This is where your mistake lies, they asked for a letter stating reasons why u are not to be blame. AND you are not to take responsibilities because you dnt knw what the responsibilties(consequence) are to be (Whether sack, demotion, to pay from ur salary etc).
You are suppose to give them a full detail of what happened, accept to be blame but plead it wouldnt happen again and promise to be extra careful not to repeat such financial misrepresentation again.

Their decision is legal and morally right, But it will be morally wrong if you followed your first letter with a letter of apology and they still took such decision. Tho its a grave mistake from your side as we are talking about a company's finance(liquidity).

I would advice you to temper a letter of apology to them, so as to show a feel of remorse about your error and giving them reasons why it may not happen again.
Dnt feel bossy here, be humble and retain your job back.

My advise is for you to send a follow up letter of apology to the management, to your boss and any other person holding a top independent position in the company.

Well, I have been told to stop wasting my time by applying for associate jobs on the websites of law firms. The reason being that they rarely employ lawyers anonymously. It is mostly through recommendation or connection. God knows I really want to practice law, but the job is not forthcoming. I have my rent to pay, bills to take care of and cannot survive on 15k a month after 6 years of going to school. I am open to suggestions anyways.

Someone even adviced I start a business or learn a trade! Yes, that's how sad it is. Many may feel am overreacting. All fingers are not equal. Family members and friends I thought would be able to help out are now giving me the cold shoulder. I have cause to be worried since I am solely responsible for myself now. I can't even bear the thought of going back home to depend on my parents. If I had known it was going to be this way, I wouldn't have wasted my time and resources becoming a lawyer. What's the point? I am still looking and bringing myself to apply to firms.

After december, I may have to think of something else to do.

having gone tru ur "constraints" I must say I do not share ur views about d legal profession...I will only advice u to be patient as 2 carve a nitch 4 urself has alot to do with experience. being that ur still a serving corper I'll encourage u not to give up on ur dream/passion of indulging in d practice of law as every great lawyer today practically has a story to tell...I was called some 8 years ago & trust me I started with 5k a month but today I bless God 4 d journey thus far as we can afford some luxuries...where are u located u might get get a lil push...

Sry for d misinformatn...I called a nairalander and he told me to try turning on d ignition without starting same....I realized all the lights came up normal

My vehicle (peugeot 406 EW10 2.0 litre engine) does 900km on a full tank of gas 75liters. My car runs perfectly, no malfunction indicator on, I crossed from the northe eastern part of nigeria to lagos without having any fuel consumption issues. On tuesday I drove from ogba to marland ikeja and back distance of 24km in very crazy traffic (over 5hrs ) and from my calculations I used up almost 20liters! Now 20liters on highway would have taken me over 220km but I ended up getting only 24km in city driving actually I never got out of 2nd gear, I literary crawled the entire journey.

All I'm trying to point out is the traffic conditions can make you feel your car is a guzzler when there is nothing wrong with ur car.

P.s To remain sane in lagos I'm getting me a bike.

Don't waste your hard earn money in fixing what is not faulty .subjecting ur car to road side mechanic for trial and error mode of fixing will pose more threat to or car .
Try to scan your car and submit the scan result here for accurate analysis.
Fuel consumption issue can accurately be fixed by accurate diagnostics tru scanning.

firstly I thank u for d contribution...it is a 4 cylinder 07 Camry...bought 'bout a week ago so I havnt changed anything...the car is working and running perfectly...it's jst d consumption..
the check light doesn't come on @ all...
