CFCfan:thank you, i think for now we may have to convene all our fabrication experts, mechanical engineers, our experts at Nasdra and Afit. We need to convene them and tell them to start working seriously toward the local fabrication of a jet engine( i believe this is one area where even countries like China, Iran, Japan and Korea are having problem) the airforce should give them their specifications i.e. This is what we want, this is how we want it, this is why we want it. The company that is able to present exactly what the airforce want will be awarded the contract and empowered for mass production, that's how Bae, Lockheed martins, Boeing, GMC of America compete to get defence contract. That way there will be competitive competence, sustainability, skills transfer at the expense of the private companies, take for example if we sign a contract with proforce to produce MRAPS its now their duty to provide for the foreign training of their staffs on how to weld armoured metals, how to work with armoured glass and how to effectively screw up and weld joints without leaving any weak points |
gidjah:they where being sarcastic, yes its not a toy and i agree with you backed by evidence that that plane is a disaster on the loose, some even call it flying coffin, Hedima our gallant man lost his life because he was using one of those to play a role it was never meant for. |
You wasted too much resources on that rubbish post |
ROSSIKE:bros he said battle ship, not those things you are posting. |
Lol dem dun dey use yam rope dey tie tire join our jets make e nor fall abi? Joke, yea this is a joke what about the pre flight maintenance crew wetin do them wey the nor know say the tire go fall commot like orange |
Our many jets we get to be registering this much maintenance problem. [b] how art the mighty (tires ) fallen |
enomakos:chai see funny question, no its made in Sudan. You can visit their factory in ogun state, Yes it is made in Nigeria start to finish, they also make drones and gun boats, but our government have showed not to patronize them fully, they are the future of west Africa and indeed central Africa defence industry. |
Ibnsultan:there are better men for the job. 2014 almost gone no 4th generation jet in sight, no known upgrade to our Gulma drones ( and we had the gut to send cash to SA to buy their seeker drone )no new defence contract, no navy frigate in sight, no good news from dicon ( it is painful to note that among the shoplist for our butched deal with the south Africans was : fnfal rifle, helmet sets, and some other gadgets that dicon had in its production line)maybe Dicon is failing already we wont know, where are the RPG7 they where working on that had scope, where are the artillery systems they fabricated, where are the GPMG's they told us about, when do we start fielding them? |
Ibnsultan:bros let us upgrade our defence industry and give them the necessary R & D capability we seriously need to start churning out indigenous systems that can compete favourably with international standard take for example the leopard ACV by proforce haven't you seen it, its light and fast with a machine gun turret at the top this are nigerian made products that we need to develope on. The leopard could be used for urban patrol, border patrol and even VIP escort ( since we love our VIP so much) by the mobile police force and our joint task force. We keep hearing we need mraps! we need mraps! Why did the army not sign a deal with proforce to work together in producing this things, what about airdefence systems sign a joint contract with NASDRA after all works are on going at the space lift and propulsion center at Epe. Let us focus on creativity the production of the light trainer aircraft by the airforce institute of technology have been stalled now because of funds when a bill is sitting in the national assembly waiting to be signed a bill that is supposed to empower our own AFIT to global competitiveness by making it an institution of its own, so that it can seek funds on its own sign bilateral partnership and sponsor its own project with its budget ( right now it draws from the airforce budget) so this are things that i have seen and i think i should speak out on.

Pk001:bros you don't understand many things so let me pick out one of them and try to make you understand, policies, rules and laws are not made without first of all putting in place the necessary checks to avoid the abuse of this rules ( ultravires) when senior military officers are now given the mandate to be the accuser, the prosecutor the judge of one man right there in the bush there would be a very high likelihood of bias, and my friend the principle Audi auturem partem would be greatly violated how can you try a person without fair hearing before a just and unbiased tribunal (in the case of the military). Do you know what how far this would cost innocent men if it is institutionalized, do not speak to me about the law you think justice is a blind b1tch for nothing the decision of any case must be fair and unbiased case example :: Cooper. V. Wandsworth board of works (1863) Jst. Bytes said " the law of God and man both give the party an opportunity to make his defence if any. I remember to have heard a learned man say that even God himself did not pass sentence on Adam before he was called upon to make his defence" |
Ibnsultan:yea, then we can now call them AC130 like the US did to theirs ATTACK and CARGO aircraft |
aanumama:my dear this thing really look like signs of the time oh. |
Why that matured man go talk this kine mumu thing. Chai e dun set for any hungry man wey join army oh! Next year recruitment form wont be sold in the bank them go dey beg people to buy am. Chei this one na correct #BUSHMARTIAL |
Ibnsultan:the NA air unit would be needing a lot of Gunships, mediovacs choppers, transports aircraft, drones for surveillance and recon and dedicated ISR compliant assets for surveillance. I don't think the NA should bother itself now about having too many fixed wings aircraft let them focus more on close air support and transport. |
Ibnsultan:yea. My opinion is that we get the jets on a skill transfer and maintenance program where our own dicon will get the licence to produce the avionics for the jet. That way we will be killing two stones with one bird |
Ibnsultan:i am sorry we cant allow that in Nigeria ( that's what the corrupt fat pigs will tell you ) they will plot a coup. |
Ibnsultan:yea just like the Lockheed martins f35(2006) and the Russian suckhoi su35 (2008) this are recent multi role airframes |
Ibnsultan:bros i dun see some beer parlour political discussion almost end in tears when full grown men realise how helpless they are against a rotten and corrupt system. As in sometimes i wish the NA allows for the formation of a union to Hampton for the interest of the officers. And another problem that was spelt out of recent is that most of the leaders leading this country do not care about it, my exact words in one of my post was " we have some of the most disgruntled and unpatriotic elements at the helm of power this people have undermined the whole concept of the Nigeria state. and even those that are planning to contend for 2015 are not any better. Can anybody please ask tinubu, kwanwaso and Atiku this question - what is our national interest as a nation and what does the three concentric circle means in the formulation of our foreign policy |
Nigerdeltaboi:bros believe me if you see SU30 cold go catch you. |
Ibnsultan:funny guy, if im see su30 fear go catch am, |
Ibnsultan:we lack virtually everything, we lack the necessary fixed wing asset for troop transportation and force insertion, we lack an effective ground attack airframe, we lack a comprehensive and coherent doctrine for asymmetric welfare, our boys lack the necessary motivation ( how do you tell someone that joined the army to feed his family to now stand in front of boko harams AAA gun), personnel welfare is poor, the insurance package is not secured (if i die for front, how am i sure one mumu oga nor go carry the insurance money meant for my kids schooling, we lack an effective border patrol program( i am not talking about all this xompromised fire brigade multi national border patrol), ok ibnsultan let me break it down for you. We don't know how to make hay when the sun shine na when night come na then we go dey find where to buy candle and matches ) yes! I know you know what i am talking about, i am talking about the failures by the nigerian military to project grievous force not because it was not trained to do so but because it was not equipped to do so. Aside; i have some confidential pics of our Airforce boys in Russia, them and their Russian trainers, i ll post it in Henry120 thread for African mil and security only when i am sure they re done with their training and are back. |
Keneking:men that jet is an outdated joke |
victorels:nasrda not nasda and for airspace management nasda is not the agency with that jurisdiction. |
daslimentceo:both nations need each other and the it will be at a great cost to the citizens and economy of both nations if any rash decisions is to be taken, my opinion is that this faceoff will still be settled diplomatically but at the highest level i.e. Both leaders will rub minds not just diplomats |
banki:when the people voted him in did they think there wont be mistakes? Shortcomings and huddles to cross, did they vote in a God |
2legit2qwt:you think say na as you dey hustle to run leave naija to any country to do odd jobs na so everybody life be |
How can we join you in fighting a war we know nothing about, the military PR is just too poor that anything we hear from this " fifth columnist" we just have to believe |
borga112:well that's a good move, when we donated here in Nigeria the president just sat on his chair and signed 13mil dollars no need for all the fanfare, wetin ebola patient wan use oil and milk do? |
banki:Will you blame Mr president if an earthquake occurs today in nigeria resulting in lose of lives. The goodluck Jonathan administration have seen the continuous removal of more public administrative officials than any other administration in Nigeria from the military to his cabinet and all this are in a bit to curb corruption and incompetence , you must agree with me that president goodluck Jonathans administration is faced with some of the worst challenges ever in the history of Nigeria, this is the first time we re seeing an unconventional religious army within our borders threatening to destroy the peace we all enjoy, this is the first time that we ve seen any leader ever in the history of Nigeria to undertake all the roles of the nation on his shoulder, this is the first time that we ve seen so much progress and diversification of our economy. This is the first time that a nigerian leader have recorded so much successes in the first of so much challenges. I leave it to you to chose who you will align with, the tested or the untested. |
Akiika:we all benefit daily from his rule so long as a Gun wielding terrorist have not entered your house to kill you and your loved ones yet, we remain beneficiaries of his competence |
