Abubakar Sa’ad, sultan of Sokoto, said that the Nigeria law school is not bigger than the Nigerian constitution which allow the use of hijab.

The Sultan while reacting to the controversial denial of Amasa Firdaus, a law student from being called to the bar because of hijab said that hijab is a sign of decency for anyone who wants to preserve her chastity in Public.

He made this known at the Fifth national convention of Muslim Public Affairs Center (MPAC) on Saturday. The sultan who was represented by Waziri of Katsina, Sanni Abubakar Lugga wonders why the Nigeria law school is claiming to be above the constitution of the Federal republic of Nigeria.

Another chieftain of the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, has resigned his membership of the party.

Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, a senior party member in Kaduna State, was a member of the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007.

Rukkayya, the widow of late Taraba lawmaker Abdulmumini Dame, has been evicted from the home she shared with her late husband in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
