Blessing Amam the final year student of Theatre Arts department in Imo State University who was reportedly found dead alongside her lover in her room goes home to mother earth today.

She was honored by her course mates and the entire student of the university.

Recall that the state Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Enwerem, said,

“It is a case of sudden and unnatural death. The commissioner of police has called for a thorough investigation into the matter. On receipt of the information, our men at Mbieri division rushed to the scene of the incident. The necessary information that aid investigation process has been collected but we call on the members of the public that has pieces of information that will help us unravel the circumstances that led to the death to please come forward”.

But up until now no word has been heard from the police and the real cause of death still remains unknown

A police Sergent serving with the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, in Calabar, Cross River State, has been arrested and detained for alleged murder.

The Sergeant, Edu Nkanu, whose father is a serving Inspector with the Cross River State Police Command, on Sunday, allegedly shot and killed 32-year-old Victoria Ekpe in front of her six-year-old daughter.

The incident took place in his residence at No 11 Joseph Mkpa Street, Ikot Ansa. It was gathered that Nkanu got home drunk from a party at 8.30 p.m on Sunday with a locally-made pistol in his pocket which isn’t his official police riffle.

According to Elizabeth, the deceased’s cousin, “On Sunday, around past 5 p.m, my late cousin and I went out and came back by 8.30 pm. When we got back, she stood outside, pressing her phone while I went in to change my dress.

“When I came out, she was still standing there, fiddling her phone. At that particular time, the policeman came back from an outing. I asked him why he always got drunk anytime he went out. .

He immediately turned and brought out a pistol from his pocket, cocked it and pointed it at me. I got scared and ran. He turned to my sister, who was just busy with her phone, not knowing what we were discussing, and shot her in the neck.”

Victoria’s elder sister, Ekanem, said her sister was killed in front of her six-year-old daughter. She said: “I don’t understand why a police officer would rather take people’s lives instead of saving them. .

We were told at the police station that he had killed someone like this before, where he was serving in Obubra. He has a criminal file in police custody before now. Please, we want justice for my sister.”

Police spokeswoman, Irene Ugbo, said: “The policeman has been arrested; he is in our custody. We are going to deal with him decisively because the gun he used to shot the deceased is not our gun; it is a locally-made pistol. .

So, he is going to tell us where he got that gun from and who ordered him to shoot an innocent woman. There was no quarrel between them, as we were told. Although we heard that he used to threaten people.”

Big Brother Naija finalist, CeeC has shared in a recent chat, how someone barged into her in a rest room while she was trying to put herself at ease.

Cynthia ‘CeeC’ Nwadiora recently granted an interview to Elozonam of the Cliff Hanger show, where she spoke about her sojourn in the Big Brother Naija 2018 reality show held earlier this year.

The first-runner up of the TV show discussed many issues ranging from the drama in the house, endorsement deals, embarrassing day of her life, hates and likes, relationship status and her plans for the future.

“I think it (most embarrassing moment in my life) has to be the day that I wore a jumpsuit and wanted to pee and in trying to zip down and taking off the entire outfit just to pee, someone just came into the house and I was like okay I’m n*ked” she said amidst loud laughter.

When quizzed further, the controversial drama queen refused to mention the identity if the person.

The 26-year old lawyer later explained in the rest of the interview that she is still single and not interested in dating anyone for now.

The commissioner of police in the state, Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa, confirmed that the Anti-Cultism/kidnapping Squad of the command recovered the two human heads from Otu Edem Bassey, 30, in Calabar.

He said police operatives swooped on Bassey and his gang when they were preparing some rituals for their outing. He said Bassey was picked up at his No. 12b Etim Edem Street residence in Calabar, while others took to their heels. .

He said charms and other items used for incantation were also recovered, adding that the suspect would soon be charged to court when investigation is completed.

Speaking to reporters, the suspect accused the police of arresting him and claimed that he was a traditional healer. “The skulls were given to me by my late father to continue with the traditional medicines which he used to practice to cure people. .

I am a herbalist and I heal people of different sickness. I have my license to operate as a herbalist. Somebody ran in front of my house and the Police came to my house to arrest me. .

They have no right because I have been using these skulls for my jobs since my father left it for me some eight years ago,” Bassey said.

The Delta state police command has apprehended one Leo columbus, a 37 years old man for getting ablaze his 3 year old niece Destiny

According to reports, Columbus set fire on his niece because she was defecating in their neighbor's house in Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State

Columbus who was paraded by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Hafiz Inuwa insisted that he did not intend to kill Destiny, but only acted out of anger.

According to him, he started taking care of the child, who is his brother’s daughter, two years ago.

He said his neighbours had been complaining that the little girl, whose parents are in Lagos, was always defecating in their houses.

“People have been complaining and I have been ignoring it until that day. Someone reported to me that she had defecated in their place again. With the annoyance that she defecated on someone’s pumpkin and water leaf, I beat her up.”

Columbus, who added that at the time he was burning some grasses, said in anger, he threw the burning grasses on her, which severely burnt part of her body.

“When I saw that she was burnt, I became remorseful and bought drugs and gave to her. I did not plan to kill her. She is my brother’s daughter. I did it out of annoyance.

“I can’t lock her inside the house, but I always told her to stay in the house and that if she wanted to go to the toilet, she should do it in the house, but she still went out and defecated in neighbour’s houses,” Columbus said.

CP Inuwa said Columbus tied the girl to a guava tree and set her ablaze, adding that he was arrested immediately.

The police commissioner said the victim was rushed to the General Hospital in Akamkpa for treatment and later taken to an orphanage for proper attention.

Vusi Nhlakanipho Zuma, one of the sons of former South African president Jacob Zuma has died.

Vusi Nhlakanipho, who was the youngest son of Zuma and his late wife Kate Mantsho, died on Sunday night in Johannesburg after a short illness, News 24 reported.

Vukile Mathabela, the media liaison at the Presidency, told News24 that details of Vusi’s death would be released later on Monday, once a family spokesperson is appointed.

Kate Mantsho‚ who committed suicide in 2000, had five children for Zuma. She was 44 when she died, after taking an overdose of sleeping pills and malaria tablets.

Vusi Nhlakanipho was believed to have been born in 1993. His siblings include the well-known twins Duduzane and Duduzile.

Condolences have been pouring in for Zuma, with Reverend Jesse Jackson tweeting on Sunday night that he was sending his prayers and condolences to the Zuma family.

Polygamous Zuma has as many as 24 children, from many wives.

A three years old boy who was involved in the Lagos Ibadan tanker fire has been declared missing.

An instagram user posted his photo and wrote

The boy in this picture is a three year old named Eyitayo. He was involved in the unfortunate tanker accident with his Mother, twin sister and the Driver at Otedola bridge yesterday evening. They were a few cars away from the tanker when the explosion occurred. The Driver (Mr. Joseph) carried Eyitayo while the mother escaped with Eyitoke(Eyitayos Twin). The where about of Eyitayo and Mr. Joseph is still unknown as all attempts to trace them at the scene of the accident proved abortive.
