It's the power of the mind at work. At first, nothing is pressing you down. It's sleep paralysis you were experiencing and it is a phenomenon brought about by nature. Did you ask if the other sleepers in the room were as well pressed down or are they witches and wizards themselves?
Then by playing mind game with the occurrence, your brain already knew that you don't want the occurrence again, at least for now. Then the experience has stopped momentarily. Pls do update us whenever you have the experience again.
I have had series of sleep paralysis in the past too but I can't remember the last time I had it last. It's just a pure natural occurrence.
