egift: 1. The flight used was not properly cleared in Nigeria before leaving for South Africa as required by law. 2. The means and channel used in transferring the money was illegal (Nigeria has a cashless policy in place aimed to discourage actions like that). 3. Considering the volume of cash and the amount of weapon it can buy, South Africa have the authority to be dully notified. But were not. 4. How do you explain an official transaction that did not include any official aboard the flight. 5. Only a rogue nation uses a plane registered for Gospel and Missionary work to smuggle money meant for illegal arms deal. 6. The money being moved in that manner can be used for anything and diverted at any point with a trace. We only know because the got caught. Thanks to Sahara Reporters. 7. As usual, the first response were denials. The SA did not hold it and released more information, Nigerians would not have gotten a confession and acceptance. 8. The lies told, deception promulgated and shielding of the smugglers show their is more than meet the eyes.
So how can in the mist of these deception, will you not even accept that the FG made mistakes (did wrong) and even now promote it is the fault of APC? Is the money, the jet, the pilot, the passengers and the officials conducting these shady business members of APC? Or you are just angry that the thief got caught and this is a "One Day For The Owner (Nigerians)"? i look at your reasons and i laugh at your ignorance, nigerian domestic cashless policy should now be applied on matters of military procurements, and who told you the Cape authorities where not dully informed, are you going to back that with existing evidence, do you hold it on solid fact and authority that the SA authorities where unware of any such transaction before it commenced? Do you think the south Africans are not trying to undermine nigerian interest and are doing the right thing in ignoring diplomatic channels and going all out to broadcast the details of an official confidential Arms deal ( if with the available evidence you still don't think so then there is a problem) |

egift: 1. As a Christian: Am very offended that the PDP is using Christainity and the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as a cover for their evil of money laundery and illegal arm smuggling. Perpetrating acts that leads to the deaths of human souls.
2. As a Nigerian: I am very heart-broken that our Government is looting us in every single turn imaginable. Under developing this country. Mortgaging the future of Nigeria. Sabotaging he "Labours Of Our Heroes Past". Amassing our collective fortunes as if they own it. Drowning us in loans that they have no ideas on how to repay.
3. As a Literate: I hate the insult to our sensibilities as people. Taking us for granted. Giving us lame excuses for their deliberate misrule. Installing the most incompetent folks in position of power.
Finally, I find it very unforgivable for citizens like to poster to come here and hold brief for an evil deed that is bright as day. I have no problem with people having a totally different opinion - But even the truth should be seen once in a while.

SLIDEwaxie: Why don't you shut and own up, ehn? Of what good is this PDP since 1999?
Is it not this APC that started giving some of their elects the run for their money?
Most of them started performing just few years back from the fear of ACN, now APC taking over their state!
But at the federal level, what was the achievement?
Ever rising debt profile? Incessant corruption? Hobnob with the corrupt politicians? Decaying educational system? Affordable Federal health system in each state? Good federal roads in most states? Stupid revenue allocation policy? Inflation reduction? Good railway lines? Nice locomotive railways carriage? Of what good has this administration actually been since 1999? Or maybe is hould say: since 2011 because Yar dua really was on the way to building on OBJ's policy. He has already reduced the running cost of governance and almost solved the insurgent's wahala both boko haram and the militants..

The nigerian opposition party have shown a radiant level of irresponsibility and hostility toward the nigerian polity and why is this? Is it that the opposition think they can do it better? Well if they think so then let them wait cus 2015 is just around the corner, why are they trying by every means necessary to destroy the polity just to gain cheap political points, or do they think they are the only opposition on earth, we have opposition all over but the opposition here have shown a very high level of " irresponsible and unpatriotic display of hostility towards the government of the country, they ve made statements that encourage disunity and anarchy, ve tried severally to undermine the faith of the nigerian people on their government. It is no news that the nigerian people and their government are at war against the forces of extremism( it should be noted that it is generally believed by nigerians that the opposition are complicit in this crime against the people they seek to lead) and this war is a war that has to be fought with weapons several attempts by the nigerian government to acquire the needed weapons to be used in prosecuting the war against terror have being foiled by the " enemies of the nigerian state" one would expect a patriotic and responsible opposition to rally round the government in support but the statements being made by the opposition only goes to say that they are supporters of our enemies, proponents of our failures and advocates of a weak and failed nigerian state, they have clearly shown to us that as long as Jonathan remains the president of Nigeria they (APC) WILL NEVER HAVE A NIGERIAN INTEREST AT HEART, this is what we ve seen noticed and watched helplessly as they battle shamefully to win a noble position that we all know they are unfit for overhypedsteve |

unuane1: Our attention has been drawn to a statement by the APC wherein it again embarrassed itself on issues regarding the genuine efforts by the Federal Government to tackle the security challenges facing our nation. Our response to the APC is that we are solidly behind President Goodluck Jonathan in the steps he is taking to ensure the safety of Nigerians and defend our sovereignty as a nation, especially in the light of their connivance with foreign interests to embarrass the government and people of Nigeria. We state categorically that the actions preferred by some foreign nations against our dear country as we seek solution to our security challenges are unacceptable and totally uncalled for, especially given our cordial relationship with them and the roles Nigeria and Nigerians citizens played in assisting them in their internal struggles. Given the rush with which the APC attacked the presidency, it is clear that they are working hand in glove with foreign interests in a concerted effort to tarnish the image of our dear nation, ridicule our government and frustrate genuine efforts towards ending the insecurity challenges we face as a nation. Any responsible opposition which has the interest and welfare of the people at heart as the APC claims would concentrate on proffering solution to the problems of the nation instead of seeking political capital at all times. Instead, we have an opposition that has been conniving with foreign interests to destroy the image and unity of their own country as a means to achieve political control. The APC is aptly likened to a quarrelsome wife, who daily goes to the market place to discuss her marital problems. We ask, does such a woman seek the unity or disintegration of her home? In the same vein Nigerians wonder if the APC is really interested in the unity and corporate existence of our nation. Are they trying to destroy our country as a means to achieve political control through the back door? The APC must come to terms with the fact that Nigeria as a indivisible nation has come to stay. They must know that Nigerians are resolute in their determination to live together as one people. Our final response is that the PDP and indeed Nigerians of good faith are solidly behind President Jonathan and no amount of blackmail or connivance with foreign interests will deter or detract the PDP-led administration from the resolve to find a permanent solution to the security challenges in our country. Unfortunately , the two countries (Liberia and Sierera Leone ) the virus is worst hit are people who paid back Nigeria's sacrifice of human and material in the days of their need with INGRATITUDE. Whether it's reason Nigeria is not willing to help them again, time shall tell. Today,(SOUTH AFRICA ) another African country Nigeria did everything humanly possible to liberate from deadly grasp of apartheid regime, is now paying us back in their own way, which includes the embarrassment they Meted to our president during Mandela burial. No doubt, Nigeria has created a high standard in the fight against the virus. I mean all it takes to build a solid road or bridge is to assemble the right engineers and award the contract to a capable firm, provided the funds are avialable. That is not rocket science. It is one of the easiest task any leader could undertake.
However, Kwankwaso can demonstrate his intelligence or competence in the number of industries and businesses his regime resurrected and the new ones he attracted to Kano. That is where the hardwork and brain work is.
But I agree that Kwankwaso is a strong personality. coming from even you |

You dont say because American soldiers wear gas mask to fight lets buy gas mask for our soldiers no, you only but what you need, either old or new. |

ayindejimmy: Meanwhile, it was gathered that the Nigerian military has already given an order to AH-1 Cobra helicopters for attacks on Boko Haram enclaves in Sambisa Forest and the hilly terrains of Gwoza and Madagali in Borno and Adamawa states. According to another source within the DHQ, the AH-1 Cobra helicopters are good for the terrain in the North-East, especially as it has also been used by several other countries like the United States, adding that other countries have used gunships in the past. READ ALSO: Military Tribunal Begins Trial Of Lt Cols, Major, Several Others “The Cobra helicopters were deployed by the US during the Vietnam War. The situation in Sambisa Forest could be likened to what was then obtainable in Vietnam,”the source said. The Huey Cobra gave support for ground forces during the Vietnam War. The AH-1, with the company designation: model 209 is a two-blade, single engine attack helicopter produced by Bell Helicopter http://www.naij.com/300913-army-swore-vengeance-beheaded-pilot-issues-new-order.html
So our military still use a military plane used in a 1950 Vietnam war in this millenium of advance warships? Are we condemed to buy scraps? We want to win a 2014 war but we're using 64 years old weapons. May God protect our innocent soldiers. We certainly dnt av leaders- just looters mumu, i know that's what you wanted to say, the AH cobra is just the name of a series of chopper that is being operated by the us army, and they have different upgraded versions, take for example Toyota camry has a 2006 version and also a 2015 version, the version used to prosecute the war in Vietnam are not in the production line again.
