The app is more like fix deposit with higher rates. But is good for offshore investors, rather than tie down money, u get interest while you wait. I just got my money back and ready for next primary market. Made about 98k for the waiting period. Better than 4% savings interest.
Thank you. How is the interest rate calculated? For example if I put 100000 at 10% for 3 months will I get 10000 naira as interest?

Good day everyone. I have gained a lot from this thread. I have a question. I perused the I-invest app and noticed that they did not mention getting the interest upfront except at the maturity date. But from what I read here and elsewhere you get your interest upfront. Please I need clarification about this. Thank you.

My only problem with this solar inverter is that the battery hardly lasts. My friend installed one and before 1 year the battery packed up. Is there a solution to this?

Hello oritna94; the PLAB 1 result was release yesterday, and I passed, I'm now making headway towards moving in to Manchester for PLAB2.
I'm updating you here, so u can be encouraged to proceed. Hopefully ,I'll be going for that in july/August.
Congrats bro. Half way through for you. My IELTS was on the 21st. It was fine except for the reading which was something else. There wasn't enough time. I hope I make the required band score. Congrats once again.

justwise:
I think you will have problems with your financial arrangement, you are earning 300K plus a month less the loan repayment you should be able to save more than 500K a year. Your sponsor sending money to your savings account to be used for visa application is not a good idea. Use the money from your sponsor to repay the loan and keep your salary for visa application

Your sponsor can use azimo or worldremit to send you money they charge less than £2 per transaction with good rate.
Thank you very much. I will do as you said

I think I can help you a bit. I’m a Dr practicing in UK and I went thru Plab pathway.

I will advise that you keep your savings in your salary account for now.
Don’t quote 2m naira as your proposed cost when filling your visa. You should reduce the amount.
Also any money that your mum wants to send to you can be sent via Azimo(it is an app for transferring money, their rate is close to aboki’s own and their charges is negligible. That’s what I always use)
Thank you sir. You are God sent. How can I communicate with you? I need direction and advice on this plab exam.

How much will you be able to save from now to March?

Avoid any unexplained payment into your salary account by all means
Thanks for your answer.
I can save about 500k. But is it ok for the salary account to be zero while I push my savings to my savings account?
Also my sponsor wants to use Western Union to send money to me monthly in lieu of bank transfer which I will keep in my savings account. The charges for transfer is on the high side $75 per transfer. So can she go ahead with Western Union?

Good morning justwise and co. I have been following the thread with keen interest. I plan to travel to the UK early next year in March to sit for the plab2 exam. I want to plan it carefully so as not to have problems. My main issue has to do with my salary account and sponsor. I earn 340k monthly. I'm repaying a Microfinance loan of 1 million of which 106k is deducted from my salary every month. It will end in November this year. By the time I make expenses for family and remove savings to my savings account the account is next to zero.
Secondly my sponsor who is my mum is residing in the U.S. She has agreed to send money to me monthly before I travel. My question is this.
1. Is it ok for my salary account to be next to zero?
2. My sponsor wants to send money via bank transfer which costs $75 each time she does so which is expensive for her. Can she use Western Union or MoneyGram?
3. Is it even alright to transfer money to me monthly without causing problems for the Visa application?
I plan to budget 2million for the trip which includes my air ticket, accommodation exam fee and feeding for 34days.

the writing test is quite easy, you will sure pass it. The cross of most people is the reading test, that test requires some percuniary dynamics, and reading pattern, u have to be an expert at skimming and scanning,
that was the challenge I had, but I got to learn how to tackle it expertly after the exam, However I scaled through.
Master the reading very well, do some practise with the listening, and you won't have problems.

Ieltsonlinetests.com ; that's a website u can go to practise, the exam is simulated and you are timed.
All the best brother, just take your time and target the November PLAB.
Hi. How far with the plab1. When are you taking it. I have been preparing for IELTS and so far, it has been great. I will take it on April 21.

Hello bro, sorry for the late replies. Been overwhelmed with several activities over the past few days/weeks...
The e-mail keeps failing to deliver. We'd have to think of some other way to communicate...
Sorry for the stress. I hope you are adjusting well. Maybe we could communicate via Twitter or Facebook.
