kolad59:It was sold on Namesilo (registered on Namesilo), like said before, the domain was registered in my early days of domaining (before Netsol promo). |
Promxy94:austincellrepair,com ordinarily a good name but most of the potential buyers were very small businesses. |
Another deal closed, very small though $40 but the name was one of the craps I picked up in my early days of domaining. Lesson to newbies: DON'T BE GREEDY WITH SALES ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE A DOMAIN WITHOUT BUYER INTEREST (MAYBE ONLY 1 RESPONSE FROM ALL YOUR OUTBOUND MESSAGES), IF THE NAME IS CRAP, DON'T BE EMOTIONAL ABOUT YOUR PRICE. USE THE MONEY TO BUY ANOTHER DOMAIN, EVEN $20 CAN FETCH YOU 20 BETTER NAMES ON NETSOL PROMO. |
Testapep:Both, only when they have read the initial pitch |
New follow up message I am experimenting on (after they read my email and don't reply); HI, WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE US AN OFFER FOR THE DOMAIN? |
Promxy94:Lol, same thing happened to me yesterday but I messaged undeveloped and Laszlo promised to fix it today. In another news, January 1st delivered $200 sha. |
buzritchy:It's good but I think it would be better like this; THE PRICE IS $499, HOWEVER WE ARE OPEN TO CLOSE OFFERS. YOU CAN VISIT BOSTONCOINDEALER.COM TO BUY IT DIRECTLY OR MAKE AN OFFER. NB: the all-caps is just for emphasis |
Alabaintprice:Lol, off course you won't see the logic. IF YOU READ THE THREAD, YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN DIFFERENT VARIETIES OF SALES LETTER, SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT WORKS BEST IN DIFFERENT OUTBOUNDING SITUATIONS, YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN THAT A SALES LETTER COULD BE JUST 1 SENTENCE (e.g Hi, domain bla bla bla is available for sales, I'm open to discussions if you're interested), YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN DISCUSSIONS ON WHETHER TO HAVE THE DOMAIN PRICE ON YOUR SALES LETTER OR NOT, the benefits of reading this thread are enormous, in order not to derail the thread further, I won't respond to you after this post. Good luck with your hustle. |
Alabaintprice:Interesting, you expect someone else to read the thread, get the exact page(S) where sales letters were posted, BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO READ? I SAY WEHDON SIR! LOL. Note to SERIOUS newbies: When you're advised to read this thread from the beginning, don't get upset or feel ignored, it's for your own good because THERE ARE SO MANY ANSWERS TO ALL THE QUESTIONS A BEGINNER WOULD ASK! Even if you can't read all, try 1 to 50 (or 100), you have everything you need here. |
DonX001:No special tools, but I contact PAGES not individuals. |
Hennyola:I don't send too many messages at the same time. They (Facebook) block me once in a while (from sending messages) but I just wait for 24hours and continue. |
Alabaintprice:Wow, nice move! NOT EVERYONE HAS THAT TIME TO GO THROUGH ALL THIS POST! Congratulations bro, maybe some people have time to be reposting or emailing sales letter every 3 days too. |
siverspooon:Where did you list the domain? Tell him that he can go directly to the marketplace and buy the domain, if your whois is public, you can tell him to search for the domain and see who owns it. |
I don't report sales here often, but domaining is LEARN AS YOU GO. Just 2 days ago, I bought a crazy looking domain name (I think it's German) just because the expireddomains/net stats were good. I listed it for sales ($499), only to wake up the next morning (yesterday) to see a $200 offer from a German guy (no outbound), I realized that it was important and when I used Google translate to check the meaning, I was something about company credit abi business loans, I made a counter offer of $400 already, I intend to accept the $200 but I want to have some fun. Before you get too excited, I started domaining around May and I made a sales in less than 1 month just reading this thread, however, I HAVE OVER 50 UNSOLD DOMAINS. Some are garbages I picked up when I was new to the game (with Netsol $1, I still make mistakes when buying sometimes), some are good domains just waiting for the right time. I have sold names that don't make any sense, I HAVE ALSO SOLD A NIGERIAN .NG DOMAIN TO A NIGERIAN COMPANY (just $100 though). MY ADVICE TO NEWBIES AGAIN, READ THIS THREAD AND TAKE THE ADVICE SERIOUSLY, LEARN AS YOU GO AND KEEP BUYING GOOD DOMAINS EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T MAKE ANY SALES. |
Treasure28:Not just a Nigerian account, a Nigerian account without any friend (more likely to be seen as a scam) but dedicated to domaining, I don't hide my identity and I post about my domains once in a while. |
Myria:Just Facebook search, it was easy though because the domain is a geo domain. |
brudiga:It's even the best time for some domains (recreational, travel, hotels, etc). |
Funny thing happened yesterday, I registered a name on Netsol, listed for $599 (undeveloped) and did outbound (facebook) immediately, I got two interested buyers, the first guy said he was interested, he dropped his email and I followed up. In less than 1 hour the other guy made an offer of $399 and I didn't counter it (I could have gotten more but I have learnt not to be greedy or attached to any domain), DOMAIN SOLD. Then 30 minutes later the other guy asked me why the domain was $599 bla bla bla, I told him that it has already been sold and I can't do anything about it, like 6hours later his business partner contacted me about the domain and asked if similar names are available, I asked him if he would be interested in buying the plural and he said yes. I don buy and put up the plural for $499, I know say before today go end, this one sef go sell. Why did I tell this story? A GOOD DOMAIN AND A LITTLE MARKETING SKILLS ARE ALL YOU NEED TO SELL YOUR DOMAIN! If your question is HOW DO I GET A GOOD DOMAIN, my answer would be READ THIS THREAD FROM PAGE 1. |
hafdol:Firstly, what subject title do you use? I have been using INQUIRY for a while and it has a very high open rate (more than 70% of my mails get opened); this brings me to the second part, when they open your email, what do they see? Do buyers see a potential to boost their business or just another spam/junk email? Most times I don't get a reply after they open the email, but you ask yourself was this email read by a receptionist or the owner of the business? My advice; 1. Use a simple subject title like INQUIRY or something that'll make them curious about the email. 2. Track your emails (the process has been taught here many times). 3. Send to the right email address (most generic emails like INFO@nigeria.abcdefgh are read by receptionist who often conclude that the email is a spam). 4. Make your sales letter straight to the point (maximum of 3 paragraphs with 2 lines each) and try to reduce the use of words such as sales (using this many times in 1 email could be send to spam folder if the user has a strict spam filter). 5. If they read the email and they don't reply, continue following up (maybe every week) until they get tired of ignoring the email and tell you to stop sending them such emails (at this point please respect their decision and stop the follow ups). 6. *BUY GOOD DOMAINS, THIS IS THE MOST GUARANTEED WAY OF MAKING SALES AND GETTING RESPONSE FROM END USERS* Enough for this morning, enjoy your day and more sales to y'all. |

Treasure28:Did you push or you transferred the domain? |
Carmal90:Do they give Auth code to a domain with a 60 days lock? I don't know for sure but I requested for auth code and they provided it (for the 2 domains I have requested to transfer) so as far as I can tell, no transfer restrictions on those domains. |
Treasure28:You just reported a sales of $350 after 20days of registering the name at Network Solutions, how did the buyer get the domain from you? |
ollybode: Treasure28:This is not entirely true, on Saturday I requested for an Auth Code from Network Solutions for one of the domains I bought with the 1$ promo, the buyers had already paid and requested a transfer to GoDaddy so after requesting for the Auth Code I called Network Solution and told them that I can't wait for 3days because I have sold the domain. The guy created the Auth while we were talking on the phone and I received the code in less than 30mins (instead of waiting for 3days). In summary; the 60 days lock isn't activated for the 1$ domains and if you need the code urgently, call them, you don't have to wait for 3 days . |
ClixMaster:It looks like a deliberate attempt to make their customers buy the whois privacy they're selling. |
Does network solutions sell out whois info to spammers? My inbox and spam folder has not known rest since I grabbed some of those $1 netsol promo. |
Promxy94:Though still OK, informarcial is a typo of infomercial. |
crudedude:Thanks |
crudedude:$, $$ or $$$ at most |
