With all due respect, I think you are looking at things sentimentally. This is not the GEJ Presidency. Under Buhari, you will not so anything without the approval of the President whether covert or overt. In fact this is the mistake Saraki made to land him in all this trouble. He thought we were still in the PDP days where ambitious Politicians undermined GEJ openly. Do you guys know how a General thinks and what it took to get him that far? Buhari fully appreciates that once you are rubbished without consequences then your authority is eroded and many enemies will be emboldened to take you on. This was what killed GEJ. Saraki cannot make Tinubu appear before the Senate because that stage will signal that Saraki is ready to fight Buhari and his political associates. I beg to differ. There is oo much lacuna in our constitution. A court orders one to appear in court. Another court issues a counter order. This is where these politicians feast on. Another court will order stay of execution till the case and its merit is determined.Saraki continue to be the president while court case continues.

Moreover if Saraki shud solidify his grip on the unity group senators, together with PDP they have upper hand. The senator APC wants to replace Saraki will still be summarily defeated. Then Buhari will have a very turbulent tenure.

If Saraki is convicted, Ekweremadu assumes the position of acting Senate President pending when the Senate elect a new President. When a new SP is elected, he (Ike) reverts to his DSP role.

Ekweremadu can ONLY be removed by 2/3 of Senators present in a sitting provided that they form quorum. So far, PDP has 49 Senators making it impossible for APC Senators to kick him out.
