Celebrities / World Class Dj,avicii Dies At 28. by Orochimaru1(m): 7:31pm On Apr 20, 2018 |
Artist, DJ and producer Tim Bergling, a.k.a. Avicii, died this afternoon in Oman, according to a statement from his rep. He was 28. “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii,” the statement reads. “He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.” He had retired from live performing in 2016, citing health reasons. He had suffered from health problems for several years, including acute pancreatitis, in part due to excessive drinking. He had his gallbladder and appendix removed in 2014. He posted the following statement on his website last year: “WE ALL REACH A POINT IN OUR LIVES AND CAREERS WHERE WE UNDERSTAND WHAT MATTERS THE MOST TO US. For me it’s creating music. That is what I live for, what I feel I was born to do. Last year I quit performing live, and many of you thought that was it. But the end of live never meant the end of Avicii or my music. Instead, I went back to the place where it all made sense – the studio. RELATED The next stage will be all about my love of making music to you guys. It is the beginning of something new. Hope you´ll enjoy it as much as I do.” Bergling was born in Stockholm on Sept. 8, 1989. He began DJing as a teenager and released his first single in 2007. He released a large number of singles and remixes in the following years and rapidly built a reputation as a live act. He broke through with his 2010 hit “Seek Bromance,” which charted in several European countries; he signed a publishing deal with EMI the same year. He explained his chosen DJ name as “the lowest level of Buddhist hell,” chosen because his real name was already being used by another Tim Bergling on MySpace. His 2011 single “Levels,” which was later nominated for a Grammy Award, vaulted him into the mainstream, charting in multiple European coutnries and topping the chart in his native Sweden. “Sunshine,” his 2012 collaboration with David Guetta, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Recording. In September of that year, he became the first DJ to headline New York’s prestigious Radio City Music Hall; at those two shows, he previewed a new song with Mike Posner called titled “Stay with You.” His proper debut album, “True,” was released on September 2013, much of which was previewed during his headlining set at the Ultra Music Festival earlier that year. The albu featured “Wake Me Up,” a collaboration with Aloe Blacc, which topped the charts in multiple countries across the world and was No. 1 for a record 14 weeks on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Songs chart; it was also the U.K.’s fastest-selling single of 2013. Other singers on the album included Adam Lambert and Audra Mae. However, as his popularity rose his health declined. He was hospitalized in March 2014 and cancelled several tour appearances; not lon after, he collaborated with Carlos Santana and Wyclef on the official FIFA World Cut Anthem “We Will Find a Way.” Also that year he produced a song on Coldplay’s album “Ghost Stories.” He released his second full-length, “Stories,” in October 2015. In March of 2016 he performed at Ultra Music Festival, premiering new material, but 10 days later announced that he was retiring from performing. He made a final live appearance in August in Ibiza. In December he parted ways with longtime manager Ash Pournouri. In August of 2017 he released a six-track EP entitled “Avici,” and followed a month later with a full-length documentary entitled “True Stories,” which was largely about his retirement. source: variety.com/2018/music/news/avicii-dead-at-28-1202772767/

Computers / 14-year-old Japanese Boy Arrested For Creating Ransomware by Orochimaru1(m): 7:30am On Jun 08, 2017 |
Japanese authorities have arrested a 14-year-old boy in Osaka, a prefecture and large port city, for allegedly creating and distributing a ransomware malware. According to a reliable security report, this is the first such arrest in Japan which involves a Ransomware-related crime. Ransomware is a piece of malware that encrypts files on a victim's computer and makes them inaccessible until the victim pays a ransom, usually in Bitcoins, in order to get the decryption keys for the encrypted files. Ransomware has been around for a few years, but currently, it has become a major cyber threat for businesses and users across the world. Just last month, the WannaCry ransomware hit over 300,000 PCs within just 72 hours, wreaking havoc worldwide. The recent arrest came after the teenager, who is a third-year junior high school student, created a ransomware virus and uploaded its source code on the Internet, according to multiple Japanese media. The student, who admitted to the allegations, combined free encryption software to develop his own ransomware infection and then uploaded it to a foreign website and even taught people to download and use it to spread further for financial gain. The teen also advertised the website through social media, including Twitter, telling users "I made ransomware. Please feel free to use it," the sources said. According to Japanese police, the teen's ransomware allowed a downloader to infect victims' computers, demanding payment in digital currency. His ransomware framework has been downloaded over 100 times. The authorities have not revealed the identity of the teenager, but have informed that the student just took about 3 days to create the ransomware program using his personal computer. The student also told the authorities that he learned to code on his own and created the ransomware out of curiosity in order to become famous. The Japanese police spotted the ransomware during "cyber patrolling" in January and confiscated the teen's computer after searching his house in April. Learn How to Code — Though it is never recommended to develop a malware and spread it for fun, financial gain or other purposes, learning to code is not a crime. If you're looking to 'learn how to code' and seeking a career as an expert-level programmer, you should know how to play with codes and make your own. We have introduced an ultimate programming bundle that includes ten online training courses that could elevate your programming skills straight from beginner to advanced level. The Ultimate Learn to Code 2017 Bundle, comes with lifetime access, offers you professional training courses on Python, Ruby, Java, iOS, HTML, CSS, AngularJS and other programming languages that are in high demands.

Webmasters / Why You Should Use Incognito Mode When Browsing (3 Reasons) by Orochimaru1(m): 2:27pm On Oct 12, 2016 |
In web browsing, Incognito Mode permits you to browse web pages
without altering your privacy online. Incognito mode deletes history right
away after quitting your browser. It will automatically erase your
shopping histories and search history as you browse the web, and won’t
enable any tracking of cookies.
WHY INCOGNITO MODE?
Do you share your private PC, and your mobile phone with buddies and
families? Do you make use of the general public Wi-Fi or Unprotected
community web services (cybercafe)? Are you looking to be confidential
when browsing the net? If yes, Incognito mode gives you the complete
access with out using VPN. It hides your online activities so that no one
can track what you do online.
Interestingly, many web browsers comes with this feature and I’ve
gathered some fascinating reasons why you should browse in incognito
mode (when doing sensitive things online). Beneath are the listed
reasons:
1. MAINTAIN ONLINE PRIVACY
When you're making use of your friend’s phone or laptop; browse with a
cyber café, make use of shared networks etc. As one of the most safety
measures recounted here, it’s really useful to hold sensitive small print
specifically passwords, banking small print personal to oneself.
Since it’s a 3rd party means, Incognito mode is the excellent choice to
protect individual data and saved browaing will probably be erased
instantly after quitting the browser. Despite the fact that, incognito mode
doesn’t guarantee full data safeguard however combined with telling
websites to not store your password and utilising a dash of common
sense, incognito mode turns into a powerful type of defense.
2. USING MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS AT ONCE
This one will wow you. Are you unsure if it’s viable to login into
websites with multiple accounts? Normally, you can't login to different
Google account in one web browser but with incognito mode, it’s handy
to accomplish this. You could even login into two different facebook
accounts on the same browser. That is made possible as cookies and
caches are usually not being saved. 3. SEARCH ENGINE RESULTS AND RANKING Many don’t understand that search engines like google and yahoo results are served centered on some suggestions like Search historical past, associates and contacts, networks, locations and so on. To get a pure search engine outcome, incognito mode is required. This means search engines will deliver unbiased results not according to your previous search histories. Few days ago, just a little argument popped out between a fellow blogger and friend. I informed him his website is rating higher than a some high authority website on the grounds that his search results are biased and served based on prior search influence and search historical past but he disagreed saying his search engine optimization is at work. I tried to convince him but he refused to accept until i revealed this to him. If you are a blogger or website owner and think your site is really ranking higher than many other sites, just do yourself a favor by trying to search some of those keywords that ranked high on your phone with another person's phone or in a cyber cafe. There, you will see what i mean. So most times, search results depends on what cookies saved on your browser. Meanwhile, incognito browsing has its disadvantages as well and that will be available in subsequent articles. I advise you to apply incognito mode only when you are carrying out sensitive tasks online or if your phone or PC is used by many people.

Travel / Things To Know About Snake Island by Orochimaru1(m): 3:16pm On Oct 07, 2016 |
Off the coast of Brazil sits Ilha de Queimada Grande , or as it’s known in colloquial English, Snake Island. Comprising roughly 110 acres of trees, the island is uninhabited and travel to it is expressly forbidden by the Brazilian navy. Why? Because Queimada Grande is home to hundreds of thousands of golden lanceheads, the snake pictured above. Unique to Queimada Grande, the golden lancehead typically grows to be about two feet long but at times can grow to nearly double that length. And its venom is poisonous. Very, very poisonous. Generally, lanceheads are responsible for 90% of snake bite- related fatalities in Brazil. The mortality rate from a lancehead bite is 7% if the wound goes untreated — and as high as 3% even if treatment is given. The venom causes a grab bag of symptoms which includes kidney failure, necrosis of muscular tissue, brain hemorrhaging, and intestinal bleeding. Scary stuff, to be sure. For Snake Island, the picture is even scarier. The data above does not include bites from the golden lancehead, as there are no official records of a golden lancehead-caused fatality due to the de facto quarantine on the Brazilian island. A chemical analysis of golden lancehead venom suggests that the snake is much more dangerous than its continental cousins: golden lancehead viper venom is faster acting and more powerful — perhaps five times more powerful. Two foot-long snakes with such powerful venom, combined, means that getting close to one carries with it a high risk of death. And getting close to one is all but certain on Snake Island. Even the most conservative estimate suggests that the golden lancehead population density on Queimada Grande is one per square meter; others suggest a population as high as five per square meter. Regardless, as one site points out, even at the lower estimate, “you’re never more than three feet away from death.” "Between one and five snakes per square meter" might not be so terrible if the snakes were, say, two inches long and nonvenomous. The snakes on Queimada Grande, however, are a unique species of pit viper, the golden lancehead. The lancehead genus of snakes is responsible for 90 percent of Brazilian snakebite-related fatalities. The golden lanceheads that occupy Snake Island grow to well over half a meter long, and they possess a powerful fast-acting poison that melts the flesh around their bites. Golden lanceheads are so dangerous that, with the exception of some scientific outfits, the Brazilian Navy has expressly forbidden anyone from landing on the island. Locals in the coastal towns near Queimada Grande love to recount two grisly tales of death on Snake Island. In one, a fisherman unwittingly wanders onto the island to pick bananas. Naturally, he is bitten. He manages to return to his boat, where he promptly succumbs to the snake's venom. He is found some time later on the boat deck in a great pool of blood. The other story is of the final lighthouse operator and his family. One night, a handful of snakes enter through a window and attack the man, his wife, and their three children. In a desperate gambit to escape, they flee towards their boat, but they are bitten by snakes on branches overhead. 1 Like
