For people who’ve made paid calls and sent paid mail, do you always get an escalation email from UKVI? To tell you your application is under consideration and been worked on?

Divinehenrich:
I am having two conflicting answers.
You need pcc, if you don’t include it initially you will delay your application and they will request for it

Several factors to consider.
Ages if the children.
Visa type (you didn’t mention if both parents are working or will be working. Or if there is a student visa involved.

If you are on a workwr visa, you need to consider if it’s an A-list sponsor or just some mediocre sponsor who will ‘bring you’ to the UK and then decide to put you an a queue for training and not pay you for >1 month.

Do you have plenty plenty money to spend should things not go on as expected within your 1st 3 months (for any reason)?

Etc….
Thanks....this your moniker always makes me laugh sha.....both will be working, not mediocre sponsor and as an overthinker and as a staunch follower of this thread, at least 3 months has been the plan to prepare even if it goes better than expected, I always hope for the best but expect the worse in situation you can't control, but children are so important and that's why I needed people's input

Your moniker is quite apt. cheesy

It's your choice, you can come with your kids but know it won't be easy as it may take up 2 months to get Accomodation and a parent has to be with them while the other is either at work or school so it would be tough but leaving them behind has its own cons too so just choose and brace yourself for the tough times ahead many of us here have had to pass through.
Thanks boss, you get the reason behind the moniker cheesy.......you teach a lot here, still quietly learning

It’s depends if your children can stay on there one but it’s risky as no one can know about a
Child of under 13 staying alone is a crime Id advise you put them back to naija till you balance up especially now that gettin work is very difficult. I pay up to 700quids for child minding and if you don’t earn a lot it might be so hard to keep up with. Unless if the money dy parenting, schooling and working is difficult thing to run simultaneously in the uk. I am just coming up depression omoh e no easy here o
Thanks

If you have someone to drop them with then come separately will be my advice. Once you settled it would be easily to get them here.

If you don't have who to drop them for...then family will hussle it together. Might not be easy but God dey
Thanks ma'am, I expected you to contribute and you didn't disappoint

I have a family of 4, and we all came to the UK together. We were lucky to get an accommodation within one week of arrival last year august, but i guess accommodation is scarce for couple with kids currently. Honestly, it hasn't been easy up till now. One person must stay with the kids while the other works full time. The former only gets to work when the later is off duty. To survive in the UK sufficiently and have savings, you need two fulltime working adults. However, one person might be doing night shifts while the other does day shifts, if the jobs are available. These are the challenges.

If you choose to come without your kids, you will make a lot of money and save massively. This new impending immigration rule will only affect new Msc students' visa applicants.

My advice would be, if you are on tier 2, come without your kids.
If you are yet to apply for student visa, plan to come with your kids.

Cheers
Thanks, appreciate this

Good evening people, is it advisable for a family of 4 to relocate with their kids instantly or should they leave the kids back at first and come over to get to know about life here? people talk about school commitments and how both parents can't attend that and also work, dropping of kids at school and picking them also. Is it something that can be managed or do they take their time before the kids come join them

Hello comrades. I know this topics has been talked about so much here.
But I am about setting out to build in Nigeria cos I have no home in Nigeria. I am divided about making tenement building or just a private house. This also looking forward to a retirement income in Nigeria in the years to come. Is tenement house still not a good venture? And does anyone has any suggestions aside erecting a rental flat in Nigeria
The location of the property in Nigeria will determine your ROI, but I have come to the conclusion that property for rentals doesn't give you great ROI in Nigeria except its a service apartment, event centres or a warehouse rented out to businesses. Tenement flats rate even in the main areas in Lagos don't even begin to compare to the amount you invested. The only reason I'll advise people to build flats for rent in Nigeria is to eventually sell years later, because rent is so so low in Nigeria compared to other countries..........might be wrong, just my point of view.

Ps: Nigeria rent is annual not monthly like UK

is the second parent not going? Attach the second parent’s visa as well as they probably think he is not going thats why they are asking for care arrangements
Thanks for the suggestion oggg, the other parent is awaiting his visa also, as he applied with the children

Its pretty straight foward...

Explain that the national population council birth certificate need came up when the travel abroad need came up thats why it was done not too long ago. That u have been using the certificate issued by the hospital or local goverment ..(make sure u have a backdated certificate from the Hospital they were birthed or the local goverment.....Na naija u dey...)

The rest too is pretty straight foward... u should have hospital birth records... if u dont have or its lost...go to the hospital and tell the admin......they will give it to you as long as u birthed ur children there......

Same thing for school records....

For Evidence of care and suitable accommodation.... abeg make pple with children come explain ooo..........

..but u can explain that u have made contact with suitable care agency for ur kids especially if they are toddlers.....and add proof like email screen shot

....if ur kids are 5 years already, that means they will be going to school..so... have records u have contacted suitable school they will possibly attend

Same for accomodation...as a married person with one or two kids...u will need at least a two bedroom flat....make contact with an real estate coy and show evidence u have made the necessary contact for a 2 bed apartment.
Thanks so much advanceDNA, others are straightforward like you said but the issue is about the care and accommodation. The MA is still around but leaving soon to put all that in order, can her COS be used to support that, as the employer marked Y for maintenance and we know securing an apartment from here is always difficult……so I am thinking of replying with the MA’s COS for that and for the school contacting schools will be difficult as we don’t know what area we will be living yet and how close it will be to schools we will be contacting……..thanks for all you do
