dimejalex: sir i have applied to university of Regina but do i need to pay all my tution fee or half of it before leaving nigeria? cos i don't understand it in the school site thanks God bless Have you paid the $500 deposit the school asked to pay when you received your admission? University of regina normally ask for $500 deposit for international students that is non refundable regardless of not been issued SP or not. You can pay the tuition fee or even half or neither not to pay now before you apply for your Student permit. As others will always say here paying your complete tuition or not paying at all does not give you 100 Percent that you will be giving the student permit. All lies in your application , others got their student permit after paying their full tuition, some payed half they were still given, some others didn’t pay at all they were still given and also either of the three did they were not also given. You can also check the school refund policy and check. I also applied for the university as well, still waiting for the admission. Thank you. |

Frankrobbn1: The University of Regina offers flexible programs that are available in three (3) different semesters (Fall, Winter and the Spring). The chances of getting an undergraduate admission strictly depends on your academic qualifications and WAEC results. If you had good grades in your WAEC with the compulsory components (English and Mathematics) not less than C6, you will be given an admission within 4 weeks.
Let me know if you have other questions.
It will end in praise. Okay that’s fine, thank you very much for this information, it will really help. God bless you. |

Frankrobbn1: If the University in Canada requires you to complete an initial deposit in order to secure your seat in the program. Please pay for it and provide proof before applying for your study permit.
It will end in praise Sorry please According to your experience with Regina university, do you know if may be they will require some deposit first before I can apply for the student permit. I need more enlightenment on that, thank you all for your candid reply you are doing great on this trend. |

Frankrobbn1: Upon submitting your application on the University of Regina undergraduate platform, you will receive an email correspondence acknowledging the receipt of your application. You will be required to provide the following documents via email in order to complete the admission process:
1. Application fee of $100.00 Canadian which will be paid via flywire corporation while indicating your student ID. 2. High School Transcript(s) (which is your WAEC print out copy, original scanned certificate and scratch PIN). 3. A copy of your int'l passport. 4. If you have not been in school for over 2 years please briefly describe (a sentence or two is sufficient) what you have been doing since graduation.
Please send all documents in PDF format to international.admissions@uregina.ca.
Please note that applications generally take about 4 weeks to complete (once all the required documents have been received).
Let me know if you have any other questions.
It will end in praise. Thank you very much for this info, I really appreciate it. But I don’t know how often do they give admissions to international student and what my chances might be since I am applying for my undergraduate program. Tonyodg: it’s not compulsory you do so People do it to show financial capability to the VO or your school tells you to pay a tuition deposit Paying your fees doesn’t guarantee you the visa mind you Also check with your school return policy if you intend to do so. Thank you very much, no the school didn’t ask me for that. Although I have not sent the application yet. I just want to be sure if may be I am to pay some deposit to the school before I can apply for my study permit. The school is university of regina |

Frankrobbn1: If you seek my good working knowledge in this process, I would advise that you should forget about Memorial University for your undergraduate studies. The school requirements for Bachelor's degree program are cumbersome and they often require every document to be sent via courier by the issuing body. The funniest part of it all is that they require English proficiency test (IELTS with no less than 6.5 over all band and TOEFL). Having said that, and in a bid to better your study application approval chances, I would strongly suggest you apply to The University of Regina and/or The University of Saskatchewan for her degree program. I have personally used these schools for young Candidates on several occasions whose parents were their sponsors and their study permit application was approved. So save yourself the stress of MUN and take a proactive step by applying to the aforementioned institutions.
In the meantime, please don't hesitate to ask questions should you have any concerns.
It will end in praise. Thank you for this information it will really help, I wanted to apply for my under graduate program in the university of Regina. I completed the application and I am been told to pay the application fee before they can process my application. But I didn’t saw anywhere in the portal where I am to post my documents because they didn’t ask of it. Is it the way they do it there? |

glowingflame7: Taofeek and asunmoGGMU have answered best. We need to change our behaviour, it is not helping the good and innocent at all. The look on foreigners face when you mention that you are a Nigerian here is downcasting many times. The conversation and reception just goes south. They become very suspicious if they are nice and polite. I was in a bus this week, the RTA official came in to check who did not swipe card. Two people in the bus did not swipe and they are both Nigerians. They were speaking our local dialect so I know. And they were still trying to claim right and outsmart the official. Everyone was just looking at them like they fell from outside space. One other guy, I suppose he's a Nigerian left the bus either in disgust or fear. Because police can come and maybe carry all the black guys there. I was really ashamed for them. Their likes are everywhere trying to outsmart others in criminality and it doesn't help the innocent ones. We are tagged together, no visa for Nigerian, Nigerian should not apply. You will see accommodation and job saying African nationality may apply except Nigerians. The thing is that Nigerians out here has really spoilt the reputation of Nigeria. We know all of these normally happens not only in the UAE but other countries, it really creating problems for us and i am not always happy when I see or hear things like this. |

I know Nigerians do a lot out there, but we are not the only one, there is no country that doesn’t commit crime. Please let’s continue to talk about the things related to the topic in this trend, in order for us to help our fellow Nigerians, thank you for your comprehension. |

glowingflame7: Brother that is not exactly true. The only people who were rushing to do their visas were other nationalities. Any Nigerian going to Amer Centre is turned back from reception with "NO visa renewal for Nigerians". Most serious agencies said same too. Visa renewal was being done in a rush for other nationalities though. What you need to understand is that it’s not only Nigerians that was unable to do visa renewals some other nationalities was also faced with the same problem. The reason for all of that we do not know because it was not stated from a verified source. UAE only started issuing visas last month since the ban on visa issuance since March, so probably there will always be a lot of people since March up till now that wants to renew their visas and those that are applying for visa change. |

Do you see the reason why some people weren’t able to renew their visas neither do a change of status? So it was not only Nigerians that was affected by this. They will resolve this soon since they have been given 1 month grace.

On a regular basis we normally get information about QATAR/UAE general visa enquiries here , please stop promoting false information that you aren’t sure it’s correct. It will really not sound nice to hear that most of the things you just promoted here are lies. The UAE embassy in Nigeria condemned that news. At least we can get any information online being true or false. We don’t know until we get it from the right source, we shouldn’t disturb ourselves. |

mryoung16: Hi guys .does anyone has clue on when UAE would lift the ban on Nigeria nationals? UAE didn’t banned Nigeria, the information you got must have been coming from the minister of aviation in Nigeria. He might have made an error when he tweeted that. But the truth is that Nigeria is not banned from the UAE, we are only waiting for the international airspace to reopen that’s all. |

glowingflame7: The validity of visas and entry permits that was extended until the end of December this year has been cancelled. Identity cards that expired on March 1, which were previously considered valid until the end of the year, will now be deemed invalid.
If you are in the country, you have three months to renew your document. Residents and GCC citizens who spent less than six months outside the country will also be given one month for renewal. I think I saw that information this morning, it’s really surprising. |

Ope4Christ: They dubious fellows. They deceive and collect your money and you can't do anything about it. If you call the Police you will loose because they would ask you for your Emirates ID and what right do you have to apply for job with Tourist's Visa? That’s absolutely the truth imagine all of that, it’s not really good , that’s the reason you have to be watchful and wise when searching for jobs there in the Emirates. It would be so unfair if anyone fall victim of that again. |

That is very true @ope4christ and others, we have to know all of these before taking any decision. UAE is not like Europe or America where you get everything so easily and cheap, cost of living is very high and it requires a lot. When you have the income, UAE is one of the most comfortable places to live in just as far the money is there. |
