My Principal told us that she receive a particular form for all the teachers in our school but she left it at home that we should be all present in skul tomorrow so that we can fill the form and submit at once. we were trying to know what the form is all about but she was unable to explain it ,she only ask us to go to board and and get our file number. so I think maybe the form required file number

RIVERS STATE GOVERNMENT IS UP TO DATE IN TERMS OF PAYMENT OF SALARIES ---FINANCE COMMISSIONER Rivers State Government has declared that that it is up-to- date in terms of salary payment to her work-force. In an interview on Tuesday, the State Commissioner for Finance, Dr Fred Kpakol informed that only staff who are yet to do their biometric are yet to be paid. The Finance Commissioner stated that about 75 percent of the State's Workforce have been captured and paid their monthly salaries for the preceding months. He noted: "The moment you do your biometric to authenticate that you are a bonafide civil servant, you get paid. For those who will be captured this month, they will be paid their outstanding salaries. "Rivers State is not owing salaries. The state is doing biometric authentication of civil servants which is a three- month exercise. The exercise ends on July 29, 2016. By then, we will have a comprehensive data of all bonafide civil servants in the state" The Finance Commissioner added that the process for the payment of June salaries has been concluded. In a statement, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu recalled that Governor Wike had directed that only civil servants who have undergone biometric exercise be paid. The statement added that so far, the Rivers State Government has saved N2billion through the highly successful biometric capture of civil servants in the state. Members of the public are therefore advised to disregard falsehood being peddled by defeated politicians through their media associates that the Rivers State Government has defaulted in the monthly payment of salaries. please can someone explain this incidence matter better...its still surprising that after all these years and the old biometric done...someone's name cannot be found in their system.....do they go back to the old payroll to extract ones details before capturing them in incident cases?

They extract information for the old one. In my own case the guy that enter my information in old biometric make mistake with my age, now as they want to extract information from the old one ,they notice that there is age difference. So they ask and I tender my birth certificate

Glory be to God for successful biometric exercise today. Biometric has become a story for me. I am waiting for the salary now. I wish others that are yet to do theirs success . I want to appreciate all of you who has one way or the other give give information here which lead to the success of this activity. Ur right. Pls someone should comfirm d info. It has never happened bfore since d inception of this Biometric exercise for FOUR LGA's to Biometric the same day!

If they like let them fix all the LGAs on a day is not our concern but our concern here is for every genuine teacher to be capture and pay his/her due wages

Update on ppsb biometric, Monday 4/07/2016 is for spillovers, Tuesdays 5/07/2016 is for Emuoha LGA and Asalga .

Is that the only update? So Tuesday public holiday will not affect the biometric?

when I did mine, it was one of the requirement to checkmate those who were paid double. Though the pay slip was just for Jan. To be on a safer side carry your payslip,statement of bank account, first appointment letter, staff Id card, bvn print out, any other card for identification eg national Id, voters card,drivers license. This state has devalued its integrity and standard. A state that pays workers as at when due, last Friday of every month during Odili's and Amaechi's 1st tenure. We know the rapid economic meltdown in the country, but some states are living up to expectations, the likes of Delta, Cross River, Lagos are doing relatively well in terms of workers welfares. It is only in Rivers State that I saw civil servants that voted massively for PDP aspirants no matter the aspirant and his pedigrees. Even the 13000 teachers employed during Amaechi's tenure, voted massively for Wike not minding Amaechi's magnanimity to them. This world is full of intrigues. Let's be steadfast, watch and pray for a better Rivers State, it is God that will perfect this ugly trend.
