And in fact I expected that she would have hit at least 500,000 followers the first week. She is still on 150,,,,,,. The error she made was opening that site on her name...... she was not advised well!!!!!
It's not about the name of her site. I actually think she should include her name in almost every site that she does because that is her brand, so is her face, so it has nothing to do with the name. But more to do with the fact that she thinks it's only her popularity that can sustain those sites. Popularity only helps to a certain level but the quality of the product will be the major sustaining factor. She's also trying to use freebies to woo people. That also won't last.

Btw, 500k members no be beans. nairaland has just about 500k members and no other site in Nigeria can boast of having 500k registrations. Sso, i think LIS can done very well so far for having 150k members in less than a month. That's actually a first not just in Nigeria but in Africa. She should just focus on the quality of her site and everything will be fine.

2 million dollars is so much money for a platform not a month old. Hotels.ng got 2.3 million dollars after being in the market for 2-3 years. It's a good bargain if you ask me.
Linda Ikeji already has huge followers hip and over 100 thousand people have already registered. Which means that LIS has more members than 98% of websites in Nigeria. So, whether it is new or not is a non issue here. If Linda Ikeji says she wants to launch a website in 6 month time, don't be surprised if she starts getting investors before the website kicks off because they know she has a huge following through her blog.

But linda should know that having money is not the only prerequisite to run an online business. Due diligence e needs to be followed. She has made very wrong calls recently with LIS and Linda Ikeji Music and I wonder if she has people giving her advice.

STOP SAYING TRASH. DID YOU KNOW HOW MUCH DAVIDO GET LET ALONE OF WIZKID?

LINDA IS STILL A LOCAL CHAMPION. WIZKID IS AN INTERNATIONAL ARTISTE . HE TRAVELS THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE WORLD... CHILLING WITH INTERNATIONAL FIGURES
This guy is ignorant. Linda Ikeji is not a musician, so she has no business travelling like wizkid and David do but she way richer than these two.

Bros why you dey turn the thing into tribalism? We know that aunty is Igbo and by the way im delta ibo a speak Igbo too but on platforms li this every other Nigerians are , too and shud b respected.

Just as peopl said trump was racist due to some things he said, in like manner some statement are tribalistic oo
There's nothing wrong with someone being proud of a successful person being from his place. If Linda I keep was from my village, I will advertise her everyday. You are Igbo, so be proud of her.

Don't flatter Seeun, he has got nothing on Linda. Nairaland doesn't grow, seun has no business strategy and doesn't even rebrand NL. Linda is everything Seeun is not. Seeun is successful though.

@ bolded, Was it Linda that publicised the news? Yall just hate on successfil females for no reason. if Seun actually rejected an offer as huge as this, it would be on the news.
Seun actually turned down $1 million some years back for naira land. But I think he got around the same amount for Nairalist.

So what's the secret, why are there so many Igbo players there na? Nice one to my Eastern neighbors

Meanwhile, Oshoala we are expecting goals from you
Eastern Neighbors? I thought you said you're Igbo in the thread where you said Igbo boys in festac were being unruly. Why don't you people just be proud of your tribalism instead of claiming to come for the tribe that you're out to bash.
Politics › Re: Why Conduct Of Ondo Election On Saturday Will Violate The Law – Jegede by Ovokoo: 8:16pm On Nov 24, 2016
APC just played a smart one on PDP. They intentionally left the decision on who the PDP candidate is for late to cause confusion.
Politics › Re: Ikpeazu Opens Shopping Mall In Umuahia (pics) by Ovokoo: 7:48pm On Nov 24, 2016
Is there any plan for a mall to be opened in Aba cos i think this mall should have been built in Aba instead.

I find it highly shameful that some like Theo Orji will attend such an event. Do these people do some soul searching? He's supposed to ask himself why he couldn't pull off something like this while in power.

you're just deluded, it doesn't have to be IMF or world bank Bush man. pWC is in a league called the big four which consists of earnst & young , Kpmg and Deloitte.
What a dolt. You must think everybody lives under a rock like you. How exactly does PWC compare with the world bank or IMF?

That means if you schoool in Nigeria you should never become the Minister Of Finance in this country? Well as Nigerians we don't believe in ourselves or institutions.
Is that what you inferred from my comment? CV is becoming which school a person attended. The persons experience us most important. Unfortunately, Kemi's CV is just inadequate.

For the first time, AD stands a chance. This election will be very close. I think the internal squambling in PDP will affect them greatly. That is why they have been calling on INEC to postpone the election.

So, women should be living in fear?
Even when provoked, they should remain silent?
Even when men are provoked, they should remain silent. Why are men told to take a walk when their wives abuse them verbally but women are not told to do the same? Double standard much? No?
Politics › Re: Say No To 'Women's Equality' by Ovokoo: 7:33pm On Nov 23, 2016

Lol..replace the word Blacks in your quote with women and the word Whites with the word men and you are looking at what you yourself are suggesting with this very thread.

For as long as Nigerian men seek to be put over Nigerian women let the White man be put over you.It is called karma and it is only fair.
The OP got his title very wrong. I think what he's against is an inequality that puts the woman ahead of the man and not Equality. I'm in support of true equality where everyone will be treated equally or an inequality where everyone will be treated based on their strengths and weaknesses.
