I don't know how OBJ is the best president Nigeria has ever had, OBJ's ill-prepared successors and apostles of his "do or die" brand of politics, who are our present economic managers, were handpicked by the OBJ and forced on us through the dubious and thoroughly discredited 2007 elections. OBJ cannot be absolved from our high debt profile and disappearing foreign reserves.

GEJ should have simply persuaded the Ogun State Governor in private or make a public plea (a sort of show) that the new Sagamu Stadium which he (GEJ) just commissioned be named after the late Sage, rather than insulting the Awo brand by associating it with the abandoned/deplorable Liberty Stadium.

Can anybody see the balancing GEJ went out to achieve:

The Ogun State Commissioner for Information and Orientation is a clasical case of the proverbial stubborn fly that will not mind to follow dead body into the grave.

Hear him: "Clarifying that the executive was not averse to investigation of its finances, he said the role should be left for the state‘s House of Assembly.

According to him, the state House of Assembly is vested with the sole powers to investigate the executive".

Where was this funny fellow when the "Emperor" Governor ordered State officials not to honour invitations by the same State House Of Assembly when the House was trying to perform its oversight function of ascertaining the level of indebtedness of the State ?. When one top official ( I think, the Accountant General) finally appeared before the House, he bluntly refused to disclose anything as if he was under a juju spell.

The State Government later instituted an action against the House, challenging the competence of the House to summon State officials.
