Hello,

My application is 12weeks old now. I applied from London but was refused after 2weeks. Reasons being my immigration status outside my country of origin and me having significant family ties in Canada - I don't have any family member in Canada though and I am legally resident in the UK. However, I reapplied and explained everything but I am yet to hear from them after 12weeks. Has anyone experienced this kinda delay? Eligibility not yet started on the tracker, GCMS notes requested for the ongoing application but it came back almost empty. GCMS notes for the refused application not out yet.
Send me email so I can share you my experience because I applied from UK too and got it.

Hi, I am in the same dilemma, I have gotten my PCC from Nigeria but waiting for my PCC in the UK where I currently live, I want to clarify, Can I go ahead without including the UK PCC in my application? Please let me know, Thank you .
Please go ahead. PCC is not needed for study permit application from UK. I know this because I just got my study permit approval and I applied in UK. Good luck

Hi guys...wishing everyone ppr soon!!
I wanna ask sth pls.
My cousin and her husband in the UK want to relocate to Canada.
The husband has finished school and wants to go for his masters in Canada while the wife is still a student and will finish by this time next year. Also, the husband has work permit in the UK.
Please, how are they gonna apply to come to Canada from the UK? They want to start the visa application now.
Thank you so much for your suggestions and advice🙌🏾
They will need LOA, and POF. Their chances are high if they can get all necessary documents ready.

I tired oooo. I submitted June 20, had my biometric July 7. I later went ahead for upfront medical Aug 7, then uploaded the e-medical form through webform Aug 8, got medical passed through application tracker Aug 11. I have been bombarding them since Aug 14 to know update. They only updated it on my application tracker but it still shows eligibility and background verification in progress. My school resumes next week. I have even pleaded with my supervisor to help defer my admission. I'm really tired.....
I am positive that this would end in your favor. Only that you will join us in January. God is faithful

Hello, I’m new here and wanted to get some insight. I am thinking of wanting to sponsor my younger sister for a 1 year program in Canada (we are looking at Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island). However my sister is 21 and is finishing a diploma program. She does not have a job because she is a full time student. No marriage or properties or business and no substantial money.

What are the chances of approval if all proof of funds are from the sponsor? There will be nothing in my sisters name. I’m planning on doing everything.

Is it helpful if her sponsor is US based?
I am pretty sure it’s not going to be an issue. 21 is young and not really expected to possess much. Give it a try but make sure the documents and application are well detailed just like that of @Gentlesoul3268

Hello everyone,

Please I need clarification on how scholarships work.

I am a First Class Graduate Nursing student and want to apply for a n MSC in Canada through scholarships, but I'm a bit confused.

Do I need to get an admission first, pay my fees, before looking for a scholarship?

Or I can get a scholarship before applying for the program?

I ask because if I have to get admission and pay the school fees, does it mean the scholarship will reimburse me the scholarship value?

Also, can anyone be kind 3nough to recommend an affordable University for an MSC in nursing
For canada, it’s better to search for supervisor who will then recommend you for a scholarship award before you proceed to apply for admission.

Congrats bro. Pls, is ur PhD fully funded or partial? What sch and course? How much pof did u add?
On your question, I think it's better to book return ticket just when u are about leaving but let it be one u can cancel once u enter finally and then find ways to convert their visas.
Thanks you for your apt response. I will do just that. I got a fully funded PhD placement in Engineering at UofC, Alberta. I did add POF for my accompanying family and I also added extra for relocation expenses and miscellaneous which I clearly stated in my LOE.

I am a graduate of electrical engineering B.Eng. I'm going for Masters in electrical engineering
USA denied my Visa. I am not going for US again.
I see. Research based masters in Canada is highly competitive and it requires a high level CGPA to emerge. I will advice that you keep trying

Getting admission into university is the arduous part of this Canada journey. I have cold-emailed professors according to people's recommended format and in line with professors' research interests. I don tire. I studied Electrical engineering.
What’s your qualifications and what program are you going for? However, don’t relent sending those cold mails and make sure it’s channeled to reflect the interest of the potential Supervisor. I sent over 200 cold mails but got only 5 responses with only 1 finally coming through. Also remember not to rely only on Canada. Try also Australia, Germany, USA (if you have IELTS and GRE) , etc

Hello gurus in the house,

I submitted my application since 3/5/2023, the acknowledgement of my application shows that I have a valid biometric. This was done when applied for visiting visa but was refused then.

Up till now I have not receiving medical request. The status is just showing we are processing your application, we will send you message if there is an update or if we need more information from you.

My resumption is Sept, am really worried now. Please any helpful advise. Is there any this I need to do.
Same here my dear(submitted 28/6/23) and really unfair.

Good evening everyone.
Please if I'm to send my transcript to the School, would I send the hard or the soft copy?
Thanks
You can send either depending on what the department requires. You usually will get a mail from them stating this. If it’s for pre-admission processing then u can send an email of ur transcript from your private email. However, if it’s for post-admission purpose, then u either need to send a certified true copy from ur previous institution or get your institution email them a copy from their official email.

O thanks.

I've registered for courses.

I have accomodations already.

If I get to the school by September ending, wouldn't I allowed in to the school & Canada?

BTW, he can't curse me nor jinxed me thither. I'm thankful for his advice.
I understand you completely. The thoughts of deferring is always too scary. I also am in this same category. I applied since June 28th. Up till now I haven’t heard a hoot from IRCC. I wonder if there are many June applicants with same challenge

I am surprised you are referring someone to agent that run POF when you know it’s not acceptable on this forum. This makes me doubt your genuineness for being here. You even quickly gave out your email to assist a poor fellow earlier. I just hope you are not what I think you are. P.S. Nobody should come to this forum to discuss POF agent here. As far as we, in this forum, are concerned, there is no such thing as POF agent. Please be guided

If contact one of these agents posting here and they helped you to get your PPR then appreciate them privately, please don't come here to start advertising them, its not going to work here, i will remove such post and ban all involved.
Very apt sir

Guru in the house I hail, I will need a candid opinion about this, my sister was refused visa for the sept intake due to insufficient funds it was stated categorically on the NOTE we ordered. Now I’m thinking she should apply for Nov intake in another school since she deferred sept till next September because the program is only in September.
What do you think?
One of the issue is that the money gathered before was returned but we can get them back, do you think if would have a negative impact on the second application?
What do you think I can do as a sister here (PR) to help in her favour
Thank you
The part where you stated “the money gathered were returned” honestly off me. Insufficient fund according to what I have come to realize isn’t just literal. It also means that the VO is not convinced that the money will be available and senses credit demonstration. Make sure you explain your source of funds clearly with evidences. I will advice you differ the admission to next Sept. so you have enough time to plan/organize your application.
