I like the very basic of things. We used to groan in fuel queues and now we dont. These people definitely did something right.
PoliticsRe: Benin Ore Road Has Been Fixed!(Some pictures) by osoisi: 9:44am On Apr 15, 2011
SOme of You guys are funny. How many times have we seen approved projects that havent been funded and so were stall for ever. YOu and I know these things so why make a fuss about a project going forward. If the GEJ government hadnt attended to it you wud have said he doesnt care about the problems of travellers. Please my bro travels this road every month and he says that the road has changed (not completed though). He was very impressed with the road and the pass of work on it.

When INEC couldnt hold the elections last week, you hypocrites came to GEJ's defense and came for Jega's head.

Now INEC is conducting a free and fair elections, you hypocrites are now acclaiming that dumb-blonde-thinking president and ignoring who merits the praise - JEGA.

This shows you GEJ supporters are not only supporting deceit cos you are deceived by it, you're supporting deceit cos you're also deceitful.

Freaking Hypocrites sad sad sad

You are the hypocrite. All you can do is descend to insults. If you he had ordered the army to help carry ballot boxes for PDP you wud have been the first to cry foul. Now he lets the process show what Nigerians truly want and you cry foul again.

PoliticsRe: Our Governor's Pocket Money by osoisi: 5:16pm On Apr 09, 2011
You are a liar and have no bases for making these claims. All you want is a moment of "glory". Look mum I started a thread on nairaland. Here are some facts:
17 billion dollars is alot of money. In naira that is 2.5 trillion. That is almost half of the national budget of Nigeria. Please go and look for something else to do

Kay 17:
Goodluck is the head of government, he is in control of the security agencies and therefore lapses in security are vicariously his fault.

If he cannot handle the security dilemma, then he should not bother running for presidency. He can go on and gist with his wife.

Since he has entered office, life and property have not being so unsafe!
We still have a massive shortfall in our Police recruit numbers that means even if they have the best guns and equip they cant be totally effective to cover 140mil lives. Politically motivated killings are different from the general insecurity. As safe as Germany (1st world country) is a student still opened fire in a school killing several students.
No excuses here: The loss of one life is a tragedy but the blame game helps no one.

Not Suprised. Prof Jega on NTA few minutes ago said that a Serving Senator (PDP) was caught with Balot boxes and youth coopers in his house. I state here Goodluck is at the moment.
Mr. USA except if u r voting by proxy from Oyigbo land u shud try to stay objective. Was it Goodluck they caught with he ballot? Does the Senator have a name? Then mention the name and stay on point.
The person caught shud be treated like any other criminal (Locked up). God help us all.

You honesty believe nta will show you those images. Isolated they might be am sure my brother did not just call me to frame lies. The panic and fear in his voice signifies how Frightened he was. However he has also comfirmed that voting is going on peacefully after the shooting. For those calling for my head you can see.
Strange story considering that he just jumped over some dead bodies while running away only to jump back over them to resume peaceful voting. huh
PoliticsRe: Breaking News. Heavy Gunfire Right Now In Bayelsa. by osoisi: 11:57am On Apr 09, 2011
it is unfortunate that you can not give us an area in Bayelsa where this is happening. if not for anything it will allow us warn those close to the area. Do you even have brother in bayelsa? If you can not tell us where (we are not even asking for street name) then carry ur mobile phone and look for another thing to do with it rather than cause a panic here.
PoliticsRe: Goodluck/ Sambo transformation package for Journalists by osoisi: 8:14pm On Apr 08, 2011
and i used to hear that intellectuals were the ones on Nairaland. Dont get me wrong these kind of things happen all the time (money changing hands) but here are facts that your intellectual brains should acknowledge:
- No Party owns corruption.
- The pictures we are discussing dont say anything unless it can proven that it was neither a setup or an aboki using that bag to carry naira for the person buying dollars.
Next Topic please.

Dont mind the Buhari sympathizers. You cant logically prove to me that He was and hasnt bn biased in the past towards the North. Its a fact. People remember and you can go to the south and find out if they know anybody by that name.

@debrief08 started this thread and I also know that this section has moderators. If Nairaland has any truth in it then it shud address this thread with an apology for its gravely misleading lies. Whats wrong with saying it was put in error. Infact: Start  a new thread to address the issue. We cant promote democracy by broadcasting senseless lies! Saharareporters shud be ashamed.

PoliticsRe: General Buhari Is A Disappointment To Me. He Is Unfit To Be President. by osoisi: 3:14pm On Mar 30, 2011
Gen Buhari,God forbids a cruel man with extremist orientation to govern this country;while we have energetic, vibrant, intelligence and foresight looking individuals like GEJ that should be given a chance to bring about developmental changes to this country. We are here discussing frivolities; who comes to debate or not.

Gen Buhari is totally misfit and unfit Spiritually, psychically, emotionally, intellectually and otherwise incapable of ruling this country.

all you haters shud clap for yourselves, You think you win elections on Nairaland? You will be massively surprised with the outcome of the elections. There are certain things you cant stop. I have bn doing surveys of my own and GEJ will definitely win. I aint voting by the way.

Kobojunkie:
You posted that rule, right? OK . . . following that your advice #1, you may need to read the thread before commenting too . . .  ROFLMAO!!!

They questioned the credibility of the debate itself . . . not the credibility of the organizers. In the NN24 case however, the credibility of the organizer was what was questioned -- when you automatically question the credibility of the organizer, you question the credibility of the debate.
you said it all. 1 + 1 equals?
PoliticsRe: BON/NEDG Vice-Presidential Debate: Official Thread by osoisi: 10:22pm On Mar 28, 2011
9ijaMan:
Sorry pal, I need not do any convincing, it's very much obvious the media chat aint credible. However it is certainly not my problem if you fail to discern between a BON organized debate and BON as a body. Let me come down a bit to your level of understanding. Here it is: BON may be a credible organization, but BON failed to organize a credible debate. BON and a BON organized debate are two separate and distinct entities.
Understanding that my level is very different from yours I cant seem to understand how something that is credible gives birth to something that isnt credible. That last time i checked monkey dey born monkey grin
PoliticsRe: BON/NEDG Vice-Presidential Debate: Official Thread by osoisi: 10:14pm On Mar 28, 2011
Homonide:
i listened to the interview, and i was far from being impressed. it was later that i realised that it was supposed to be a debate, right?
As much as i feel the oppostion have done theirselves and the voting populace a great disservice by choosing not to be part of this debate, i lay most of the blame on Mr Jonathan's doorstep. by choosing to ignore the nn24 debate even after giving his words that he was going to attend,he simply shot himself in the foot, and the backlash is the charade that we all witnessed tonight.
nedg needs to tell nigerians what happened to other vice presidential aspirants apart from the three that jointly pulled out officially. what happened to pat utomi, john dara, chris okotie, dele momodu, and others? were they not invited or did they boycot the debate too, like cpc, acn, and anpp did? do we only have 4 parties vying for the presidency in the presidential polls?
Politicians that impress come once in a while. Alot that talk dont do. Alot who do dont talk. Those who talk and do come once in while.

9ijaMan:
In layman's term, the BON debate has no credibility. If Sambo has attended alone and has been asked questions which have obviously been prepared for him before hand, then the BON though with an assumed wider coverage then so called debate is simply not credible.
You cant convince Nigeria that BON isnt credible because ur candidate didnt come

brabus:
How many people attended? Street Credibility debate organized by BON/NEDG. Which artist performed?

Nonsense,  why are they not busy this time around? Abeg go, sleep. Most Incredibles
Na only incredibles, na Super TED.
PoliticsRe: BON/NEDG Vice-Presidential Debate: Official Thread by osoisi: 10:05pm On Mar 28, 2011
9ijaMan:
The credibility of a debate has little or nothing to do with the coverage. Sambo attending the debate alone and reading the comments on this thread about the questions he was asked actually proved that the debate media chat was not credible. In a nut shell the small NN24 was able to organize a much more credible debate compared to the waste of time and resources organized by BON.
I am confused here. Are u saying it is credible or it isnt.
Is it that he attended alone that is your issue.

They boycotted BON not because it's not credible, but because GEJ disrespected them and failed to show up in the first debate, so what's your point
Advice 1: First read the thread and then comment on my comment. Dont just jump in. I was replying those who questioned the credibility of the BON debate.
Advice 2: If you read what ACN, CPC and ANPP jointly signed regarding the BOn debate you will understand that the credibility of the debate was what was in question.
Over to you. Your points was what again

PoliticsRe: BON/NEDG Vice-Presidential Debate: Official Thread by osoisi: 9:39pm On Mar 28, 2011
so lets postulate here alittle bit. If BB wins will they boycott the next debate hosted by BON? Or like you like they say: it would have bn reformed by then. Its a shame that we insulting a national institution. Since America's CNN affiliate (NN24) is more credible then what you all commenting on Nairaland about. Americanland no dey.

@osoisi

Dull assumption?  i think it's you whooneeds to clean your eyes( and possibly your brain too), no offence intended.

We all saw how the NN24 guys grilled the candidates. They were all shook as the moderator was merciless and handled the all debate without aparent agenda. Pls compare that to this  "stupidity" we have just witnessed.

No questions on how to handle the level of corruption?? one of the main disease of the country. No proper assertions from the moderator.

Pls who needs glasses? pheww undecided i worry for humanity
NN24? Nobody was grilled. Shekarua surprised us. Ribadu lost control. Buhari seemed like he either didnt want to say much.
Humanity isnt in jeopardy because of a 1hr debate. And it will be folly to build our hopes up because someone knows how to hold themselves up for an hour or so. We know these men. They cant pretend.
