So I was at Stanbic IBTC Place yesterday for an interview for the role of CSO, my contact person then sent another mail to me later in the evening for the same interview scheduled for 24th March. Could this be a mix up or something?

well a CSO is an operations staff, they just got restructured this year, they were formerly called enquiry officers. they are very important to the bank at the moment cuz a restructuring is going on about them. they are mostly BTO 2. Dont really know much about new entries tho... more CSO's are needed at the moment throughout the bank just like the management has mandated, might probably have two each in a branch soon.

Do you work with Stanbic at the moment? Such insider info...

I didn't apply with any hr's mail. I applied directly to their career page when they advertised their graduate trainee recruitment exercise late last year.

It was just a simple interview. Tell about yourself and few questions from ur cv. The interview is short. After interview, I got medicals and documentation invite next day. It all happened this month

Bro, is the client service officer role an entry level one?
Did the interviewers bother you about experience in the job role when you went for your interview?
And please, how long has it been since you began the recruitment process with Stanbic?

Yes, PBB handles the client service officer role. There could have been a mix up though. There were several cases like that too.

Do you know if the client service officer role is an 'experienced hire' position?

From what an HR person said, if you apply for Graduate Trainee and your role is streamlined to one of the Personal and Business Banking(PBB) role. Below could be one of the reason
You attended a private school not listed among those for the Graduate trainee path (only 3 private schools in Nigeria qualify for this.... From what he said)

You attended a state school

You are above 26 years.

All you've said do not apply to me in anyway.
I'm below 26 and I attended a Federal school.
And is the client officer role related to PPB?

I applied for a graduate trainee position with Stanbic but the interview invite shows 'Client Service Officer'. Is it Stanbic's norm to choose job roles for candidates?

I still didn't get it. let me retype the question . abs company placed an order. No amount was paid. U said I shld use purchase order but it didn't show unpaid.

2, someone bought an item but paid half of the money .
3, a vendor brought a report that he was under paid by our company

If the company places an order then sales order is where you'd treat that.
You'll only have to take the transaction to sales/invoicing if the company(customer) receives the ordered item(s). Even without payment the transaction should still go to sales/invoicing; the transaction will reflect as unpaid hence an account receivable(customer) is triggered.

2. You'll record this under sales/invoicing with the part payment figure as the amount. The balance will automatically reflect as owing/outstanding which may become an account receivable if the obligation remains unsettled in due time.

3.After verifying truly that an underpayment happened, you should be able to trace the transaction where the underpayment first occurred and rectify the figure after balancing the vendor in real life. #myopinion

The purchase order reflects a list of items to be bought.

It'll reflect as unpaid. You only then record under purchase/receive inventory when the goods have been received. In this case a transaction has taken place and accounting info will be updated

Got this some minutes ago Dear Candidate,

The Text Message sent to you by PwC was basically to inform you that you were short-listed for our Graduate Recruitment assessment test.

You will receive a message from SHL within the next few days (note that the message has not yet been sent but will be sent in due course)

The message from SHL will include a link and clear instructions on how to start the test. The SHL tests will done online and not in our office.

Please note that you will NOT RECEIVE ANY instructions from PwC.

Just like one of us mentioned, the Nigerian job market is not saturated at all. You have majority of the jobs concentrated in just a part of the country. HRs become choosy even when you possess the needed skills and/or experience...
