@python1, Na only you go defend Buhari? The way you jump at every post. Haba! Buhari has disappointed you. Say the truth. Then let's look at how to make amend including voting him again. All options are open at this time. Even Buhari sef has not said he would recontest. So the discuss is hypothetical but I like the reasons adduced and attributes listed. python1: [s][/s] Go and say that to the moon. Oh, I forgot to say this, I and my friends also voted Nnamdi Kanu for president in 2015 election, but I have realised I did the wrong thing because kanu and his fellow IPOB terrorists are bunch of brainless pigs. IPOBS can lie for Africa. The way all IPOBS now claim to have voted Buhari, I wonder how their total votes now constitute mere 5%. |

Back at it.
This matter has refused to go. Those defending have continued to defend. But guess what? Not a single adverse view has been changed.
Reason is not far-fetched. Buhari's statement as revealed by the World Bank chief cannot be taken in isolation. It's within the context of his other actions and statements which have also been characterised and criticised as nepotistic.
Buhari can be Lord of the North. I have no problem with that. After all, Awo championed for the West. But the best gift it can give to the North is to tell them the truth - that preferential treatment does not grow you. Lowering entrance score to unity school, making jamb cut off 120 to accommodate North, even all of World Bank portfolio will not solve it, rather it groom's a culture of laziness.
Rather he should mobilise the North to tackle challenges of the North. And the greatest resource ever is human capital. North needs to be competitive. The youths need to be groomed to be competitive even with counterparts in US, UK and China, not just the South.
Lowering of standards and preferential treatment for the North is what kept the North where it is today. You have professors who cant research, civil servants who can't pass promotion exams and teachers who fail primary 4 exams. |

I'm a Nigerian sir. When I made the correction I referred to Biafrans after the civil war. All this reference to "you", I hope you don't mean North fingering South. Because our discussionhere is why North should be Mr. PRESIDENTS sole interest. I can also see that you use many different Monika on this forum, well done QuotaSystem: On the contrary, you should be the thankful one for the free history and logic lesson you received this morning.
The value of £20 is a baseless topic because you never deserved one penny to even start with. Is it not when you deserve more than £20 in the first place that you can complain about it?
Defeated and conquered people in war typically are taken as prisoners of war and condemned to slavery until they can win back their freedom. Go and research history.
You should be grateful for Nigeria's graciousness. |

Very good you have been educated this morning on the matter of £20 pounds. Be bold enough and have the intellectual humility to say 'thanks' As for winning or losing, that's not the point of discussion. QuotaSystem: Dude, you LOST the war. You surrendered
As in you were Defeated, Vanquished, Conquered, it appears most of you have forgotten.
You did not deserve a penny talk less of £20, in medieval times you'd all have been taken as prisoners of war and condemned to slavery and servitude until you can fight back to win your freedom.
So STFU and be thankful for Gowon and Nigeria's graciousness in even giving you stipends to restart your lives. Do you think millionaire Syrians that lost everything to their war have been given even $1? I wonder why Gavelslam is burning time in explaining what you never deserved in the first place. We really need to teach our children their history as you said. |

You keep making the same mistake. Biafran wanted not higher than £20 But their hard earned savings and deposits. Imagine today, whatever you have in your First Bank account, and all you can have of it is your today's equivalent of £20. Some had millions! Traders and transporters GavelSlam: They were given 20 pounds whether Nigerian pounds or the sterling they were equivalent at the time.
How many times have you guys kept quiet over and over again as your kinsmen continue to broadcast the "common" £20, which as we've seen is the equivalent of 230 odd pounds sterling today?
Nigeria is one of the few countries in the world in which the Victor has not sought the cost of war from the losers.
We adopted a no Victor no vanquised policy which the newer generation refuses to accept.
My computation on how much was given to easterners post-war stands.
It doesn't take away the fact that we are brothers but that bolf-faced lie that many have been spinning for generations has been busted today.
Call me the Mythbuster. |
Politics › Re: North Got Lion’s Share Of World Bank Projects Under Buhari — Documents by otil1: 6:42am On Oct 15, 2017 |
GavelSlam: You guys got £20, the equivalent of N250,000 today. How many other citizens got the same? No! You got it wrong. Biafran got £20 for any amount whatsoever they left in their bank accounts, even if you have £1billion! Those without bank deposits got nothing. So it's not like £20 compensation. It's a mark down to £20. Confirm it! This is why we should teach history. |

Kazim88: My personal opinion Igbo governors are nothing but disaster.
They went to Abuja taking about Appointments... when they should stand their feet and tell buhari the gospel truth and the hard solution. they are there playing nice... beating round the bush.
While the problem grows...
Is not the same meeting Osinbajo did? with the same crooks... was their any effect.
Buhari must talk with IPOB genuinely... they are the Key Opinion Leaders.
all this his gra gra would soon disgrace him. In bold refers pls? I disagree with you that IPOB are the key Opinion Leaders. Gbupu aso! Tufiakwa! Since when? What has IPOB championed that will benefit the Igbos? To scatter Nigeria? To instigate crises in Kano? In Lagos? To kill Hausas in Aba? What opinion does IPOB project? To hate all your neighbours and burn bridges? Without doubt, IPOB, with the help of Buhari's 19th century approach, is the lowest the Igbos got since civil war. Let me share something with you. Forget all those talk about marginalisation. It's political and it's an elite thing. The Igbos are not more marginalised than any other tribe be it Efik or Yoruba or even Hausa. And (this is big), the Igbos leaders are always short of words when tasked to state their demands because there's really nothing concrete. Is it 2nd Niger Bridge, piece of cake: 5 South East states plus Delta and Rivers will do it under one budgetary year, quote me. When Lagos alone has done Ikoyi Lekki and contemplating 4th Mainland bridge Is it Enugu-Onitsha, Enugu-PH. Ditto South East is blessed with high population density. The road networks are short, really. That's what Anambra capitalised on and linked all its towns on good tarred road. There is nothing an Igbo man wants that a Kalabari man doesn't néed more. We are not facing wholesale environmental degradation of Niger Delta and the disease and poverty of core North. So what is it? Igbo presidency? What is that? Haven't we been there? And those that've had it, has it solved all their issues? Otuoke is still lacking pottable drinking water. So? |

Do you know any of the people being tried with him. Forget ipob. What you need to factor in is that it's Buhari's blunt and 19th century approach that propelled Nnamdi Kanu to fame and pseudo-significance. The leadership of South East basically did not notice his nuisance value. Afterall, Ipob is not the first. There were Massob, BZM, etc. Buhari failed to hear simple counsel to just ignore them. both on facebook and nairaland. They hall hate yorubas, hate muslims, hate hausa fulani, hate Nigeria. Its very obvious. Check well. Tell me who hates his customer. That buys 'market' from him. Igbos want all you mentioned and need them to survive and thrive. That's what I said about ipob. These are born losers! In Aba, while genuine traders where waiting for Yusuf and Yinusa that buy shoes and sandals in bulk and go back to resell at Nasarawa, ipob were at the road from park looking for Yusuf and Yinusa to attack. Meanwhile sometimes, Yusuf and Yinusa will take some extra goods on credit to repay when next they visit. No genius Igbo trader will wish his customer and trade partner any evil. They will rather quarrel with their own blood brothers. But unemployed ipob tout feels different. As a loser, he rightly feels he has nothing to lose. Close a market for a single day and see who bears the brunt. It's not ipob. It's genuine Igbo shop and business owners. Upon is a very sad commentary for the whole Igbos. Something even ipob doesn't know us that their members don't have voters card - not registered. So the voters register for Anamra is excluding IPOB. So IPOB boycotts or not, they won't be noticed blackhinstan: WE WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN ELECTIONS IN BIAFRA LAND AGAIN TILL REFERENDUM DATE IS ANNOUNCED
"If we don't boycott the elections they won't take us seriously. We need to boycott the elections to show the world that we are fanatical about Biafra Restoration". These were words from most members of Biafra Music WhatsApp Group who, in their group programme titled "MATTERS OF THE DAY," made it categorically clear to all and sundry that they are ready to boycott all “boycottables” in order to restore their motherland Biafra. The MATTER OF THE DAY, which topic is BOYCOTTING OF ELECTIONS IN BIAFRA LAND, is a programme initiated for the sole reason of Educating, Enlightening and Encouraging our people, and also knowing people's mind on a particular topic. The admin. presiding over the discussion in further explanation of the topic of the day asked, AFTER THE INVASION, ARREST AND KILLINGS OF OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS SHOULD WE BOYCOTT THE ELECTION OR SHOULD WE VOTE IN A GOVERNOR WE THINK WILL HAVE US IN MIND AND ALSO PROTECT OUR LIVES AND PROPERTIES? WHAT ARE THE REASONS WHY WE SHOULDN'T VOTE?... WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF BOYCOTTING THE UPCOMING ANAMBRA GUBERNATORIAL ELECTIONS? In reaction to the topic and questions, the members made their view known to all that they will not be participating in any other election in Biafra land, starting from the upcoming Anambra Gubernatorial Election. Sis Evangeline, in her own reaction, explained, "We are going to do exactly as instructed by our Director and the supreme leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. No more election in Biafra land and the five Eastern governors will come to know that we own Biafra. Every one of us should educate our families and villagers as a whole, Even our town union meetings". Giving more reasons when asked what if the government still refuse to listen to the masses after a successful election boycott she said, "Even if they don't listen to us they will know we have a strong hold on our land and that we determine what happens in it. All the Eastern Governors have failed us. They don't care about the poor masses that voted them in; rather, they are having only the interest of their families at heart. We must chase them out of there to show them that power belongs to the masses." Mr Ugochukwu Biafra Igwenagum, who is an indigene of Anambra State, said, “If we don't vote as Director once said, Biafra will come faster. I insist on election boycott, that's the only way out." He further revealed that Willie Obiano, the Governor of Anambra State, has paid all the Hausa/ Fulani in Anambra five thousand naira for them to vote for him. Mrs Starvicky, in her own opinion, said, “We need to make people realize that Buhari is using these greedy governors in his bid to Islamise BIAFRA. They should not allow their conscience to be bought. Boycotting is made easy because the invasion has become an eye opener." Mr Obioma Gift Joseph, in his own reaction, said, "No more Election in Biafra land. If anybody votes in Biafraland again, it will not be well with such person and his or her generation will never prosper till eternity." Mr Umekwe Emmanuel, reacting to the topic being discussed, said, "The world will know that we are serious after a successful boycott of elections in Biafra land. We say no to election in Biafra land." Mr Robinson from IPOB Kogi State, in his own opinion, said, “If we boycott Anambra election, Biafra will be restored sooner than imagined and also the whole world will know that we are serious and up to something." Sir Silent, who complained bitterly of low spread of evangelism for the Election Boycott, said, "After boycotting the election, the zoo and the whole world will know that we're very serious about Biafra. It is the best way to go. No election. We need to take the NO ELECTION MANTRA to everyone in Biafra land." Mr Enwe Ifeanyi, in his reaction that got many supporters and said, “If we don't boycott the elections they won't take us seriously. We need to boycott the elections to show the world that we are fanatical about Biafra. We must boycott elections to show them that the power belongs to us. After that election boycott they will start to respect us and value us." Mr Ifeanyi Spaco made it clear to everybody that the No election campaign is for the whole Biafraland, but we shall begin with the upcoming gubernatorial election in Anambra State! Civil disobedience is allowed. Mr Gozie, in his own opinion, said, “Yes! We should start with civil disobedience like (Boycotting Elections, not participating in their Census) then they will know that we are serious." Last but not the least to contribute to the programme was Mr Emeka from Enugu State, who said, “We (Biafrans) are not the same as they. Elections don't concern us. He further stated that "We (IPOB) are under command and control so we should do what our leader told us." |
