A presidential candidate needs to win 25% of votes in 24 states before the candidate can be proclaimed winner of Nigeria's presidential election.

Bottom line: if Yoruba respect zoning and support Igbo to present presidential candidates in the 2 major political parties, as we did in 1999, presidency shall come to the south in 2023. But if Yoruba which had its turn through OBJ between 1999-2007 is competing with the Igbo in 2023, the south needs to kiss bye earlier to the 2023 presidency.
