Intuitive click on a Facebook search is less likely, but a possibility. People search for what they are familiar with on facebook, and search to discover on Google as the poster has pointed. However, there's enough money to be made even if just 1% of over 500M users click on a sponsored result... and nothing to loose either. |
freshmoney: When will Nigeria government stop road transport of inflammable fluid- petrol, diesel, kerosene, gas? Inflammable fluid are solely conveyed via rail transport! Not true.. What about the tanker drivers that almost went on strike in UK and caused panic buying? sey na water dem dey carry? |

Abeg oh, just out of curiosity and being away from nairaland for a bit, on what basis do topics make it to front page? I thought it was based on a combination of popularity and recentness?? jobfront: That advert should be banned outrightly, no need arguing about it, @29yrs lateFrom your name i can deduce you are a job seeker. One 20 year old would use this same FAST internet to start up something creative and profitable, then he will employ you and pay you under a million till you are 40. But he would be talking billions by then. Very shallow thinking you got there my friend. Wake up! Pardon me if i sound offensive. I apologise. |
Let's see it this way... When you talk of innovative and disruptive business models that people have come up with in recent years, it often has something to do with the internet... from facebook to spotify, from irokotv to dealdey. These new breed of companies have launched their owners into the millionaire zone in whichever currency within a short period. Why? cos the new age of business innovation and fast turn over highly depends on high speed internet, amongst other factors (google tesco and walmarts profit boost resulting from internet sales. Why not eliminate the negative use of internet for money making (419) from your thoughts and tap into the potential of high speed internet for business innovation. I bet you quick millions would locate you too. A simple blog can do the magic through Ad gains for example. Ps: I don’t work for airtel. |
bayleaf:I knew someone would pick up "igbo-drunk" and misinterpret it lol. Read it again ma dear. |

@buzugee, lol, joker @poster, stay shy and stay pregnant, or bone dem lookers while u dem bone unwanted babies. |
so which would be preferred, CD sells for N1,000 and less people can afford it, so they look out for free downloads, or one guy buys and 200 plus people rip and burn it, , or CD sells for N150 to N250 and everybody can afford it, and more copies are sold, as one would rather drop small amount to own it that go thru the stress of downloading the whole album or ripping and burning the scarce copy. Thing is either ways, the top price copies would soon be replaced by bootlegs. I though the new market model was to offer as cheap as bootleggers will sell so as to fight em with stiff price wars. well, time will tell the success of this effort. just downloaded a few tracks tho, cos i havent found the CD to buy yet. ![]() |
Rmc1:lol, piss taking. Funny how they have to force these guys to stay on set these days. yet we expect better movies, from unhappy actors. na wa |
While i am not totally against downsizing and retrenchment as it is sometimes inevitable, there is an approach to every thing. The Intercontinental approach was obviously the wrong one. Laying of staff is usually a managerial decision which is planned over a period of time. CEO's don't wake up and decide to sack people the same day. So why not bring it to the awareness of those to be affected early enough so they can adjust to the new life ahead. After all, they didn't commit any crime so it shouldn't be like they'r being punished for something. Staff can be pacified by various packages, the superiors explaining before hand the reason for termination, providing supportive services for finding new jobs, counselling and finally, reasonable lay off packages that makes one feel the shock less. This 3pm instant termination by the bank can lead to various consequences, including suicide. There's a positive approach to everything, including sacking people. Nigerians, we've got a lot to learn. Just my fair contribution. |
