remember:
BIOLOGY 1. Amoeba belongs to which kingdom? 2. Which Blood group always exhibits heterozygousity? 3. What is eutrophication? About 3 questions came out from Evolution.. Then you guys should study the diagrams of euglena , and the plant and animal cell thoroughly
5. Which vascular tissue conducts manufactured food? 6. Function of the pulmonary artery 7. Questions on food web and food chain
CHEMISTRY 1. What is liquid nitrogen used for? 2. Shape of the p orbital 3. simple stoichiometric calculations 4. Why aluminium is not used to store NaOh 5. Which alkali is used in the manufacture of liquid soap? 6. Isotopy.
PHYSICS 1. Cloud formation results from? 2. Questions on electricity, a. c circuits and gas laws 3. Calculations on vectors, motion etc. 4. What is the hydrometer used for? 5. Functions of the electroscope?
That's all I remember guys.. Good luck
We were given a rough sheet for calculations..

DrBESTJC: B is the answer.
REASON: The reaction with tetraoxosulphate(vi)acid and iron rust(Fe2O3) is an acid-base reaction or neutralisation reaction because SALT...Fe2(SO4)3... and WATER is formed.
Equation of the reaction:
3H2SO4(aq) plus Fe2O3(s) ---> Fe2(SO4)3(aq) plus 3H2O I hope you know that Iron rust is Hydrated Iron(III) Oxide, Fe2O3. nH2O |

DrBESTJC: I think Orezy5's explanations are very clear. The question is saying that: ONE(which is singular) out of the(many) SCHOOLS OF THOUGHT suggests(singular subject attracts singular verb) selective marking of errors.
Let us analyse this further, you know that there can be many SCHOOLS OF MEDICINE, or MANY SCHOOLS OF TECHNOLOGY just as we have many SCHOOLS OF THOUGHT..... Also the (ONE OF) rule of concord states that wherever ONE OF appears in a sentence, the next noun should be PLURAL but the next verb SHOULD BE SINGULAR.
Example: One of the gamblers(not gambler) stands(not stand) a good chance. Exactly Bro.. |
Education › Re: 2018/2019 Admission Process Thread Guide by Orezy5(m): 1:11pm On Feb 13, 2018 |
DrBESTJC: JAMB ENGLISH
Choose the correct option.
One of the ............. selective marking of errors. A) school of thought suggests B) schools of thought suggest C) school of thoughts suggested D) schools of thought suggests
Explanations needed. D is Correct.. The question is from Relative Concord.. I really don't know how to explain, but let's take a look at the statement: 'ONE OF' means that there are more than one School of thought, so we have: ONE OF the Schools of Thought: for the second part: There are many schools of thought, but ONE of THEM SUGGESTS: (Remember, subject/verb agreement in Concord. ONE is singular, therefore it goes with a singular verb.) So, we have: ONE OF the schools of thought SUGGESTS selective marking of errors... I hope it was clear enough |
