My sincere condolences to your family. However, so many factors are responsible for account reconciliation especially those who worked in public sector. The first factor is that the PFA reconciles the remittance in the holder account with the nominal roll from pencom as to ascertain either refund or payment of outstanding. Secondly, if there are missing contributions, the PFA will do all within to credit the missing remittances as applicable. You can reach me on zero eight zero two eight one, nine two three eight six. I will be glad to further explain and guide you.

You need to be careful and make sure you go with a lawyer. Previous experience about the same was nasty. Customs demanded for 200k to clear iphonex and sss requested for 150k to get clearance. Had to take the matter up seriously before it was released. The sss are boys who need something, so brace up. Wish u luck

Its a sad thing that the FG takes a longer time to redeem retirees bond. However, the law does not permit partial payment from the RSA. I think the delay on the part of pencom might be reconciliation because a lot of account holders dont pay attention to account while active. Another view is that letter of administration is not duly certified by a court. Having your name as NOK does not make you qualify as Estate beneficiary of the deceased. To get all dis resolved, i suggest you
Get ur Letter of administration right
Get all d certificates handy well certified n approach Premium pensions.

Please I would like to confirm from resourceful persons on how death benefits are paid, most especially in the area of the savings in the retirement savings account and the gratuity to be paid by the government via the account.

My dad passed on some six years ago, and up till now we have not been able to access the death benefits with premium pensions despite various documentation processes.

I happen to be the NOK and the family are thinking I have probably been paid the fund.

In all truthfulness, there are financial needs in the family especially young children in school and the Pension Administrator said as at December 2017 that they were waiting for the Pension Commission to send the Bond to them which takes up to a year to arrive .

My question is this, does the pension act give room for the retirement savings in the account to be paid pending when the bond will arrive at Premium Pensions.

Meaningful inputs/help will be highly appreciated.

The last session which ended on wednesday 2/8/17 was really transparent. I didnt make it though as i came second for a particular item. Congratulations!! you graduated with a first class degree. However, what marvel me is that with your class of degree you are seeking a lazy man job, i want to assume you stretched your brain to bag that class of degree so why settle for a less productive job ...i mean go to work, sit and get paid, do some travel, get a salary to manage poverty and life ends at that. Why dont you take up some better solution proffering jobs. It sounds awkward to me that a first class is struggling for ministry job. What year will you break even? Where are your skills? I just believe you can achieve more rather than dis govt job honestly. Struggle to create wealth and live a better life

Firstly, graduating with a first class is not a guarantee for job. But it is only fair within the ambient of merit that a first class graduate in a relevant field as regard the opening should be considered for interview (is left for him to prove his worth).
So while scrolling down the list yesterday, I was so sure of seeing my name. But to my surprise only three names appeared from Central Zone, Taraba State, for the position of Foreign Service Officer GL 08 (Foreign Affairs)
So I began my analysis: I graduated with a First Class in B. A. International Studies and Diplomacy while the shortlisted candidates graduated in these disciplines:
1. NCE, B. Sc. Social Studies
2. B. A. French
3. B. Sc. Sociology

I don't know their grades, but let's assume they all had First Class, their disciplines are not as relevant as my own considering Foreign Service Job. But this is Nigeria where merit is always murdered on the alter of connection.
Patiently waiting for the next batch. In the meantime, I'm already running my M.A in the First and the Best University in Nigeria (you know the school na...Lol). The job was just Plan B.
