What a people! Are you in Benin Republic? Or Ghana? If you are in Nigeria, and nothing seems to be working and your business is slacking or your office is downsizing, threatening to sack or have sacked you, or you have a friend or close relative that has lost his job and you're contributing to keep them afloat, there's is no way you won't wake up thinking of Buhari. |

deliveryboy: 2017 has been a remarkable year for Igbos, it's a year most Nigerians learnt a thing or two they hitherto did not know about this amazing ethnic group. Things like their uncommon bravery, their tendency to bond in unity in times of adversity. Most of all, this year they seem to have won the price for the most misunderstood group in the land. This may not be unconnected with certain collective struggles such as these listed below. 1. Free Evans campaign on the social media. Evans made fame as the billionaire kidnapped in the earlier part of the year, he had taken his trade to an industrial scale seeking over a million dollars from his victims. What shocked my as well as most Nigerians is the bravery (or effrontery) of his kinsmen to demand his immediate release because he is not the only criminal in the land. 2. Ozugbulu massacre. The country woke up to a sad news of mass shooting in the church in the small town of Ozugbulu. The killings were connected to known drug wars that have been raging for months and we're known to have started abroad in their strongholds in South Africa. But their kinsmen decision to rewrite the crime story hinting it was Boko Haram then they ALL agreed it was the federal government who sent soldiers to kill their people on a peaceful Sunday morning. That's bravery. 3. Innosson vs Guaranty Trust Bank: we all know there are flaws in the borrower-lender relationship involving banks and customers and that may not be ruled out in the case between innosson and GTBank but how would one explain an entire tribe of more than thirty million people threatening to close their bank accounts with a bank because the said bank seeks recovery of a loan from a borrower of Igbo extraction. Not forgetting that there is also a forgery case involved. 4. Buhari created fuel scarcity to impoverish Igbos: this one weak me.
As a new year is approaching I hope Igbos would turn a new leaf, eschewing bitterness and the notion that every other Nigerian hates the Igbo people. This collective effort to retrace their steps would be for the overall good of the Igbos because Nigerians do not appear to take Igbo issues with much seriousness. Why did you forget the lynching of Nnamdi Kanu by Nigerian army? And Oct 1 quit notice by Arewa youths |

sarrki: PDP caused it all
So they should keep Quiet You have said this to yourself repeatedly and several and now it's sounding like truth to you. Ok, just to make you happy because today is Xmas, let's agree with you that PDP caused it. So, why is your Lord and Master, King Buhari, not able to fix this simple supply-chain issue after two and half years? Where is the "change" then? And after 2 and half years of him not fixing anything, is it not now okay to conclude that he lacks ability to correct anything and deliver change? And that being the case, shouldn't we be looking elsewhere? Sarrki, I await your response |
