I don't get it really! Is it that only Lagos state government have the finances and available resources to embark on these kind of projects? Or are other states government only interested in looting?

Truly even Lagos state will severely stress its finances to achieve these projects
All other states lack the capacity as long as they depend on funds shared from Abuja and neglect the greatest resources they have, the millions of residents in the state

Nobody heard about the case until he correctly predicted the outcome of the 2023 elections and everything he predicted happened exactly the way he predicted and he even went ahead to predict the colors of cloths and reactions of what will happen 4 months before it happened with scary exactitude but he said on the last part of his dream he saw tinubu arrested by soldiers in a coup detat at a military parade before international dignitaries …then tinubu was like I no go close my eyes and allow this one happen…let’s see how it will happen if you are locked out forever. He moved against the pastor with our everyone knows polluted judiciary, same way he used the polluted judiciary against his opponents to defend the massively rigged and useless last 2023 elections

Your fake pastor's prophecy had already failed before he was convicted and he had committed his serial rapes before the election.

I swear, I can't wait. I can't wait to see the direct impact on the economy. The impact on exchange rate.

Cos if there is no direct and visible impact, then it's just another means of the rich becoming richer and poor becoming poorer.

Is the impact of continuous Import of fuel any better?

Magnetic010:
If this Dangote refinery doesn't in any way reduce the price of petroleum products in the country then it is of no benefit to the common man....

Even if it is slightly more expensive it is better for the economy that such huge value is being added to our local raw materials, and that Nigerians will start having refinery experience that can translated to other petrochemical industries, increasing the local talent pool.

The number of service industries to support the refinery in Nigeria is numerous and will benefit the economy with new knowledge that can be used to develop other sectors in steel fabrication, spare parts production, chemical input factory, consumables like gloves, goggles, safety shoes, safety hats, and services to the workers.

All these activities would have been domiciled in the host country of the refineries that have supplying us with billions of liters of fuel in the last 30 years
Business / Re: Video Of production Flaring At Dangote Refinery by Ovamboland(m): 6:38am On Jan 14
Richtaiwo:
I thought gas flaring has stopped. Why the flaring? Can't it be converted to a useful purpose? I understand gas flaring produces excessive carbon monoxide (CO) which destroys ozone layer leading to global warming.

the refineries that supply the 50m liters offuel we consume per day, don't they have their own flares sending the carbon monoxide to the same ozone layer?
Difference is while they are productive you are consumers
Now you are envious that a fellow Nigerian is becoming productive and taking over foreign productivity

This is the type of statement one would expect from a citizen of the country whose refinery would lose Nigeria's fuel business

According to the supreme court all states are equal, what that judgement will do in Nigeria you guys will still see dirtiness in that judgement just a matter of time, because what you are trying to say is that in election all votes are equal but in law all judgements are not equal...

Enugu votes - 1

Abuja votes - 1

Enugu high court judgement - 1

Abuja high court judgement - 1

You guys like shifting goal posts anyhow, you guys hypocrisy is something else

Mugu, terrorism is a federal crime not a state crime, state high courts lack jurisdiction

Remember that when someone is increasing their stakes, someone else is reducing theirs. For every buy, there is someone selling, and if that someone is willing to sell loads of it, it doesn't necessarily mean that there is a commensurate increase in fundamental value.

I am no expert, but I would prefer a stock that is moving up with little volume. At least we know that the majority agrees that it holds value, and the few who sell want significant returns for giving up their position. cheesy grin

Those selling might have their eyes on another moving or about to move target

I agree 100% that Lagos is Yorubaland same as Enugu is Igboland and Kanu is Hausa land.

No one has problems with this except mischief makers.

However, just as in Hausa or Igboland, every citizen has a home state where his forebears come from or state of origin. It would not be good for someone from another state irrespective of belonging to same Ethnic group to deny an indigene opportunity to aspire for governorship in his home state due to the fact that his mom or wife is from another ethnic group.

Is is the high of sheer wickedness! Tinubus son wife's is from Anambra state. Would you deny him of being a governor if he come s to aspire as Osun or Lagos governor just because he married from the Igbo nation? mba nu ooh

Gbedebo Rhodes-Vivour is a true Lagosian and a true Omoluabi.

Princess Abiodun Islamiyat Oyesfusi is a princess of the ancient kingdom of Ikorodu Lagos.

Both Gbedebo and Princess Abiodun Islamiyat Oyesfusi are running under LP as governorship and deputy governorship candidate respectively.

Obidients as true patriots will help this exemplary Omuluabis win the Lagos back to the indigenes and residents.

We must not allow these migrants urchins to deceive true Lagosians and patriotic residents from voting GRV and the amiable Princess running under the LP flag.

A new LAGOS is POssible, a prosperous Lagos is POssible.

This is not meant t come from your mouth, you aren't qualified to give this advise, that's why you failed in installing a governor for Lagos

there are seaports at Warri, Koko, Lagos, Onne, Port Harcourt, Calabar

Currently, apart from the Onne Port, most of the other ports servicing the Southeast, South-South and the Eastern flank of the North are virtually idle.

Despite having six seaports in Nigeria, Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports in Lagos is the only one functioning properly.

NOW THIS ONE IS IN LAGOS AGAIN.....

WHAT HAPPENED TO OTHER STATES WITH DEEP-SEA?
na only to collect our Oil them sabi

This seaport was facilitated by Tinubu when he was lagos state governor, and now it's getting completed.
Too bad you have mostly useless state governors in all those states you listed, they were in PDP as ruling party for 16 years and had no idea what to do with that access. See what Lagos is doing after aligning with the center in just 8 years.

FG should settle them and stop all these nonsense, I see a lot of people here blaming ASUU, but what they don't know is the implication of ASUU succumbing to FG, you see police behavior to Nigerian citizens will be a child's play when it comes to extortion on Nigerian students and the education delivery will be become even poorer just like Police service delivery is in Nigeria presently, The police has succumbed to that system a long time ago, that is why Nigerians suffer under the police system in Nigeria...

Let the FG pay them, it is a battle of survival for the educational system

Most of Nigerias Gas deposits are around Imo, Abia Anambra and now Enugu. Is God not wonderful? Buhari is strategizing to use South Easternngas to buy over the west at thee expense of the same East! It won't fly.. Gas from Igbo land will NEVER be used to save Nigeria.
The EU delegation should go and discuss with real Igbo leaders and not with the federal Nigeria appointed proxies.

The utterly corrupt Nigerian government has misused trillions of dollars worth of Oil incomes for over half a century now. Oil is running out as the main demand in the international market and these guys want to pivot to gas to continue the maximum looting from where they stopped.
We will not agree..

Gas in Nigeria will flow freely when it's being used to improve the living standards of the real owners and not when it's being used to inflate the pockets of the fulani oligarchs and their agbadorian cousins..
They have already passed all sorts of Evil and dubious legislations to loot these resources. So folks must agitate to no end until the right thing is done..

When the leadership mantle passed to your brother and by providence, we earned the highest income from Oil, na waste una waste the money

ASUU man-president forget lecturers get 2009 agreement for 5 years, them forget to build 2nd Niger bridge, forget all the Federal roads in SE and SS, forget there's need to link Bonny island with the rest of Rivers state, forget they needed Eastern seaport, forgot befitting international airport, East West Road babu, North - South and East-West railway forgotten, Itakpe-Warri rail, voicemail

I agree. The greedy man shot himself in the leg. He wanted to become Buhari's running mate, pretending not to know how sensitive Nigeria is when it comes to religion. When you ask him, he'd say after all, abiola and kingibe were Muslims yet won the fairest election in history. He had pretended to note that Nigeria just desperately wanted the military to go that time and usher in democracy, irrespective of who contested.

Even the corruption and insecurity he personally accused Jonathan of are worse off in this administration. Shebi na only chibok girls dem kidnap and they used it to campaign all over. More than 5 schools' students, including university had been kidnapped in this regime . Only their family members paid ransome. Even the chibok girls haven't returned till date, apart from those willingly released by boko haram.

I see all working contrary to his ambition as an act of God. You can't play Him. I don't see buhari handing over to him. He'd rather hand over to amaechi or Osinbajo, a Christian.

You are a religious bigot pretending to be an intellectual. It because we have many stupid people like you in abundance in Nigeria that's why we are stuck with the religious balancing of tickets.
Upon say you have a pastor as VP you are still living in constant fear that they will force you to start wearing turban. What idiots don't know is that Muslims have similar fears that Christians want to dominate them hence will stupidly fight tooth and nail to prevent such a Christian-Christian ticket even if that pair will triple the economy of Nigeria in a single term.

Nigeria is full of very backward reigious bigots mostly the Christians and Muslims

For the elect, these chokings up shouldn't be cheerful news but for the ignorance, more are welcome and you wonder continue to wonder why Lagos has been consistently top the list of the worst livable City in the world .

This your logic is funny, will the railway not make for easier access and mobility through Lagos? Will mobility not improve the lives of people living in the Lekki axis? Do you want the traffic from the ports and refinery to choke the place? Or Lagos should not invest in seaports because other state governments are lazy and don't know their jobs?

Now there is nothing stopping all those shouting about foreign investors in railway instead of Chinese loans. Go and bring them to invest in railway in your states

I feel like the SW political leadership in general are really maximizing their opportunities under this current administration, by attracting solid infrastructure to the region and initiating favourable policies that benefit the region, unlike was the case during past administrations. From the SW lawmakers to the ministers and governors from the region, they've been relatively more assertive in terms of delivery of developmenal dividends than their previous colleagues under past administrations.

But they got appointments, bought private jets (mostly now sold off cheap) and diamond bra under Jonathan, they chop life, what more can they ask for? Na road and railway we go chop?

Before I went to sleep, my wife said to me: This Russia is such a bad country, If Ukraine wants to join Nato, it is their business and freedom, Russia has no right to intervene, this is just an excuse for Russia to invade Ukarine.

So I said nothing, I just went to the kitchen and took a knife to bedside, then I said: Let’s go to sleep.

My wife looked at me with her wide eyes: What the heck are you doing, sleeping with a knife?!?!

I said: No worry, let’s go to sleep. Beside, sleeping with a knife is none of your business and it is my freedom.

My wife said: How can I sleep when you are sleeping with a knife? What if you accidentally cut me?

I said: Well, You don’t even trust your own husband, how can you expect Russia to trust Ukraine? Me sleeping with a knife is like Ukraine joining the Nato.

Supporters of a big bully, why is NATO not the one invading Ukraine and seizing their territories or arming rebels in the country?
