Cenner: My payment is not yet due. I still have until August 11. My problem is the pre installed apps that are always running in the background hence making the phone to heat up. Pls how do I get the delete them permanently? If they are system apps then you can't... Only way that is even possible is if you root the device.. or you look for a PC software that can be used to debloat Android OS, some are even strong enough to remove GMS. But sha look for athiestandproud post about task killers and quote him there... No be here you suppose carry tecno matter come... @athiestandproud shey i talk am well? |

FavourWrites: Is it better than Redmi 10A? Far better.... The 4/64gb goes for 75k in slot. You can expand the memory with SD card. The 4/128gb should go for 87k.. that is above your budget. |
Phones › Re: Why Are Transsion Devices Always Hanging? by Osasnidas(m): 2:12pm On Jul 04, 2022 |
queenemelda: I am not badmouthing transsion. They make cheap and affordable phones. They make more sales than other phone brands in Nigeria. They can easily be found and their spare parts are always available. But why do transsion phones always hang? And the camera gets bad after a few months. I have even seen a brand new infinix smart 5 and hot 10i hanging. A samsung, pixel, lg, oppo, xiaomi phone can be using the same RAM with a transsion device, but it won't hang. A pixel or samsung with 12mp will take way better photos than a transsion of 64mp. I am just surprised. And its not a matter of mediatek, because samsung and xiaomi use mediatek too. Do the manufacturers do it on purpose or what? Using generic camera sensors: a company not using a generic sensor on their device will surely use it as marketing strategy. If a SoC is cheap and weak you will only see Octa Core(they will hide it) if the SoC is okay it will be Helio G88. This companies you mentioned (samsung, apple) have better software support and optimization for their device so less or no lags at all. And also a company may be guilty of slowing down their device so you can buy another of their device. There is something these guys don't tell us. If i can own a device like Redmi 10c with all the corners that was cut for such an amount and a company is selling a device in the same price range with a very weak SoC, i go vex na. |

wengerman: .since the gurus here discouraged me from nokia c30 ,I want to go for g10 or g11.recommend either of the two.why will nokia used an old unisoc for a recently released phone. You should use the G11 instead... The Unisoc chipset which is the T606 was released last year September, not even a year. Some companies like Samsung even have this chip in one of their budget device. Since you won't be doing much on your phone you should go for this device instead. G11 has a better chipset than the G10. |
Phones › Re: Nokia C30 Or Itel P38 Pro by Osasnidas(m): 11:36pm On Jun 10, 2022 |
wengerman: Nokia g11 uses unisoc also.I am convinced by your arguments but I am confused and don't know what to go for now,I am still consulting you gurus on this forum and just hope to make the perfect choice. The Unisoc in G11 and G21 are recent and also decent and will perform very well since you are going to use your phone basically. |
Phones › Re: Nokia C30 Or Itel P38 Pro by Osasnidas(m): 11:36am On Jun 09, 2022 |
wengerman: thanks for your advice.the performance specs are beast but I need a beast battery and moreover It was released almost two years since it was released so the security and software updates will almost be expiring. Other suggestions are welcome Nokia 3.4 has a processor that manages battery very well if you don't upgrade it until Android 12 is available, my current Nokia 3.4 runs on Android 11 and will soon get android 12. however there are other phones you could try like the Nokia G11 or G21. which are their recent phones with 5000mah and they can serve you because they come clean with pure android and a 90hz refresh rate. Also you could also take a look at Redmi 10C which in my opinion is a decent device. |

wengerman: expansiate more on the not built for heavy usage because I don't game ,my heavy usage is in browsing for long hours and reading ebooks and materials offline which other options do u suggest .I am going for them because of their battery and they both have good customer care such as calcare and nokia care in case issues such as screen and the rest comes up . The Unisoc SoC is built on a 28nm.. even the big battery you are banking on won't last for long... The phone will overheat and charging would be slow. If I am to advice you, you shouldn't use a phone that comes with a micro USB cable at this current stage where smartphones and the apps they carry are getting smarter. A phone with a type c charger would be okay. Someone above me said Nokia 3.4, I strongly agree with him because it's what I use currently, if you are to go with it, do not upgrade to the latest OS. |
Phones › Re: Nokia C30 Or Itel P38 Pro by Osasnidas(m): 5:24am On Jun 09, 2022 |
I would go for Nokia because of more 4G bands and OS upgrade. Both of them runs on the same SOC. But however you could look for better options because I don't think they are built for heavy use. |

You should buy the Nokia 3.4 since it has a better SoC, Ram and ROM within the both of them. If you do, do not attempt to upgrade the os because it's buggy and nokia is yet to fix it with a maintenance patch. The recently released Redmi 10C is also a good buy if you have the money.
You should google the specs of those phones to better guide you. |

Dclique: Never update the software of your nokia phone. Leave it as it is. Updates often reduces the performance. The phone will start to hang and it becomes terribly slow overtime.
I've used 3 different Nokia phones in about 5 years and this is what i've noticed. I'm currently using Nokia 5.4 and i'm suffering from my mistake of upgrading to Android 11. quite true... I use Nokia 3.4 and the phone freezes after the Android 11 update.. i am still waiting for the Maintenance patch which will obviously fix the issues it has currently |

Honestly... I am happy reading and learning something new from all the comments and opinions here...
Speaking of using DuckDuckGo, i didn't quite enjoy using it because like someone stated here.. the experience wasn't what i wanted, i had to switch back to chrome. Though there is the issue of privacy, but i rely on Google services on my everyday tasks so it will be pretty backward for me to not use their services. |
