Quite unfortunate.... the truth is that the Euros is the only credibly organised tournament, out of all these continental tournaments.... the rest are confused .... I dont know y a tournament should be played during the mid season ... the AFCON was one reason Ferguson or real madrid dint like buying African players , even if they did, they will make sure he is not a vital player in the team... just look at Liverpool, I just pity them and the sad thing is that most times , when they come bk, they loose form due to fatigue
you don't change a tournament that has been played January February since 1957 to please some idiotic Europeans... Qatar 2022 ll be held in November December shebi leagues ll go on break... But anytime they hear afcon body de pepper them... Ok FIFA even Said players can play till six day's to afcon so what's their excuse... Anyone wey no sign AFrican player na im loss na... Abi since Ferguson no sign AFrican player's Dem drogba no see Job for Chelsea others... I can agree with changing the format to four year interval but changing it from January February should be rejected...

Why wouldn't incumbent president GEJ beat Atiku in PDP Primaries? Do you not understand what incumbency powers can achieve?

You people cite zoning to enable the south present successor to PMB, but in the southern regions, you people refuse zoning, because it's the turn of the Igbo to present the next president of Nigeria. Don't you see how stupeed you are?
then by This logic osinbajo is winning APC primaries and presidency... Ur bitter South South South East can vote your PDP in peace APC ll win in South West, North East north West and North Central... It's very stupid of you to think zoning is my Force... zoning has no legal bases that's why atiku contested against GEJ for PDP ticket in 2011... If Igbos Continue to wait for zoning they don't smell president seat and nothing ll happened highest Ina use mpkuru mmiri kee inaself grin shocked tongue

It seems that you believe that once a person got sworn in as president of a country, the person then has powers to lead the citizens to anywhere, including to the rocks.

The electorate is the repository of the president's powers, not the president's office.
The president can be sacked anytime by the electorate through impeachment;
The allegiance sworn by the armed forces to the constitution is like allegiance to the people who own the constitution, not to a mere mortal who was elected president.
you don't know anything... Why Ina never sacked buhari then you bitter lots... The armed forces owe their loyalty to the president who constitutionally is d commander of the armed forces... GEJ won in 2011 because the north and most of Nigeria respected zoning.

Go ahead and present a Yoruba in any of the two major political parties in 2022/23 to succed PMB. That will give you a Northerner succeding PMB.

Do you people even understand that given Nigeria's lopsided political structure, no southern Nigeria's presidential candidate can win presidential election if the north massively supports a Northerner as presidential candidate? A presidential candidate needs to win 25% of votes in 24 states before the candidate can be proclaimed winner of Nigeria's presidential election.

Bottom line: if Yoruba respect zoning and support Igbo to present presidential candidates in the 2 major political parties, as we did in 1999, presidency shall come to the south in 2023. But if Yoruba which had its turn through OBJ between 1999-2007 is competing with the Igbo in 2023, the south needs to kiss bye earlier to the 2023 presidency.
I love your boldness in ignorance anyway... You Igbos think u can insult your way to presidency... E shock ina say osinbajo ll beat a Northerner PDP ll present u ll cry don't worry don't tell your Igbo folks to contest wait for zoning ok... Even GEJ in 2011 had to beat Atiku in PDP primaries nobody dash him the ticket... But Igbos want it like wrap Sweet

Yoruba were not supportive of PDP when Obasanjo won PDP presidential primaries and won presidential election.

Obasanjo was dashed presidency because of zoning.

If they field a best Yoruba presidential candidate for APC for 2023, the north shall massively support a nothern presidential candidate in another party and win.
The SS will never forget or forgive the role Tinubu with other Yoruba played to bring down Goodluck Jonathan from office.

No Igbo shall tolerate how Yoruba slighted the Igbo by refusing rotation in the south now that it's the turn of the Igbo to present a successor to PMB.
no worry u ll cry when osinbajo finally win... When GEJ won in 2011 shey the North wasn't existing abi some of you are naive...

IslamRe: Why Muslims do not celebrate non-muslim festivals? by Osilama1: 3:01pm On Dec 31, 2021
Lukgaf:
No doubt, we have friends, teachers and colleagues among non-Muslims. We engage and collaborate when it comes to worldly affairs. We congratulate them on their success. We have a lot of non-Muslim teachers we respect a lot - we benefitted a lot from them in terms of knowledge and experience. We do not sever our relationship with them.

In essence, Islam enjoys being good to all the creatures of Allah, whether a Muslim or non-Muslims (including the animals).

But when it comes to the issue of religion and beliefs, Muslims are encouraged not to compromise. In Islam (as it is available in other religions/beliefs), there are red lines we shouldn't cross (which are things we are prohibited from doing) and one of them is celebrating any festival (not only non-Muslim festival) not recognized in Islam. This is not limited to non-Muslim festivals but other innovated festivals in Islam, such as Mawlud Nabiyy, Islamic Calendar, etc (you see I have made some threads condemning these too).

Based on the above premise, the below thread gives an account of what Islam says about non-Muslims festivals and why Muslims should not partake in them.

If you are a non-Muslim reading this and you have friends who do not send you wishes during the festival, I hope you will understand this and not think your friends do not care about you. Also, I hope you won't tag those Muslims as extremists and bigot because of this.

https://www.nairaland.com/6330534/what-islam-says-non-muslims-holiday
Also those like salah who choose to felicitate with Christians Muslims should stop attacking them... It's a matter of choice... Some Christians don't even celebrate Xmas self so I don't see why it should be a big deal whoever choose to Celebrate na choice and those who no wan celebrate should stop attacking those who celebrate...

If not, how could Obasanjo fresh from prison, win presidential primaries of PDP formed by Igbo Alex Ekwueme with his Group of 33?

There were hardly any notable Yoruba in PDP then. Most of the Yoruba politicians then were in Yoruba local political party, AD. Yoruba did not vote Obasanjo, yet he won.

1 You castigate PDP yet Former President Olusegun Obasanjo is a president from Yoruba land and south west is from Yoruba.

2.Abia state governor has the right to say what he want he is from another party but want his region to get the major political party presidential ticket.
Once upon a time Olu Felae and Obasanjo of Yoruba extraction enjoyed that.

In nut shell if injustice linger too much it has and effect and nobody is a second class citizen in his own country.

That’s after deductions. The yearly increment is about 3000 naira for a level 8 officer. Promotion is every 3 years. The pay is poor still compared to what current economic conditions are. The government can increase pay maybe by over 200% and reduce years of service from 35 to maybe 20 years, that way you don’t have to work for too long and you earn pay that will be decent.
increase pay without increase taxes ll bring about inflation... Pay is decent not poor... In trying to discuss issues like this we have to look at it realistically not emotionally... Govt to increase pay shey na only teachers Dem go pay what of other civil servants and workers what of projects to execute...?
