Look at it this way: the iPhone 6s which was released in 2014 is going to get iOS 15! THAT IS SEVEN (7) YEARS OF UPDATES!

The best you'll see on Android, IF YOU SEE AT ALL, IS THREE (3) YEARS (Mind you, I mean MAJOR UPGRADES; e.g FROM ANDROID 11 TO ANDROID 12 STABLE, NOT BETA). GOOGLE PIXEL 2 (2017) GOT ANDROID 10 AS IT'S LAST UPDATE. IT CAME WITH OREO (8.1) OUT OF THE BOX. SAMSUNG'S S10 SERIES WILL GET ANDROID 12 AS IT'S FINAL UPDATE. So, as you can see; only Google and Sammy are trying.

iPhones are definitely not crap. Hell, even the iPhone 5c a friend uses still runs smoothly on it's last update. (iOS 13! FIVE YEARS?). Even Samsung's S8; FIVE YEARS OLDER; NO REACH AM. It got two years (Android 7.1.1 Nougat to Android Pie) and is not even as smooth!

I don't know the point of giving long term updates when the device starts falling apart after a 3rd major update. Overheating, lag, and poor battery life is what you get. These updates render many iphones unusable by the time they get their third major update.

I remember getting a brand new iPhone 7 out of the box last year October, replacing my stolen pixel 2xl. It came with ios13. Immediately I updated it to ios14, all I got was lag and overheating. By a month or 2, battery was already at 93%. I got the iPhone Se 2020 and compared both phones side by side, and they were world's apart in terms of performance. If updates will be taking a toll on a device, I rather not have it, and apple is guilty of this. The iPhone X, 8, and Xs are already showing signs of lag, and iOS 15 will only make things worse.

I really would not touch an iPhone 6s with a poll. The long update is just marketing by apple when majority of the features will not be supported.

Edit: iPhone 5c stopped getting updates at iOS 10. Stop lying through your teeth, man.

So I know it's weird I had to come up here to talk about it. I watched it on a tv show, and I was quite shaken. It happened to the warmest character on the show. She was the most upright character in a show filled with dirty characters. I hear and read a lot of news about rape, and this scene was the closest to shaking me up. Originally, I abhor it and call for stricter punishments. But seeing this scene, capital punishment is having a place in my heart for people who commit this particular crime.

I have a strong and firm stance against rape, and you should too. We really need to do better raising our sons right so they don't become a danger to our daughters.

We can argue long balls is part of the beautiful game, but you'll only win a few games with it and not even get better. Have you seen top teams oof the ball from defence to attack? Between, this sort of long ball is a bug in the game since pes 20 and it couldn't be fixed since Konami used the same engine in pes 21. Remember when players used 4 CBS last year? it's not possible now. There is also a kick off bug. Players who are too impatient to learn the game exploit all these bugs. I've never seen long ball spammers above 1200 ratings. I've not. You can't get to such rating by playing long balls, unless you cheat by nulling a loss, same way you can't see a top team playing long balls as a main style of play.

There are some players who wouldn't mind playing long balls for the whole 90 mins. Trust me, at least they might get a goal or 2. You really cannot defend all longs balls all the time. Sometimes your defenders are on top of their game all through the duration of the match, and sometimes, a long ball bypasses your defence. It's not you fault, it's just that the game is broken.

I see no one is talking about long ball spammers. Like 90% Nigerian of players I've matched online just spam me with long balls. Long ball spamming is similar to shortcut to goal. Shows you why Nigeria is the way it is. Barely any of my opponents I'm sure is a Nigerian play the game the right way, they rather play long balls to Mbappe.

Lmao, aside screen size, nothing else. The 730G and 732G are almost the same CPU with the same GPU. The 4a still gives you the premium feel compared to the Redmi note 10 pro. It's sturdy and doesn't feel like something is going to fall off (opposite feeling I got with the note 10 pro). I mostly owned premium devices in the past. From the Galaxy s2 to s9, then the pixel 2xl, then every iPhone release from the i6 to the XS (bar the X), so when I hold a premium phone blindfolded, I'll tell you it's premium. The 4a falls a bit short, but it still gives you the feel. I've spoilt myself a lot by having premium devices, and I found it difficult to go below. I used the Redmi note 5 pro, and it's one of the last budget phones with premium feel made from metal. Boy! Did I love that device.

Jumia price for the 4a is exaggerated, you'll get a good offer from the offerup thread.

Nice and unbiased review, but personally I love MIUI and practically can't do without it. I have a pixel 3xl that serves as my backup but it's kinda boring for me.
It's sleek and very fast but I love the customization that comes with MIUI and did I also mention the ample developers and custom roms support.

All in all the Pixel 4a is a great device and I know u'll enjoy it.

By the way is the RN10pro up for sale. I might be interested...... lolz

The pixel line gets a lot of custom rom support. Custom ROMs for the pixel are usually stable compared to the Xiaomi phones where even right out of the box, devices are plagued with bugs that wouldn't get fixed after several updates.

Besides, you do not need to change a lot on stock Android, and Android 12 is a massive change with the way theming works now. Magisk modules are enough at this point.

Back into the Xiaomi family with the redmi note 10 pro. Miui reeks of sh!t! Can't wait to unlock the bootloader and install aosp. I just moved from the iPhone XS and animations are smoother on the redmi with 120hz refresh rate switched on. Otherwise, 60hz was laggy! I want to grow into this phone, and back into android in particular. iOS was a great experience as well as a stagnant one that got boring!

Update: after a series of bug-fest on Xiaomi's MIUI and a move to AOSP ROMs that just weren't as stable as that of pixels, I moved to the Pixel 4a yesterday, brand new, and I love it!!! Screen is same size as my former phone (iPhone XS), very comfy to use with one hand (I hope manufacturers continue to make phones that are 6" and below for people with small hands like me).

The Pixel 4a battery is solid (after a battery drain scare). 8-10% per hour SOT, just like the Redmi note 10 pro on 120hz.

I'm already adjusting to 60hz and the pixel 4a seems smooth still, and faster too. Apps stay in background (thank God)! Xiaomi phones are very aggressive with ram management (literally nothing stays in memory, my God).

Android 12 is even better.

Shockingly, performance is better on the pixel 4a. I know a lot of people will argue the Redmi note 10 pro has a better hardware, but there again, google showing us that software is as important as hardware if done well.

Camera on the 4a is on a league of it's own. The single len is enough and better than 4 cameras, again software is king! No Gcam mod is close!!!

These were enough pros for me to jump ship and rightly so, but for a bit steeper pocket.

It was a nice short time with y'all.

Edit: the haptic feedback is like what you get on the iPhone. Redmi note 10 pro? Yuck!

This is not a post to bash a phone I just used, and to be honest, the Redmi note 10 pro is a solid product for its price, but for a little more, the pixel 4a is better is every aspect except for the 120hz display which I find to be a feature that can be overlooked. And oh! Display quality is better on the Pixel 4a too.
