Available Properties Updated: 27th May 2023 Until I set out to relocate my family in June 2022 before the general elections that I realized even though it seems so easy to enter Ghana as a Nigerian Int passport holder, the same is not said when it's time to get accommodation and rent a house in Ghana as a Nigerian. It is more difficult than I initially thought being a neighbouring African country and both are in ECOWAS. But, after about 3 months search with different connections, I finally secure a newly built chamber and hall that allowed Nigerians (scares to land such though - so grateful to God and a reliable agent might have been scammed). Been almost a year here now with my wife and princess daughter (she is even teaching us the Ghana language now with her tonation already off that of Naija to been of Ghanaians). Why is it difficult to get a house for rent in Ghana as a Nigerian? There are different factors but honestly, the ones that stand out and remain the same across most landlords my wife and I have interacted with are "Bad experiences which have resulted into a generally bad reputation for Nigerians in Ghana" How to rent a house in Ghana as a Nigerian? OPTION 1: Some tips for those who like to do it yourself: 1. If you visiting Ghana for the first time, get a short stay or hotel first because it may take weeks if not months to secure an apartment of your own 2. Connect with reliable Nigerians there to guide you 3. Don't approach landlords there directly as that increases your chances of being rejected even more. OPTION 2: Get reliable and trusted Nigerians over there to help handle the process. This is not easy when you don't have family or friends there and while have decided to take up that challenge and create this thread I wish I had access to it with my wife back then when we were searching and set to relocate to Ghana. With the help of a trusted agent (indeed God sent - hard to find person sincerely too many scam agents out there) we used who has been there for about 15 years as a Nigerian, My wife took up a job under her and with this, we now have more experience daily and access to more properties with my wife going out to meet with Landlords as part of her team in search of properties, they do have the opportunity to see those few landlords who accept any nationality including Nigerians and so the birth of this thread is to help fellow Nigerians moving to Ghana secure accommodation without being duped. So, I will be updating this thread daily but at times there may not be properties to post, could reduce it to 1 to 2 times weekly but ensure you check daily (and share with friends and family) to see any new updates if in search of accommodation in Ghana as a Nigerian. Ghana House For Nigerians DAILY FAQ Section? In this section moving forward I will be noting down and answering frequently asked questions from the comment about securing accommodation for yourself and your family as a Nigerian in Ghana. So, make sure you always check this section out as it gets updated with helpful questions. For now, I will start with the common ones that have been asked personally and have also asked at the early stage of my search for a house for rent in Ghana as a Nigerian. Question 1: How much is Cedis to Naira? Answer: If search for a house in Ghana you won't see them in Naira but in cedis (GHS or GHC). The exchange rate fluctuates but usually ranges between N50 - N65 per GHS (Cedis). Question 2: How often are Nigerians rejected or how difficult it is to rent an apartment in Ghana as a Nigerian? Answer: Based on first-hand experience and my wife now also a real estate agent going out with her boss's team almost daily, I can say 5-7 out of every vacant house for rent in Ghana usually rejects Nigerians. Mathematically that's a 50-70% difficulty rate of getting rejected to rent an apartment in Ghana simply because you are a Nigerian National (so unfortunate). Question 3: How many years of rent is requested from Nigerians in Ghana? Answer: Unlike Nigeria, most rent ranges between 2 years to 3 years max but with some leg work you can get for 1 year but usually scarce compared to 2 years of rent. Question 4: What is Chamber and Hall (or Hall and Chamber) in Ghana? Answer: Simply put, Chamber and Hall in Ghana are the same as Room and Parlour Self contains in Nigeria (though with some design differences). NOTE: This is not the same as the face-me-slap-you room and parlour in Naija ooooh ![]() ![]() ...you can always comment with your question and will try my best to pick recurring ones to add and then answer it under this FAQ. |

To make money on youtube, you need to understand some basic things about youtube channels. There are three types of YouTube Channels 1) Personality Channel 2) Brand Channel 3) Niche Channel 1) Personality Youtube Channel This is a type of channel that requires you to record videos of yourself to run the channel. When the channel blow up, you end up becoming a celebrity Youtuber and build a personal brand But, it's limited as it's all about you and can hardly scale 2) Brand Youtube Channel This type of YouTube channel is owned by business, brands and news outlet More scalable than a personal brand.
